Melanie shot a boudoir session for my fiancé and I... that's right a boudoir session! Eek! I'm not one to bare my all but Melanie's demeanor was so sweet and comforting that we were able to get comfortable in front of the camera. Not only did she give us great direction, she styled the shoot so beautifully. She's an artist when it comes to her film photography and I was hoping that we would have a few pics that we liked but we truly loved all of them once we got to see the images. I was so surprised! They were absolutely stunning and I know that we will look back at them so fondly and be glad that we have them as we grow old together. Photography was a big priority for our wedding. I loved Melanie's work and when I met her I was confident that she would be great for us. She is unassuming and very sweet but it's very clear she also knows her stuff. We shot our engagement photos less than 6 weeks before the wedding. While she directed us slightly-it didn't feel "forced" and was actually a blast for us. I was a little nervous that she shoots largely on film. This means it takes longer to develop and little preview. However, when we got the photos back, my biggest problem was picking a favorite! They were so beautiful and I loved so many of them. Also, Melanie had them sent to us digitally in time for us to use some of them at our wedding. We just got married 9 days ago so haven't received our wedding photos yet- but I can't wait to see them!

My wife and I hired Melanie for our engagement and wedding pictures and we could not have been happier with that decision. On the day of the wedding it was as if she was everywhere at once, capturing all of the best shots, while not missing any of our special moments. She was extremely friendly, while still keeping my groomsmen in line, and the rest of the bridal party on schedule. We loved working with her and would do it all over again if we could!

She knew what I wanted without me having to explain it, she knew how to truly capture the essence of her subjects devotion to one another. From start to finish Melanie went above and beyond what my fiancé and I could've hoped for or imaged. The pictures were not only breathtaking, but she was an absolute doll to work with. She was extremely professional, while at the same time making me feel comfortable, as if we had known each other for years. Melanie was a wealth of knowledge, always willing to help, and answer questions. She is truly passionate about her work and it comes across in her photos. From the beginning, she was super up-front and honest and truly worth every penny. If I could go back in time I can honestly say that apart from saying yes to my fiancé when he proposed, hiring Melanie as our photographer was the best decision we made.
