I don't know how I can possibly put into words how much we love Meg. My husband works in film and is veryyy picky about photographers. Once we decided to get married in Rhode Island, it was difficult to find a photographer who met his very high expectations. But once I found Meg through photos she had done at our venue, we both FELL IN LOVE with her style. And then we fell in love with her as a person. She was so even-keeled, patient, chill, and positive right from the very start, which put as at ease and made us immediately comfortable with her, right from the first call. My husband really wanted some film photography, in addition to digital, and they got to nerd out together on how much they love film, and she fully rose to the challenge! She drove to our apartment in Brooklyn in pouring rain for over four hours for a short engagement shoot and took the most beautiful pictures of us in our apartment with our pup and captured us at our most comfortable, which made us even more excited for the weekend. When we struggled to find a videographer that we liked, she stepped up, playing double duty and finding a fantastic second shooter and capturing all the important moments and speeches that we wanted through the eyes of someone we trusted implicitly. On the day of, she was efficient, direct, patient with our larger, unwieldy (read: unherdable cats) wedding party and got all the shots we wanted with absolute breathtaking beauty. She has such an incredible eye and unique style and I am SO excited to see the full batch of photos! I can't wait to document all our life events with Meg (if she'll have us). She was not just our photographer: she was our partner, our support system, our friend (I hope! She's so cool I wanna be friends with her forever), and we couldn't have done any of this without her. She is not just the pinnacle of amazing service and beautiful photographer: she is the true meaning of the best in the business and an absolute miracle worker. We are endlessly grateful.

I can't say enough about how great Meg was. When our wedding was postponed some time ago, she stuck with us and did an amazing job when the wedding day finally rolled around. From setting up an impromptu engagement shoot while in RI to recommending some minor changes to best capture the outdoor lighting during our ceremony and most importantly doing an incredible job helping us navigate the chaos that is a wedding day, Meg is the best. She helped us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the day while still making sure we were doing everything we needed to get done. I would recommend Meg to anyone!

Meg was wonderful to work with. She is an incredibly talented photographer and an incredibly warm and fun personality. Her ability to mix candid and formal shots is perfection and she fit into our wedding reception perfectly. Several of our guests went out of their way to comment on how amazing she was. We cannot say enough positive things about Meg. She is not only an amazing photographer, but a wonderful person. It's so important to connect with your photographer and she let us know that from the start. With that said, our relationship with her grew organically, and we never ever felt awkward or uncomfortable when we were with her or in front of the camera. From our engagement photos, to our planning meetings, to our wedding day, Meg captured every special moment. Going back through our photos made us feel like we were there again, experiencing the same emotions we did on our special day. I would 100% recommend Meg Heriot to anyone who is looking for a fun, professional, responsive, creative, hilarious, and detail-oriented photographer.

Meg has a great eye for special details and capturing the greatest moments of your life in ways that you just wouldn't expect. She is timely and follows up on details to make sure that the schedule is set and everyone is comfortable with the plan ahead. I would use her services again!

Working with Meg Heriot was a pleasure in and of itself. The experience was one of the best I have ever had. She had a way of taking something ordinary, and with her trained eye, turning it into something absolutely breathtaking. Her personality is lovely, and she had me laughing, and feeling at ease. On the best day of my life, and one of the hardest, she did her best to make sure that everything was going without a bump. During our wedding day, she was there helping us get through(prepared with umbrellas, props, and creativity), while also capturing every special moment. Meg has the gift of being able to see that picture perfect moment is developing, and is able to put it in a photo to treasure forever. When our wedding party came up with some really crazy photo ideas, she was not afraid. Open to many different ideas and suggestions, plus the multitude of her own, made for amazing moments caught on film. I have already referred Meg to a few upcoming brides that I know, and I can tell you- She is one of the best! Believe it or not, the investment in a good photographer is one of the most crucial parts of your wedding. You will regret not using someone who has many years of experience, and natural talent.

Meg Heriot is by far, the best wedding photographer around. I was completely blown away by her pictures. She has a wonderful balance of being completely professional and laid back, while delivering top notch service. She drove down from Massachusetts to shoot my wedding on October 8, 2011 in Hackettstown, NJ. She made me feel completely relaxed and made my day more special than I could have ever dreamed. We planned a bride only shoot before the ceremony, then my bridesmaids joined in. It really gave me peace of mind and allowed me to take a deep breath before walking down the aisle to meet my future husband! She will do anything you ask - and takes what you want and makes it into a greater vision. She has a very artistic eye and can make any shot look amazing. She will stage situations to get the shots you want, but will never force a shot or fake a situation that would make you feel uncomfortable. She helps to create the memories, not mimic them! She's funny, kind and incredibly talented. You will not be disappointed! Hiring her was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding.
