Terrible communicator, didn't listen to us and took our 400 dollar deposit. we were supposed to do engagement photos and the first time she never emailed us back. the second time, ...
she cancelled the day of. After that we emailed her to say we were going to find another photographer. She never responded but emailed months later asking about when we wanted to do a shot list like she was still doing our wedding!!! Stay away, she will scam you!
Affordable CD package (Wedding and Engagement photos) for under $1000 but photographer is not professional and photographs are average. Expect a lot of frustration if you are worki...
ng with this photographer and a long wait for your photographs!
We liked her (Kara Knutson) when we met with her to review the photos. She forgot to bring the contract to sign that day, but she took our deposit and cashed it without a signed co...
ntract. We were then coerced into signing the contract because she wouldn't give the deposit back.
She then fell off the face of the earth for months.
Then we tried to set up engagement photos three months in advance. She told me her schedule was wide open and didn't want to schedule anything for a while. Two months pass and I don't hear from her so I contact her and she says she booked for the next month except for three days, so we never did engagement photos.
Due to her non-response we booked a much better photographer, but she scammed us out of $400.
She is a con-artist. She was very friendly at first, but will not deliver on what she has promissed and will cash your checks without a contract.
I should have known right off the bat that Kara was super unprofessional. Even just coordinating a time to meet was very unorganized (example, looking at the wrong month to set up ...
a meeting and then referring to herself as a "dummy" for doing so). We finally met and I was really impressed by her work, but then she went off on a tangent for 15 minutes about some family drama that she had going on. I'm a social worker, so it wasn't that off-putting, but I still thought it was unusual and a tad unprofessional. But she was a good price and so we went ahead and sent in the contract and check. Two months later, I tried contacting her to arrange engagement photos. She did not respond to my email. I waited around a week, then attempted to call her. To my surprise, her phone number was disconnected. I tried not to panic, I sent her another email. I called her every day to see if her phone was connected again. In total, it took 2 weeks to hear back. I called every day, sent her emails, tried contacting her via her website, sent her facebook messages. When we finally were in touch, she had lots of shady excuses. She said that she got locked out of her email, she said she doesn't respond to facebook messages, she said that she never got my email via her website. We ultimately ended up signing with a new photographer because we didn't want to stress about another incident like this. Kara would not refund our deposit, so we were out $400. Brides and grooms, save yourself the hassle. Do not sign with Kara! You'll regret it! This was a nightmare experience!
Kara is relaxed, fun, and professional. She knows how to add some energy to the day and get things done!! This makes the whole family enjoy themselves more which will translate int...
o the photography as well! I cannot wait to see how the end products turn out!
I am so happy that my fiance and I decided to hire Kara (owner of ME Photos) for our wedding! She was more than just our photographer. Her great personality and quick wit made ta...
king formal pictures a breeze. I struggle to be the "center of attention," but Kara kept reassuring me and worked wonderful interference with picky relatives who were bringing me down.
The candid photos are also amazing! Kara never got in the way of the ceremony and reception, yet she captured every moment beautifully. We received so many great pictures of our wedding that we are still enjoying sifting through them.
If you are looking for a photographer, meet with Kara! Working with her has been such a pleasure. She gave us the best price (compared to other photographers we interviewed) and an unbelievable experience!
Kara was more than an amazing photographer for my wedding! She went above and beyond in every aspect. She was wonderful with the flower girl and ring bearer as there were a bit shy...
in the beginning. She knew how to get there attention and how to put a smile on there face to capture the perfect picture! Mother nature dumped a foot of snow on us the day before my wedding and Kara did not hesitate to jump in the pile of snow to capture a picture at the right angle! She connected with my bridal party better than I could of ever dreamed of. She captured every special moment of my wedding day and then some! One of my bridesmaids is getting married next April and I believe she hired Kara to be here wedding photographer as well!
Kara is the definition of a professional, hardworking photographer who continually has the customers needs in mind!
I will be using her service in the future for family pictures and newborn pictures!
Thanks again Kara! YOU ROCK!!!!!
We had Kara do both our engagement and wedding photos, and very pleased with both! Kara is laid back and fun and friendly, but still very professional and efficient. We had quite a...
large, unruly group of guys in our wedding party, and she handled them like a champ! We got tons of compliments on what a great job she was doing throughout the day and how cool she was. A great feature she offers is you get all of your images on a disc so you can pick which ones you want to print, at your convenience. It was definitely difficult to choose as she captured so many great moments! She was also very open to any ideas or specific shots I wanted to recreate (I just wish I had been more prepared in remembering what those were on the big day!) All in all, I would definitely recommend Kara!
Since we haven't received our photos back yet (it's only been 3 weeks and she said 5), I can't truly review her work. I felt she was creative, but not silly. And she had a great ...
eye for awesome photo spots. Very easy to work with, fun and fair pricing. I'm so excited to see our photos!!

om and if that is the only bad thing I have to worry about then I am VERY happy!! I would HIGHLY suggest that if you live in the MN area you SHOULD use M.E. Photos as your wedding photographer. You will be extremely happy you did!
my now husband and i were living in florida when we first contacted kara about our upcoming wedding in minnesota. from the first moment on the phone, we just connected. it was rea...
lly easy to plan long distance with her (we moved to california in the middle of all this, too). she was so helpful in giving ideas for shots, and getting all the ones we did want. she was also really patient when we were running a bit behind on the day of, and was very creative when we couldn't take photos outside as planned because of the pouring rain. and, of course, the photos turned out great. you get all the shots included with her, too, which is a huge bonus. she doesn't do books or prints, but i preferred this because i like to make my own scrapbooks. even our guests noticed how great she was--we had several people come and ask us about her.
Kara did a wonderful job! We were very happy with everything and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a high quality photographer!
We used ME Photos for both engagement and wedding pics. We were satisfied with her enthusiasm, professionalism, and pricing for sure! I just wish there was more creativity and he...

h, professional, personable and very flexible. She came in with great photo ideas and did a great job of incorporating in my ideas as well. She did such a great job of capturing so many important memories at our wedding. I am so proud to show my family and friends our wedding album!

ows what she is doing and she can take charge. I could not wait to get a hold of my photos and when i saw them I was more than pleased. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. She is a professional and makes everyone feel comfortable. I would recommend her for sure!
We had Kara do our engagement photos and are really looking forward to having her at our wedding to document our big day. Neither of us are very photogenic and both feared that it ...
would be an awkward experience but we had a blast. I LOVE that she gives you all your photos on a disc, it gave us time to thoroughly go through them and pick our favorites on our own time. Everyone LOVES them, especially us. She is easy to communicate to and open to ideas/requests. SO excited to work with her again!
If there was a higher rating for her, she would get it. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer.
Pro-Super great personality/attitude when working with us. She made all...
our wedding party and family laugh. She was really flexible. Her communication was spot on. This was very important to me since I was planning from a distance. I love that we got 6-8 hrs of coverage and we’ll be getting all of our photos and the rights! Also, cheaper than also every other photographer I came across.
Cons-we have to wait for our pictures!! I can’t wait to see them.
Kara at M.E. Photos was the best. I found her through a friend, whom had her as the photographer at her wedding. Kara is super upbeat and specializes in natural light photography w...
hich was great for our outdoor engagement session and outdoor wedding. Just a fun lady to work with and has great photography skills.

She has done his two year picutures now and my neices and nephues pictures. She is loved by my entire family. Next she will be donig my sisters wedding. I cant wait to see them.
When looking for a wedding photographer, I quickly became discouraged that I all I would be able to find was someone that was trying to sell me photos and memory books that I didn'...
t want and would overcharge me for the full day of wedding photos. Not only was Kara more than reasonably priced, she was a great photographer.
Kara made me and my husband feel comfortable with her right away - like we had been friends for years. On the day of the wedding, she was flexible and made sure to remind me that whatever I wanted was okay. When it started to rain 15 minutes before our [outdoor] wedding, it was Kara that guarded me from our guests as we all took cover in the nearby shelter. Who knew I'd be getting a personal attendant & photographer in one!
Our wedding photos turned out great and captured our personalities perfectly. I believe that Kara does family portraits, too, and now that we're expecting our first child, I will definitely be giving Kara a call in the next few months!
In December 2008 Kara traveled with my family and I to Florida where my husband and I said our vows on the beach in Fort Myers. She did an absolutely amazing job. From the time our...
day began at the hotel with the bridesmaids and at the salon, she captured every moment. Kara was there when my husband and I saw each other for the first time before our ceremony and the pics are priceless. Everytime I look at the pictures I am taken back to that day because every emotion is there in print, Kara's style is one of a kind. Kara is very easy going and go with the flow, but she is also very professional and on top of things.. She knew how to keep things moving at good pace, we never felt rushed. I would recomend Kara in a heartbeat! Thanks again!
I absolutely loved my photographer Kara, She was terrific! We did our engagment photos in Stillwater, and they turned out so amazing. She definitely is easy to be around and makes ...
you feel very comfortable, which was so refreshing. I just got married a few weeks ago, and CANNOT wait to see our wedding photo's, we got a sneak peak, and they looked incredible. We are extremely happy with her work. Everyone in my family complimented her professionalism and how sweet she was, and my sister adored Kara and her work, and will be hiring her for their wedding next summer. Also, I had quite a few little children in my wedding party and she was so patient with them, it really meant a lot to me and my family to see that. All in all, From the beginning to the end, She was by far an extremely dedicated, professional, creative and AMAZINGLY talented artist. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their photographer! Thanks Kara :)
We had Kara do the photos at our wedding and they turned out great! She was there for whatever I wanted! From getting ready to the reception. All of our photos turned out fantastic...

ing day. We were very happy with how the photos turned out and we are actually planning on using her more in the future for family photos!
We had been looking for months for the right fit for us in a photographer. We had met with numerous people and have done alot of research, the other people we met with were very ov...
er priced and only seemed interested in money, not about us and our special day. We heard about Kara through a friend who used her and was very impressed by her work. We set up an appointment and clicked right away. There was no more looking we had found our photographer. We set up appointments for our engagement pics. We had to reschedule a couple times due to things coming up with our schedule. She was very understanding and worked around our schedule. We finally did our engagement pics she is very creative and fun and they turned out great. We then got to our big day, I was bummed because it was raining so we did not get the normal outside pics but because she is creative we got some pics that look like we are outside. Then the others in the hotel lobby. But again because of her creativity they turned out amazing. She captured every little detail from getting ready, to little moments when your not looking, to our flowers down the isle and even the food. There is nothing she missed and went above and beyond. I do and will still recommend her to anyone looking. She made our day amazing and easy and we have the proof to prove it for a life time. Kara is great = )
We had a tiny wedding, no wedding party, not a lot of frills etc, but Kara captured the essence of the day so well with her photos. I look at them (almost every day) and can't wait...
to be able to show them to my grandkids-- it seems I won't have to tell them a thing, they'll know how wonderful that day was just by seeing the photos. Kara has serious talent, and had an extremely good price to boot!
We had a wonderful experience with Kara! She was amazing to work with and everyone just loved her. Her photos are amazing!! She is very talented! I am so glad we went with her!
We were extremely excited to use Kara as our photographer. Within a week after meeting with her in person, we had set up an appointment for engagement pictures. She said we were th...
e only one who had any interest in our date so we didn't need to send our contract and down payment in; we could just give it to her on the day of our engagements. This all seemed fine since everything had happened within a week.
Then we got the email. We had our appointment for the early afternoon the next day and Kara emailed us at 11 PM the night before that someone had actually sent their contract and down payment in for our day and she was using theirs instead. We were crushed, especially since we were living out of the area, so we wanted to get everything done before we had to head back to school.
It was a terribly unprofessional way of handling everything, and we were very disappointed with the way she handled business. I'm sure if we had gone with her it would have been okay, maybe, but fortunately we were able to find another photographer that would never have done this to us.
Sorry, but this is a wild card business. Good luck.
