The photographer isn’t just about what happens the day of, it’s all that comes before it to get to that day. You have to build a plan, stay in communication, and have trust in your photographer. From first zoom call, she helped us clarify details and flow/pacing of our wedding, which in turn helped to clarify a vision for the photos. I, probably like many of you, never planned a wedding before, but Melanie helped assuage fears saying she would be the common thread throughout our day. I got married in Westport, she was willing and able to come meet me at the venue to go through the day to identify shot locations and review suggested shot lists and timing. We worked together until I felt completely comfortable with the pacing of the day. Day of — she and Sam (assistant) showed up early and immediately got to work, never intrusive, always polite, but also in control when it came to timing. All the guests commented on how polite she was, had positive feedback, and some asked for referrals which I gladly provided. Post wedding - as many of you stated, she had a Sneak Peek gallery waiting for us the next day, which was already fairly complete. True to her word, the remaining gallery came in 6-8 weeks later, with quick edits/retouches on our request as needed. Overall amazing experience. Thanks Melanie for capturing our perfect day!

Melanie is the best photographer I have ever worked with. I booked Melanie 11 months before my wedding, and her communication, planning, and timeliness is the best of any vendor I have ever worked with. We met multiple times 6 months leading up to the wedding, during which she created a robust schedule for the day of the wedding, making sure to coordinate with my other vendors as well. Melanie and her other shooters were the epitome of professionalism, while presenting an aura of calm and joy that everyone in our wedding party and families commented on. Without Melanie, I am positive our pre-ceremony getting ready and photos would not have been as easy-going, fun, and flawless, and I am sure our other vendors agree. Melanie was able to work with any parameters or requests from our bridal party and guests – She captured so many different photo combinations of bridal party and family members (35+ people) and bride and groom photos, and her impeccable time and team management allowed me to have an extra 45 mins to spare to relax before the wedding ceremony began.
