Mediterranean Deli

Med Deli was a better caterer for our wedding than we could have dreamed of. My wife and I always loved going to Med Deli for lunch and dinner, so when we saw they were a recommended caterer at our venue, we sprung at the chance. Liz at Med Deli set up an absolutely bonkers tasting so we could figure out what we wanted to serve our guests -- they brought out so many delicious items, we should have brought along 4 or 5 more friends to eat it all! She also promptly answered all of our questions and made adjustments to our menu as we flip-flopped between items. When Med Deli's Chapel Hill location burned down, we were devastated, but before the stress of having to took for a new caterer crept in, they already contacted our coordinator and assured us they could still handle our wedding. And handle it they did -- all of our guests raved to us about how our wedding had the best food of any wedding they had ever been to! Not to mention, after the event we had so much leftover food remaining my wife and I still had 4 days worth of lunches AFTER giving food away to anyone who'd take it off our hands. On top of this, our banquet captain Ruby and her crew were extremely professional and capable; allergen info was easily available (we had guests with very severe allergies); set-up and teardown went flawlessly. Overall, especially while their restaurant is rebuilding and they are focusing on catering, any couple in the Triangle looking for a caterer should sprint to book Med Deli for their wedding!

We couldn't be happier with how the food turned out on our wedding day from Med Deli. Multiple guests complimented the food, we loved it, and the service was excellent. Our only complaints would be with the communication during the planning process. They would be a little slow to respond at times, which wasn't a big issue, but two things worried us as we prepared for the wedding. First, Med Deli would only price out the entire menu for us without being transparent what certain items cost or what would be good to replace them for an equal or less budget, etc. Second, they called the day before the wedding to "confirm" a lot of information and had some wrong including the time being off by 3 hours. This was not ultimately a problem since they did call and got the facts right, but it had us very worried that they weren't fully prepared the day before the wedding. Despite these small worries, the end result was perfect - amazing food, great service, and a decent value on our wedding day.
