I actually reached out to Meg to start asking questions about her covering our wedding, before I even popped the question to my now-husband. (Yep, we're not your traditional duo). I was so relieved to confirm that she could cover our wedding in Chicago - where we live - and stopped my photographer search the minute she confirmed our date was free on her calendar!
From the very first message, Meg was always prompt to reply to my endless questions, put me at ease about my worries, and was truly excited to help me with considerations for shoot locations and opportunities for our day. She was also very reassuring about being able to capture us both authentically and flatteringly, which was a big worry/fear of mine being a plus-size bride!
I think Meg was even more excited than us (at first) that we were planning a brewery inspired wedding, too. I loved sharing all of our details and ideas with someone who was so vividly imagining the greatness of our day - it gave us confidence and ease in our many planning stages. And when the day came, we had total unwavering faith in her ability to make magic with us and for us!
Looking back, whoa! Meg knocked it out of the park! She was perfect for us; she beautifully captured the little in-between moments and the big wedding day moments, and everything was relaxed and easy! Our pictures were authentic, romantic, perfectly-us, and loved by all!!

We were running pretty behind in the beginning of the day, but she wasn't worried or stressed at all which means I wasn't stressed. She's also honest which is an important quality to have as a photographer. Nobody is perfect and if something weird is going on with a piece of hair or something she will get the problem solved! On our wedding day, Meg and her assistants made my husband and I feel very comfortable. She made me feel confident and relaxed on more than one occasion. She knows the shots she needs to get and was able to get more than enough images when we only had a short window of time to get them done. The groomsmen loved her male assistant, Hugh, and had a great time with him. He was with me right before walking down the isle and AGAIN, made me feel so comfortable! Aside from the great photos we have, this is the biggest reason we are happy we had Meg as our photographer!
We are overly grateful for the photographs she captured!!! In fact, it was difficult to choose the images we wanted printed for our home because we had many options. The details in our photos were perfect (dress, veil, flowers, etc) and we love her trendy, modern, and vibrant style in the photos. She did not miss a moment, either. Another touch I loved, after the wedding she sends you a beautiful package with a very nice flash drive full of your images. I used this flash drive for our honeymoon photos, too. So now they are all in one place.
Simply put, Meg is super talented and cares a lot about her clients. She does a phenomenal job and you will walk away with all of your memories captured and trendy photos to show off!

t actually photograph to make sure the shot looks right and everything for the bride and groom is adjusted; my dress had settled in unflattering lines during photos, my husband's tie was crooked, and the assistant did absolutely nothing. She was well over two weeks late beyond the long deadline in returning our photos and then rushed to get them finished, all the while spelling our last name wrong on every single file and missing simple things that should have been photoshopped without my review. I sent them back to be edited, however, that was also a struggle.
Most of the issues that came up probably would have been things we were willing to deal with if the pricing were lower. Photography was one of the more important aspects to us on our wedding day; we trusted that if we invested so much we would be getting high quality in return and that just wasn't the case. Looking back on our wedding photos now brings back feelings of frustration and regret. I originally wasn't going to leave a review; I thought it was me being too picky about expectations. Over a year later, I've personally heard of two more brides that have had negative experiences with Meg and felt it was important to share. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

She's super fun to work with, which was very important to us since we had a big and boisterous wedding party. We felt like we clicked from our very first meeting with her - also important when you're spending 8+ hours with someone on the most important day of your life. Meg, Brit (2nd shooter) and her assistant (I can't remember her name, but she was sweet as can be) rocked the pictures, dealt with our cast of characters and left us with perfect pictures.

Our wedding was in northern MI but we knew we wanted to pick a photographer from the Metro Detroit area where we lived, since we wanted the same photographer to do the engagement pictures and wedding pictures. We were not disappointed at all! We are absolutely thrilled with the moments that were captured and are so happy to have these images to show how perfect our wedding day was :) I highly recommend Meg to shoot your wedding! She responds to emails ASAP. She's been to so many weddings and has seen so many things that she can help you with planning aspects too if you were to have questions.
She's also AWESOME at graphic design. She did our Save the Dates, invitations (all the stuff that went with those too), our wedding programs and paper pieces that went along with our favors.
She has many different package options to choose from and you get a lot of bang for your buck.
