er for such an important, personal, intimate part of the wedding day. Megan beautifully summarized our story as a couple and transformed it into the perfect ceremony. Leading up to the ceremony she asked thoughtful questions that allowed her to capture and understand us as a couple and portray our feelings for each other eloquently for the ceremony. She was able to incorporate meaningful aspects from both our backgrounds. Our ceremony was the perfect summary of our love to mark the beginning of our married life. Our friends and family had so many wonderful things to say about our ceremony and requested Megan's information for their own wedding!

make it exactly what we wanted, was super communicative and had all sorts of helpful suggestions for things we would never have thought of. One thing she suggested was a unity ritual, and we ended up planting a willow tree. With her guidance, it was so meaningful and became such a nice part of our ceremony. We HIGHLY recommend her!

t about half of the ceremony in Spanish which was perfect because we had some family members that didn't speak English and they were touched that they were able to understand what was being said.
Megan also researched my husband's and my culture and found a couple of rituals that we performed during the ceremony. I have personally never seen that at any wedding, so I was so happy with how it turned out.
Megan is a very calm person so with the stress of the wedding, it was nice talking to her because she would make us feel at ease.
Thank you, Megan, for making our special day unforgettable!

ey of marriage in a way that few others could. We chose the option to have a fully customized wedding ceremony, which began with a questionnaire that clued Megan into some of the more minor but essential parts of our lives and also the most intimate. It was plainly visible that Megan cared deeply for us and wanted us to be true to ourselves, her, and ultimately our friends and family that would witness our big day. She inspired us to reflect on our relationship in a way that would strengthen our resolve and commitment to each other. Her professionalism, wealth of experience, and personal touches brought our ceremony to life. If you’re considering hiring Megan to celebrate a momentous occasion in your life, please do not hesitate. She will enrich your experience in the best possible way.

ter the ceremony. We booked her for the most customized level of service, and she crafted a ceremony that was very personalized to us based on a questionnaire we filled out. Megan was extremely responsive and supportive throughout the whole process. We heard from several guests after the fact that our ceremony was so 'us'!

ss. We were completely blown away with the ceremony that Megan put together for us; it was truly perfect. She was great about corresponding with us and providing options until we found the right fit for each section. It was truly magical!
Megan was incredible throughout the wedding planning process and her ceremony blew us away. Megan was exceptionally flexible and kind when we had to change our plans during COVID. ...
She’s so easy to work with, especially if you are not exactly sure what kind of ceremony will work best for you as a couple and reflect your life together. We are not a particularly sentimental couple and we had a few complications, like not wanting a religious ceremony, but wanting to honor some aspects of our family’s religion. Megan rolls with every idea you have and brings them to life. She takes your story and your personality and captures it beautifully. Our guests were truly blown away and I received so many comments about how beautiful our ceremony was. If it’s any indication, I’ve already referred three couples to Megan, because they were so impressed. It bears noting that on top of all this, Megan is just a joy to work with and to be around. She has a great sense of humor and presence. We cannot recommend her enough.

hing was easy to understand. As a same sex couple finding someone to marry you could turn into a nightmare but with Megan we found someone who doesn’t judge and being a woman officiant made our wedding just that more special. We got so many praises after the wedding and even still on picking her and just being told what an amazing job she did. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for someone who wants to help you create your dream wedding!

ceremony--after she sent us her first draft we barely had any edits because it was already above and beyond what we were hoping for! The ceremony she created was beautiful, personal, and complete. able and Megan's wealth of experience made everything so easy. This included helping us develop our vows. On the day of the wedding, she arrived very early, which allowed us to make some last minute tweaks. She was both warm and professional. Everything went off perfectly. Both my wife and I, and our parents, adored Megan and really appreciate her words and her presence. I'm really grateful I got to meet Megan and that she was there for us on our wedding day. Absolutely fantastic.
Megan was just fantastic as an officiant. And it wasn't just us that thought so - everyone at our wedding kept saying how impressed they were with her! Her in depth questionnaire a...
nd the way she asks you each to fill them out separately allowed her to collect lots of information which she then wove into a beautiful narrative that became our ceremony. She took the guesswork out of what a ceremony is "supposed" to be, but helped us create a unique and individually tailored ceremony that many in the audience thought we had wrote ourselves, because it indeed used many of our own words. But we could never have woven it together so cohesively ourselves. She was super warm friendly and receptive to all our suggestions and edits and clearly wanted it to be a ceremony that we loved. And, we did the whole process with us in South Carolina for a wedding in Ithaca, NY! You may not know you need a Megan Barber but you will thank yourself afterwards for how much easier and more enjoyable you just made your wedding planning process.
Megan created a beautiful ceremony and she allowed us to be part of the editing process during its creation. She took the time via phone calls and questionnaires to get to know us ...
as a couple even though we could not meet in person ahead of time. She was even able to craft a bilingual ceremony as my husband's family speaks Spanish. She really did an excellent job at portraying our love story to our friends and family. She also added special moments into the ceremony to make it very personal to us as a couple. We had so many people come up to us after the ceremony and comment on what a beautiful job Megan did. She genuinely cared and made our ceremony something we will never forget. We highly recommend Megan Barber as a wedding officiant!

, NY wedding from from Washington, DC where we live. Despite the distance, Megan got to know us through phone calls, Skype, and a couple questionnaires. She used those interactions to create a custom ceremony script for us. She gave us opportunities to provide input on drafts. She worked with our other vendors on timing, audio, and logistics. And come the day of the wedding, her facilitation of the ceremony was truly expert, her delivery was flawless, her presence was calming, and she had our guests (and us!) both laughing and crying. Of all the compliments we’ve received about our wedding, the most have been about Megan’s ceremony. Guests complimented how personal it was, and that they felt like they got to know our story as a couple better. We couldn’t agree more. Not only was Megan an absolute stress-free pleasure to work with, but she was incredibly professional and demonstrated so much care and integrity throughout the process. We are SO appreciative of the time and thought she put into our wedding and we LOVED our ceremony. I cannot recommend her enough, and will absolutely reach out to her again for the life celebrations and milestones that are to come!
