I could not have picked anyone better for my wedding makeup. Melanie listened to exactly what I had pictured for my wedding day. I was really nervous about not looking like myself or not liking what I looked like and Melanie made me look perfect. She came to the venue and was able to get everyone ready for pictures by the time I had scheduled and was just overall a great person to have hanging out with the bridal party! I highly recommend hiring Melanie for your big day. I couldn't have imagined it without her!

I came across Melanie on the Knot app. I was nervous about selecting a makeup artist for my wedding as I don’t have any experience with having my makeup done. My concerns were completely washed away when I had my makeup trial. Melanie was amazing, sweet and she really listens to you. She is professional and really knows her stuff. I completely put my trust in her and on my wedding day my makeup was flawless. It was not only flawless but it lasted through the most humid weather during my outdoor wedding. I have chosen Melanie to be my makeup artist for my bridal makeup and thank God I did. My wedding is July 14th 2018 and I am getting married in Connecticut but I am not from nor do I live in Connecticut. From the beginning Melanie assured me it would not be a problem that I lived out of state! She was also the only artist I found via Theknot who was more than wiling to, travel to where I am getting ready the day of, AND the only artist I contacted who was more than willing to do just my makeup as I am not having a bridal party. From the moment Melanie and I started communicating I instantly felt at ease with her. She was very personable and made it very easy to connect with, not only in regards to doing my makeup and doing it in the way in which I asked but also during our trial makeup day where it felt like her and I had been friends for years. Melanie was my chosen make-up artist on an editorial photo shoot in NYC. She has a meticulous eye for detail resulting in beautifully stunning make-up that not only photographs to perfection but is wearable in reality without looking over-done. For anyone who is sensitive like I am, she is gentle in her application of quality, high end products. Aside from being amazingly gifted in her profession, she possesses an aura of warmth that put me at ease and brought life and vitality to our day working together. Melanie is the best make-up artist I’ve worked with in my 15 plus year modelling career and I highly recommend her as I will be using her for my future wedding.

Melanie was INCREDIBLE! To explain how incredible she was, I have to give a bit of a backstory. The salon I originally selected, where I had my makeup trial done had lost their artist so about four weeks before the wedding I was back at square one. I reached out to Melanie via The Knot and she got back to me in minutes! Since I live quite far from where our wedding venue was, I wasn't able to get up to the area to do another trail but Melanie and I exchanged pictures, emails and spoke on the phone for at least 45 minutes just to figure out what kind of look I wanted. She more than exceeded my expectations that day. I was so happy with how it came out and even happier with the fact that it looked better than my original trail! Not only is her skill level incomparable but her professionalism and overall happy, bubbly attitude made myself, my bridesmaids and my mother super comfortable. Everyone had a great time and looked AMAZING!

Loved my experience and I would happily refer Melanie to everyone. I got my makeup done for a wedding and it was beautiful. Not only that, it lasted all day. I cannot say enough great things about Melanie Meeker Makeup and Melanie Meeker. She is the most talented makeup artist I know and a true professional - simply the best. I connected with Melanie this summer when I was in a pinch for a makeup artist for my engagement photos. Despite not having time for a trial and limited information on what type of look I was going for, Melanie absolutely NAILED my makeup. We did a natural look and I have never felt more gorgeous. Even the pink lip stick with a pop of tangerine was perfect to bring out my summer glow. Melanie also kept me on track that day and made sure I was ready for the 6pm shoot. I knew from that day that I had to book her for my big day and bridal party. A month before our wedding, I met with Melanie to do a trial for the big day. We discussed different looks and doing something a bit more glam that would fitting to our wedding and, of course, the dress :) I was nervous because I typically do not wear a lot of makeup. During the trial, I kept asking Mel, "Is this too much? Do we need to dial back a bit?" She reassured me that it would be perfect, but, of course, would take whatever I wanted into consideration. When she arrived at the house on wedding day, she and her assistant, Angela, got right to work on the 6 bridesmaids and the Mother of the Bride. They were unbelievable - they worked so well together and made sure everyone was on schedule and where they should be. For the bridesmaids, we decided on a natural look and she nailed it. She and Angela knew exactly how to tweak the look for different skin tones, facial contours, etc. My bridesmaids and Mother looked absolutely stunning. When my turn came, I kept trying to peek in the mirror to see how it was going. When the final look was ready, Melanie handed me the mirror. The makeup was AMAZING!!! Glam, but not over the top - sophisticated and classy. I can't even count how many compliments I received on my makeup that day. Besides the makeup being perfect, Melanie and her assistant were professional, easy going and kept us on track. Wedding days can be extremely stressful, but Melanie and Angela were so positive and calm, and it absolutely made a difference.
