moments small and large and that were far too frequent to count. From her very first response to the series of video check-ins ahead of our wedding, she emanated curiosity, professionalism and deep preparedness. She provided structure, encouragement and patience at every step of the process and, most importantly, on our wedding day. Throughout, she helped us balance timely decision making while navigating the inevitable differences in individual visions and interpersonal dynamics between two merging families – always with grace. If you’re on the fence about hiring her, you’re insane. What are you waiting for?! Choosing Melanie was the easiest decision we made – other than choosing each other. We would pick her first and EVERY SINGLE time if given the opportunity to do it all over again. Oh, we haven’t mentioned the photos yet? They are stunning. She studied our venue, mapped where the light will hit best at the time of day and seemingly is in every imaginable place. The sign of a gifted photographer is her ability to be visible at the important moments then camouflage during the major moments while charming everyone she interacts with. Melanie did so seamlessly and effortlessly. Daniel & Tara

d our wedding at Fruitlands Museum in Massachusetts. We picked Melanie because we were looking for someone who would be a calming presence at our wedding and capture the day in a photojournalistic style. We were so happy with the photos and will treasure them in our family albums forever. Beyond the photos, Melanie put in a lot of work to make sure the day ran smoothly. She scouted Fruitlands Museum in advance and worked with us on a timeline for the day. We were a bit late arriving on the actual day, but Melanie took it in stride and got us right back on track without stressing us out. Thanks for everything Melanie, you’re the best!!

c and adventurous, but don't love sitting still in front of a camera with the attention all on us. Melanie picked up on our vibe immediately and started playing small games with us to make us feel more relaxed and natural with our engagement shoot. By the end of the shoot, it felt more like hanging out with each other than a static photoshoot. Come wedding day, Melanie (now joined by her brother Tom) were PERFECT. Her organization and attention to detail shone through every step of the day, capturing all of our important moments, making sure we got the best golden hour angles (she scouted out the venue beforehand), keeping us organized and on schedule, and most importantly, she kept us calm and relaxed with her cool demeanor. We loved the fact that her secondary shooter was her brother Tom, who was just as organized, detail oriented, but effortlessly cool. The two worked in sync and their organization kept us feeling like everything was under control throughout the day. Our guests also LOVED Melanie. She went out of her way to make guests feel special whether it be through individual mini-photoshoots, finding the special moments on the dance floor, or making sure everyone was seen in a group shot. All without sacrificing making sure we were getting some action shots as the couple on the dance floor. We said several times throughout our wedding planning process that hiring Melanie and Tom was the best decision we made and couldn't recommend her enough.

re the rest of the day’s festivities. From the first moment we connected with Melanie, she was professional, thoughtful, and so much fun. She helped us think through every detail of the day and she was game for all the adventurous or unusual ideas we threw her way. She helped us bring to life a wedding day that was unique to us and felt exactly as special as we could have hoped for. Throughout the day, she somehow managed to always be in exactly the right place to capture invaluable moments between us and our families. Because we decided to have an intimate wedding, we were prioritizing quality time with each other and our immediate families over everything else, and Melanie’s photos reflect that. The photos she created are bursting with genuine emotion and joy. They capture exactly how we felt on our wedding day and so many beautiful details. On top of all that, Melanie is a wedding expert and helped our day run smoothly in a million little ways beyond taking photos! She quietly coordinated the timing of all the moving parts, helped me tape my dress with fashion tape (😂), and made some key suggestions based on her wealth of experience shooting hundreds of weddings. Clearly, I can’t recommend Melanie highly enough!

t also a genuinely wonderful person. We quickly became friends, and we are truly grateful for the connection we formed alongside the stunning photos she captured. Melanie’s friendly demeanor and great energy made a significant impact on our wedding day. Her outstanding communication skills kept everything running smoothly, and she managed the photography aspect of our wedding with exceptional professionalism. We knew the photos were going to be incredible even before we saw them. Her organizational skills, attention to detail, and caring nature were evident throughout the entire process. Melanie brought a level of calm confidence and positivity that made our day feel incredibly fun and stress-free. The result was not just beautiful photos that we will cherish forever, but a joyful experience that we’ll always look back on with gratitude. If you’re searching for a photographer who is not only talented but also a true delight to work with, we wholeheartedly recommend Melanie. She is the perfect blend of competence and warmth, and we couldn’t be happier with the memories she captured for us.

w she was the one for us. Her style, approach, and vision were all incredibly impressive, but it was her heart and soul that won us over. She was simply our kind of person. Throughout the planning phase, Melanie was exceptional. She kept communication open, answered all our questions, and kept us well-informed about what to expect next. Her professionalism and kindness made the process smooth and enjoyable. On the big day itself, Melanie was an absolute blessing to have by our side. Her calming and loving energy was a source of comfort and joy. Our guests were just as taken with her as we were (though one guest might have fallen a little more than the others—hahaha!). The reality of the day far surpassed our expectations, thanks to Melanie’s incredible vision and talent. She has truly become part of our family, and we’re eagerly looking forward to any future opportunities to work with her again. If you’re looking for someone who will bring not only professionalism but also genuine warmth and care to your special occasion, Melanie is the one!

ment shoot, multiple check-ins through our engagement, and finally to the wedding day. She let us in on tips and advice throughout the entire planning process that helped shape our wedding into the amazing day it became. The last thing anyone wants is stress or worry on their wedding day. Melanie's calm demeanor, preparedness, and fun approach truly alleviate that last-minute stress. We got so many compliments from family and friends on Melanie and her brother's awesome personalities and professionalism. After our first look and family pictures, she completely blended into the background (in the best way!) She allowed us to stay present and enjoy every moment without feeling like there was a camera in our faces, yet she captured every moment we didn't even know she was there for! When our pictures came in, we were absolutely blown away. She gave us all the emotions, special moments, and dance moves in a way that brings us right back to our wedding day. Her style delivers authentic, real photos in a way you won't find from just anyone! We are beyond thankful for Melanie. She's simply the best and it would be a mistake to miss out on hiring her for your own wedding!!

aring nature and immediately began helping us map out our day with such excitement. We had countless zoom meetings to prepare where Melanie calmed our nerves and made us laugh. Next came our engagement shoot which was such a special time. She truly became our friend. On our special weekend Melanie and her team were there every step of the way. She was not only our photographer but also took on roles of mapping out all the good photo spots, planning, directing and ensuring everyone knew remained calm. When capturing moments she has the cutest little one liners/questions to ensure she gets natural poses. Her guidance is 10/10. The pictures we received were absolutely INCREDIBLE! She photographed every special moment and her editing skills are top notch. She is incredibly professional and artistic in how she captures moments. We cannot recommend her enough. We love you Mel!!! <3

n, engaging and a great friend. All of our wedding party loved spending the day with her! Look no further and hire Melanie for your event!!

to both her planning meetings and her shoots. This balance put us and our guests at ease, which is so important when taking photos. It also allowed us to make the most of every minute of our big day. Thanks to Melanie’s organization, we didn’t miss anything or waste any time. Our guests loved her. Many went out of their way to comment on her kindness and good energy. Everyone was very comfortable taking pictures with her behind the camera. And then there’s the photos... they are simply awesome! Melanie and her second shooter, Tom, creatively made the most of the setting of our wedding in their work. When we had our first look on docks near a lighthouse, Melanie and Tom positioned themselves to get many unique angles and beautiful perspectives. They knew the venue very well – directing group portraits both on the docks and in front of unique homes across the street. We also think they managed to capture all 120 of our guests within the album! Melanie not only photographed of our wedding day beautifully; her organization helped make the day itself a wonderful experience for all of our guests. We hope to see Melanie and Tom again at a future event!

- even in the pouring rain!!! Nothing stopped this superwoman from delivering the best wedding photos ever. She got to know us as a couple, and captured our uniqueness perfectly. One of the absolute best decisions we made was having her as our photographer. LOVE YA MEL. Her brother Tom was the ultimate hit with our groomsmen and brought the energy (& fab photos) throughout the entire night.

ime with her during out wedding and engagement shoot. Our photos are totally breathtaking - I knew our wedding day was beautiful but I didn't totally understand it until I saw how she captured it. I look at them and I feel like we're in a magazine spread. We're so excited to see more as she finishes them. She's also just a really cool person with a gift for making people feel comfortable! The idea of the engagement shoot is a little intimidating (so we're supposed to like... make out in front of this person with a camera?) but she made it so relaxing and fun - all three of us were laughing the whole time and the photos came out beautifully. She and her team (including her wonderful brother Tom!) added so much to the good energy the morning of the wedding. She even helped provide moral support when we realized our dog had chewed up my wedding shoes. Know that if you work with Melanie you are choosing not only a super talented photographer but also a person who can help maintain a fun and relaxed vibe after the bride discovers she suddenly has no shoes. (Note - nobody is mad at the dog, he is a very good boy) She was great at corralling all the family members and wedding party - everyone was genuinely smiling and having fun even though not all family members enjoy being photographed. You'll be so lucky if you get her!

, communication, and desire to make sure the photo style was what we envisioned for our wedding day. Throughout engagement and wedding day photographs - Melanie made you feel at ease. There was absolutely no feeling of “camera shy” as she was cracking jokes and creating a natural comfortable environment. Melanie and Tom worked absolutely effortlessly with all of our vendors - especially our videographer whom they hadn’t previously worked with. It was clear their primary focus was to ensure our special day truly captured “us” as a couple. We were beyond blown away when we received the photos from Melanie. Words truly cannot express how she went above and beyond our wildest expectations - every special moment and detail was captured. Melanie has the biggest heart and it is so evident in her work and passion as a photographer. We love we her and could not recommend her enough!!!! Thank you, Melanie!

ent photos, to our big day, and beyond. Both my husband and I are camera shy and Melanie made us feel comfortable, confident, and the results were amazing! I truly feel like we can feel the day in the photos. They are so meaningful! I cannot speak of her highly enough and recommend that you use her for photographing your special day together!

re to get to know her clients through planning calls and the engagement photo shoot that by the time the wedding came, she felt more like a good friend and was such a calming presence during the entire day! Melanie traveled to us in Brooklyn for our engagement photoshoot which made it that much more special, getting to take photos around our own neighborhood. Her thoughtful planning calls made sure we went over every detail not only of what kind of portraits we wanted, but the full day timeline that helped ensure we’d be able to work all the photos in to the day without taking away from everything else we hoped to fit in. Day of Melanie was absolutely INCREDIBLE. She expertly handled all of our family members during portraits, calmed me (the bride) down when emotions started to hit, and helped rework timelines so nothing would be missed when other vendors caused things to go a bit off track. Melanie was also incredibly accommodating to our unique asks that included coverage for a two-ceremony day and additional events. It was so special to have her photograph the entire weekend. All of our family members had glowing reviews for how Melanie ran the portrait sessions and how she blended in seamlessly the rest of the day. And the photos! We are overjoyed with how Melanie captured our wedding events – she somehow captured genuine moments of emotion where everyone looks amazing! We are beyond thrilled with the gift of these captured memories Melanie has given us & would give her a 10 star review if possible!

ove and beyond at every turn! I was first introduced to Melanie through a friend’s wedding, and knew from that moment I wanted her to be our wedding photographer- and I was lucky enough for that to become a reality! Melanie, and her brother Tom, were brilliant on our wedding day- and ensured everything ran smoothly and on time, while making everyone feel comfortable and confident and most importantly having fun! Their passion and dedication are evident in everything they do, and shine through in their beautifully captured photographs! We will forever be grateful for Melanie Ruth Photography!

up for your big day. Every phone call was so helpful in creating a time line of our day and calming any nerves we may have had. She even sends some guides on things to do, not to forget, etc for the day of and prior to your wedding. She truly puts you at ease before & after your wedding. She makes taking photos fluid, natural, and fun- which truly shows through in her work. Her and Tommy are an amazing duo, who will make you and your wedding party laugh and enjoy taking photos-- seriously, we could not have gotten more compliments for how much fun everyone had. Working with Mel was the best decision we could have made for our wedding day and we could not be happier to have amazing photos to look at for years to come.

nd it's exactly what I was hoping for! It was also important that my husband and I felt comfortable with our photographer because we're not necessarily comfortable posing for photos. During our engagement shoot, Melanie helped us feel completely natural so we knew the wedding day would be a breeze. On the wedding day, Melanie shot with her brother, Tommy, as her assistant and he was amazing as well! Based on our engagement shoot and sneak peeks from the wedding, both Melanie and Tommy are absolute talents in their field. I can't wait to work with them for all our future family photo shoots!

st summer at one of my favorite venues and the day went so smoothly. She has a great way of connecting with her clients, making them feel comfortable and respecting their space & wishes on the wedding day - allowing them every chance to enjoy themselves to the fullest on their special day! I can't wait to work with her again and recommend her to future clients.

eline in advance. Her work is STUNNING. The photos turned out organic and gorgeous. My mom said it perfectly: “she captured the wedding exactly as I remember it in my mind” and seeing the photos later was like reliving the wedding. She is an artist and we feel extremely lucky that she chose to capture our day.

we could do it at one of our favorite places, even our dog loved her! The wedding was very behind schedule but Mel made sure we all stayed on track and still was able to capture such special moments. She made everyone feel so comfortable and was basically a part of our family at the end of the day. Mel's brother Tommy, and second shooter was just as incredible and worked so hard all day long. The guys absolutely loved hanging out with him in the morning and my friends even got little mini photoshoots during cocktail hour with him. They truly make such a good team! When we got our photos back, we were so in awe of how many little moments they captured that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Every single part of the day was beyond perfect and we are so grateful to have these memories for the rest of our lives.

was so much fun! She knew exactly how to work with us and our families to get the most natural and authentic photos. She comes up with a lot of funny games to get people to laugh and capture natural emotions in pictures, without it feeling awkward or cheesy at all. It was like working with a friend, she is so much fun! She also has really strong organizational skills both for the timeline of the day, and for herding many people throughout the day which can be difficult!! She captured the important moments and the emotions of the day perfectly and we can’t thank her enough and would recommend her 1000%!

s absolutely incredible and she takes such care in engaging with her clients to make sure they get exactly what they want from their wedding photos. She managed through a pandemic postponement with us and was always such a great support as we navigated through all of that. We could not recommend Melanie more to capture your wedding day thoughtfully and beautifully, all while making you feel so comfortable!

w date before taking new clients, she was there to ask any questions and problem solve along the way. Melanie went above and beyond by scheduling phone calls to help us talk out details and the flow of the big day including timelines and logistics. She arrived early, was extremely professional, and also so much fun to have around! Friends and family all pointed out how organized, helpful, and sweet she was. She helped everyone feel more relaxed in front of the camera and it felt like having an extra friend at the wedding there with us. We are so so happy with how all the pictures came out and excited to have these to look back on. I'm in love with the light, dreamy, and classic style of the photos, and so impressed by the extremely quick turnaround to get them back. Overall, Melanie was incredibly easy to work with. I look forward to hiring her for future events!

we were posing for pictures we were having such a good time. After postponing our wedding Melanie was nothing but supportive and easy to work with every step of the way. To me my wedding was my fairy tale come true and Melanie gave me the best photos to remember my happily ever after.

ho she is behind the camera is truly extraordinary. She goes above and beyond to make her “subjects” feel comfortable and confident, is communicative and detail oriented, and gets the job done seamlessly. We had a massive bridal party of 20 people plus our family and she was able to wrangle all of us and keep us on track, on time, all while having a ton of fun. I cannot recommend Melanie enough. You will not be disappointed.

ended up working out how they did and that she was ultimately the one to photograph our day!! Melanie was amazing to work with and I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for someone professional, organized, easy going and honestly willing to do whatever to make sure your day goes exactly as planned. Melanie stayed in contact with us early on in the planning process, scheduling multiple phone calls up until the week of the wedding to ensure that everything was planned accordingly. This was great for someone like me who isn’t the best at organization. Melanie came up with our entire timeline for the day of the wedding which I was also super thankful for! Our wedding day was cold and rainy but you would have no idea from looking at any of the pictures. Melanie was able to come up with multiple location options at the venue for pictures despite the weather. All of the pictures from our sneak peek came out amazing!! Our friends and family couldn’t stop talking about how amazing and efficient she was. All in all, hiring Melanie as our photographer was a great decision and I can’t recommend her enough!!!

lanie's soft, romantic style and command of natural lighting. Going into our initial call, I had no idea what I wanted as I was tired of being disappointed by cancelled plans! However, Melanie soon changed all that. Melanie is thoughtful, professional, experienced, and creative. She helped me organize my scattered vision into an actual plan. Melanie recommended the perfect location for us at the city hall, where we could rent an hour for portraits for a very affordable price. This was beyond perfect as our special day ended up being really cold ~30 degrees. During each call, Melanie made an effort to get to know us as a couple. On the day of the elopement, it felt as if we were spending time with a friend. This was especially comforting for us as none of our family was able to join us physically. Melanie was also amazing at directing us for each shot. Our final gallery far exceeded my expectations! She captured moments that I didn't even realize we had. Her enthusiasm and passion for capturing special moments was so evident during our elopement as she ended up spending much more time with us than planned. I absolutely recommend Melanie for all who are looking for not only a skillful photographer to capture their love story, but also an invaluable ally whose creativity and experience will make wedding planning so much less stressful!

is light and airy and everyone in her photos seemed to genuinely be living in the moment versus posing for a picture. This was exactly the style we were looking for so we reached out. From day 1, Melanie has been beyond helpful, thoughtful, professional and organized in her approach which was so, so appreciated. We had no idea what we were doing and she often anticipated any questions we would have. She sent out preparation packets, walked through several different timeline options and answered any and all questions or concerns. We got engaged in 2018, thinking a 2-year engagement would be enough time to prepare for a wedding... then came along a global pandemic (joke was on us!). At this point, we have worked with her on several occasions and every time was such a delight: An engagement session, a rehearsal dinner, an intimate “Covid wedding” and next, a Summer 2021 Wedding - version 2.0. Aside from her obvious talent, Melanie is one of the sweetest, most genuine people we have gotten to know in the industry and we are extremely excited for another year with with her! Thank you, Melanie!!

was so much fun to work with on our wedding day and made us feel so comfortable. And best of all, our pictures are AMAZING. She captured every special moment of the day, big and small. I keep going back to the photos to relive all the magic of our day! I truly cannot recommend Melanie enough!

er! After postponing our larger celebration with our friends and family, we approached Melanie after a referral from friends, to help capture our intimate elopement ceremony. From our first call with her, Melanie made us feel at ease as she spent time understanding our relationship journey and what moments we were hoping to capture for the friends and family that physically wouldn't be able to be present with us. On the day of our elopement, Melanie was so easy to work with, gave fantastic direction and suggestions, and went above and beyond in capturing organic moments that my fiancé and I will always look back on and cherish. She spent time understanding the meaning behind the traditions we had chosen to highlight in our ceremony, which resulted in beautiful photos we are beyond happy with!  Melanie is truly one-of-a kind and we are looking forward to working with her again in the future!

nt idea and willingness to shoot a non-traditional wedding to be a huge relief. Having been together for 10 + years, we really didn't want to do a wedding at all but wanted the photos and memories and Melanie was able to run with that half baked vision and turn it into an amazing experience for us. We couldn't have done it without her because she thought of things we never would have thought of-- and in less than 30 days, and during a pandemic no less. I especially love that Melanie was able to capture the surrounding landscape and the general vibe of the day, weather, details in addition to the photos of us. Couldn't have asked for anything more!!

nds couldn’t get over how she was able to easily enter the event and capture everything and making it fun at the same time :) The happiness we see in all of our photos brings us back to one of the best days of our lives, and we have Melanie to thank for that! We’d recommend Melanie for anybody’s big day.

ry! From the first moment my husband and I met Melanie, she was what my twin sister dubbed our “hype girl” because she was just as excited for this wedding as we were!! She was involved in each step of the wedding almost like a wedding planner! We were extremely fortunate to have her during the pandemic, she gave me comfort on the phone as I was crying and cheered me up! She always seemed to have a plan for everything. Not only did Melanie capture the beauty of our wedding, she also did a “covid postponement "shoot, Something both my husband and I recommend. She’ll make you feel at ease. Melanie's work is about capturing love and moments. She has such a skill at it! During the shoot, she would do these exercises that simply made you remember why you were getting married in the first place. I swear I fell more in love with my husband after that shoot. She truly goes above and beyond what a photographer is. One of my favorite memories of my wedding is melanin driving me to my wedding venue in the air conditioning that she had on full blast! She was at my beck and call during the entire night, which I didn’t expect nor need and was so grateful for. I didn’t have a bridal party, but I counted my vendors as my bridesmaids. Melanie also came up with a detailed schedule for our wedding! A timeline and it kept us all on track!! We had a wish list of photos and Mel captured them and exceeded our wildest dreams. At the last minute we decided to have a wedding videographer (do it, highly recommend) And she wrote vendors and reached out to friends to make it happen. I cannot recommend her enough!! Trying to plan and pull off a wedding in 2020 is no small feat, but not only was she up for the challenge, she exceeded all expectations. She was professional, kept everyone on task, but most importantly, kept me and my husband feeling comfortable and having fun. Stop reading this review and hire Mel immediately! My husband and I are like ok, lets have a baby so we can hang out with Melanie again! haha

capture this day, and I had previously seen Melanie’s work on Instagram. I loved that her photos captured the in-between moments without being overly edited; they looked like artwork to me. I thought it was the perfect style for our small ceremony and reception. I messaged her about 2 months before our date, and the first time we spoke on the phone I knew I made the right choice. Melanie is so down to earth, but at the same time you can tell she is detail oriented. She provided detailed timelines, and she even met us at our venue a week before our wedding to walk through areas of the property (And suggested I practice walking down the aisle as we weren’t doing a formal rehearsal). She offered ideas like a champagne toast immediately following the ceremony, or even a confetti toss. I didn’t really how exhausted and mentally drained I was from postponing our original wedding that I didn’t even think of all of these small yet meaningful details which really made a difference. My family appreciated her organizational skills, and the little ques she gave us in order to feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Overall, Melanie is hard working, detail oriented, creative, artistic, and laid back. She’s the perfect compliment to a scatter brained and tired bride, and I am so happy we got to work with her.

e would be in planning and the day of. We are so thankful we had Melanie carefully listening to what we envisioned, taking the time to get to know us, and executing each step of the way. Melanie traveled to us in NYC for our engagement shoot, she was in frequent contact with us leading up to the wedding and the day itself, she and her second shooter Maddie did a fantastic job. We were so happy with our pictures and were so grateful we had Melanie throughout our wedding day keeping everything moving. Thank you Melanie!

our engagement photo plans got ruined by the freezing rain she came right over to our house for an intimate engagement session, we were worried it wouldn't be as special having the picturesque scenery but these photos came out insane. That right there was a testament to how great of a photographer she is, she turned our grey living room into a modern, chic, photoshoot...I was stunned! When it came to the wedding she was my one vendor who was constantly in contact with me, going so far to ask me if I needed help with things that were not even related to her job. She is so kind hearted and talented, I wish I could clone her. Our wedding photos came out so stunning I am just in awe, they have been featured on multiple sites including Hayley Paige which was the designer of my bridesmaids dresses. Melanie was such a huge part of our day and she truly was along side us the entire night, making us comfortable when we were nervous or making us laugh in a tense situation. Not only will she produce the most amazing pictures you could ever want, she was truly a friend along side us in during that magical time.

r wedding. She is calm, professional and knows how to capture true emotion, without making anything looked staged. Her second shooter at our wedding was amazing as well!! We just received our wedding pictures and they are betting than we ever imagined. Our pictures capture every moment and emotion from the day and I can’t wait to look at them for years to come. Highly recommend!!

kes you feel so comfortable that you forget you have a camera pointed at you. It was a very sunny day and she came early to the hotel to scout out places we could take pictures there in the shade in addition to taking them at the venue where there wasn’t any Shade at all. I would have never even thought to ask her to do that! I highly recommend her as a photographer and as an added bonus she is an amazing person as well.

meant a lot to my husband and I. Our engagement photos were the first time we met Melanie in person, and she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She had us tell jokes to each other to loosen up, and she wanted to hear all about our special love story. Throughout the entire session we completely forgot there was a camera point right at us. The pictures came out breathtaking. Months before the wedding Melanie reached out with a wedding day information sheet. This insulted timing of events, “must-get” portraits of friends/ family, and important details/people at the wedding that she should spend extra attention on. Melanie worked with us to make our dream wedding a reality. She helped to plain every detail regarding timeline and photos that needed to be taken. She made us feel so much less stressed going into the big day. On the day of, Melanie came with SO much energy. She was so friendly to everyone and made us feel so special. Everything that we had spent weeks planning with Melanie went off without a hitch. She again made us feel so natural in front of the camera. She captured every special moment from the day. Melanie was the most organized vendor that we had at our wedding, she wanted to make sure that our day was everything we hoped for and more. A couple days after our wedding we received some sneak peak photographs and we were brought to tears. Melanie’s photos really do speak a thousand words. Our wedding photographs are something that we will always have to look back on our special day, and I would not have wanted any else besides Melanie to capture these moments for us.

ould go by in the blink of an eye -- so choosing the right photographer for us was so important because we wanted to be able to look back on the celebration. To say that Melanie did a excellent job is an understatement. She checks off all the boxes you'd want for a photographer -- professional, collaborative, artistic, and experienced -- but she goes far above and beyond those things. Her thoughtfulness plus the level of detail and care she took to make sure she captured our day perfectly is what sets her apart, and she did just that: her pictures are truly perfect and unique. Plus, it's a pleasure to work with Melanie, and she makes planning the details around the photography for the wedding easy and stress free -- which means A LOT given all the logistics around the event. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

ts you at ease during the photographing process. She captured every single moment from my wedding. I highly recommend Melanie for your wedding photography—she is AMAZING!

s phenomenal to work with; super friendly, insanely organized, and she really just made everything so easy, from our original meeting all the way through receiving our photo gallery. Posing for pictures isn't the most comfortable/natural thing but Melanie made us feel super comfortable in a very organic, non-forced way. She actually made it fun. We've received tons of compliments and positive feedback from everyone that has seen our pictures. My cousins shot video at our wedding and were extremely impressed with Melanie's work. So much so that they said they wished they had hired her for their wedding. Our bridal party and family also really enjoyed working with Melanie on our big day. We would HIGHLY recommend Melanie to anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding, or any reason for that matter!

os to goes "Woah, you had a GREAT photographer". I would recommend Mel's services to EVERY couple planning a wedding 10/10 times!

. She met with us several times before the day to make sure everything went perfectly .. which it did! She made everyone feel so comfortable while shooting and honestly made it so much fun! All my bridesmaids couldn’t stop talking about how fun she was :-) our pictures came out even better than I could have imagined, we love them all! I highly recommend Melanie, we had a great experience!
