MDSOD Event Space is a wedding and reception venue in Kansas City, MO. This church-turned-dance studio provides an elegant setting with a classic touch for you and your guests. Their open floor plan and customizable package options will allow you to create a setting that matches your dream vision. MDSOD Event Space was originally built as a church, before transforming into a dance studio in 2009. Owner Diana started her artistic career at the age of 15, and now uses her studio as a welcoming place for members of all ages. While there is plenty of space for you and your guests to express themselves, you will also be surrounded by exposed brick and stained-glass windows. These details, along with the hardwood floor, will add a traditional aesthetic to any modern nuptial event. You will have access to the upper level of MDSOD, which has a capacity of up to 100 people. The studio’s team will meet with you for an initial consultation, along with two prenuptial meetings, to discuss your schedule and ideal theme. Tables, chairs, linens, and various décor will be provided to you, and can be set up to any arrangement you want. Along with your ceremony space, you and your wedding party can prepare themselves in the property’s dressing suite. Your caterers will have full access to the kitchen and prepare your various cuisines. If you plan to have a larger crowd, you will be able to use the downstairs level as well. No matter the size of your celebration, the dedicated staff will be on site, to ensure everything goes smoothly during your romantic moments.
