Meghan Melia: Photographer

I don't even know where to begin! My wife and I got married last weekend and had a destination wedding in Savannah. Meghan was referred to us after we had to cancel our original date due to COVID and our photographer was unable to shoot our new date. I told my wife it was fate because Meghan was everything I would ever want in a photographer! She is the most genuine and kind soul I have ever met. Throughout the whole process she was so reassuring, sweet and just the energy and vibe we wanted for our day. She delegated photos perfectly without chaos and in a very calm manner which is what I loved. After the ceremony we did just couple shots and she just made us both feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Not a single shot felt forced or posed because of the way she just made you feel totally at ease. We have already gotten some sneak peek photos and they are stunning! She is truly a talented photographer and I would not have wanted anyone else to shoot our wedding! Thank you so much Meghan from the bottom of our hearts for everything!!!

AMAZING!!!! Meghan and her team were absolutely incredible. It felt like an old friend was joining us on our day. Her immense natural talent combined with her ability to provide flexible directions culminated in epic photos of the day. They truly capture our feelings so that we can relive it over and over. We could not recommend her more highly!

Meghan is the best in the game. She’s so sweet and funny and knows how to make you feel comfortable. My brand new husband is usually very shy in front of the camera, but he looks like a perfect natural in the sneak peeks meghan sent us. It was very important to us for our wedding photographer to be invested in moments and not so much posed stand in a line and say cheese pictures. And that’s where Meghan really shines. Our sneak peek had us crying like babies. She was a great presence to have around, and she was literally *everywhere* all day. She took a picture from behind my maid of honor at the altar and the MOH, me, none of us even noticed she was there. What she does is real magic and I’m so so grateful a photographer friend recommended her to us (shoutout Dan Cox, ALSO the best). Couldn’t have asked for better, can’t say enough good things about her. Give her keys to the city, name a building after her!!!!

Meghan did an amazing job capturing each moment of our day and the emotions behind them! She was so easy to work with through the whole process and was easily once of the best vendors we used for our wedding day!

I do not even know where to begin to describe how incredible Meghan is. From our first FaceTime meeting with her, we knew she was the perfect person to capture our day. My husband HATES getting his picture taken and after our engagement session, he told me how much fun he had, which only solidified our decision more. Meghan was excellent with helping me plan through every step of the way - from the engagement session to the day of timeline and helping me decide the best places for bridal party pictures. Beyond all that, the absolute best thing I can say about Meghan is that she felt like another friend getting ready with me and celebrating with us throughout the day. She never imposed and captured the real moments. I am forever grateful to Meghan for all she did for us!

Meghan is the absolute best! She knows how to make you feel comfortable and open up during the shoot and her pictures are always GORGEOUS. I highly, highly recommend her!

Meghan is a force of beautiful energy and talent. The way she helped manage our day and make us comfortable was something no other person could have accomplished. She is so amazing at her craft and we COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with our beautiful photos. I am so lucky to have had her as our photographer. SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Would not have trusted our special day with anyone else.

I truly don't even know where to begin. First of all, it was an absolute no-brainer that Meghan would photograph our Wedding. As a photographer myself, many people asked & commented, "well, who's going to photograph your Wedding?! I can't wait to see the photos!" I always got so excited to tell people who it was and why. Meghan has always been a photographer I looked up to, and when I came into this industry a few years ago, she taught me things I was clueless about, gave me tips and tricks, and so on. The best part was working beside her. This is when I realized that when that day came for me, she's the one. So when Steve and I got engaged, picking out the venue, wedding party, date, etc., those things were not my first priority - it was Meghan. I literally would have picked a date based on her availability. The thought of even considering another photographer didn't even cross my mind. At one point Meghan said, "I'm so honored that you're choosing me to photograph your Wedding" ... and I thought, "is she kidding me? I am so honored that SHE will be photographing mine." It was so important to me that she was apart of our day. So we got our feet wet together (literally) and did our engagement session where Steve and I live in St Joe. We absolutely loved our photos, especially the thrilling photos that came of it, despite the dangerous Lake Michigan waves that evening. Then came our Wedding in February. Obviously getting married to Steve was the highlight of the day, but a very close 2nd was having Meghan and Corbin there, knowing they would tell a story for us to cherish for the rest of our lives. Taking photos with these two was effortless and fun. All the photos in-between portraits are what really tells our story... the kids dancing, the groomsmen goofing off, the bridesmaids giggling, and so much more. We absolutely LOVE our photos, the story it tells and the memories we have forever. Meghan is a ONE OF A KIND photographer; sweet, smart, passionate and so incredibly creative. We love her.

Meghan takes seriously beautiful images that capture the magic and feeling of the moment. Her images speak for themselves. What is a little harder to get a sense for through her portfolio is just how personable, professional, and delightful she is. As someone who has never been a huge fan of getting my picture taken, Meghan put my husband and I completely at ease. She did not micromanage movements with put your hand here or look over there, but rather orchestrated moments. One of the most special memories of my wedding day was when Meghan asked my bridesmaids to step out of my bridal tent leaving my mom and I alone for a few moments, at which point Meghan pointed out this might be our last just the two of us times before I got married. The photos of that are beautiful, but Meghan gave my mom and I a moment to pause and soak it up. The day was full of these little moments like these between my husband and I, of course, but also our family and friends, all made possible by Meghan. From having my husband and I kiss in the middle of a river to snapping my terrified parents being hoisted in the horrah, Meghan captured it all. We loved working with her and will cherish the images she created for the rest of our lives. I cannot recommend Meghan highly enough!

Andrew and I absolutely LOVED working with Meghan for our wedding day! Meghan has an innate talent for capturing weddings and the unique love that each couple has for each other. She is able to capture the real emotions, the raw love, and the in-the-moment happiness that allows you to look back and remember exactly what you felt like on your wedding day. Meghan’s ability to capture light, her creativity, and her openness to our ideas resulted in Andrew and I getting each and every single shot we could have hoped for. You can clearly see how much Meghan loves what she does, and with very limited input from us, she was able to perfectly capture the style and ambiance of the pictures we were looking for. She is incredibly personable, professional, and artistic. I have no doubt that Meghan will go above and beyond for your wedding day just like she did for ours; our experience with Meghan was exceptional and we would recommend her to anyone looking to have a professional, creative, easy-to-work with, talented photographer to capture their beautiful unique love on film!

Meghan deserves every hyperbole in the book. She sent us helpful advice throughout the planning process and always responded to my frantic texts. Meghan captured photo magic on our wedding day, while also wrangling guests and helping make the rain call. Hiring Meghan was the best investment we made in our wedding and we'll cherish her photos forever.

Meghan shot our engagement session and our wedding. Not only are the photos absolutely breathtaking, her and Wendy were so amazing to work with. Even through the days leading up to the wedding I felt confident she would capture every special moment throughout the day. Meghan and her team are definitely the one's to have when capturing those special moments in your life.

Meghan traveled from Michigan down to Columbia, South Carolina for our engagement shoot and we had a blast! Even though it rained, she stuck it out with us and found nice locations where we could stay dry but still get beautiful photos. Coming in from out of town, I could definitely tell that she did her research and she was very dedicated to the quality of the photos she was taking. Meghan has a creative eye and she is very talented. I am so glad that we selected Meghan to take our photos. We are looking forward to her shooting our wedding this September and could not be happier with her service! p.s. She also has prompt delivery of the photos as well!

My fiancé and I booked Meghan for our engagement and wedding photos. After our engagement photos yesterday, I cannot say enough great things about her. From the beginning of our communications in July to now, she has always answered quickly and clearly every email and text I have sent her. She is very professional and very kind! Our photo session felt very natural, and we had a blast shooting with her. I would highly recommend her for her personality and skill to anyone. Can't wait to work with her again at our wedding!
