Columbus Ohio Wedding Photographer | Cinematic Storytelling + Stress-Free Timeline Planning Since 2012
Your wedding day shouldn't feel rushed. You've dreamed about this day—the genuine laughter, the tears during vows, dancing with your grandparents—but here's what keeps you up at night: What if poor planning turns your dream day into a stressful blur?
You book a wedding photographer who takes beautiful photos but leaves you scrambling with an impossible timeline. You're stressed about lighting, worried about coordinating vendors, and afraid you won't have time to actually enjoy your own celebration.
I'm Melchy Hill, a filmmaker-turned-wedding-photographer who brings a cinematic storytelling approach to every Columbus wedding. Since 2012, I've helped 100+ Ohio couples create stress-free wedding days through expert timeline planning AND stunning visual storytelling.
Why My Background Matters to Your Wedding:
I've always had a love of storytelling—it's why I fell in love with photography. When I'm not shooting weddings, you'll still find me behind my camera creating short films. My work has been featured at Gateway Theater for the 48 Hour Film Festival and Studio 35 for 3 Weeks of Terror. There's an incredible rush watching your film on the big screen and hearing the audience's reactions—and I bring that same cinematic passion and energy to capturing your wedding day.
I'm extremely passionate about what I do, and I hope you can see that when viewing my images. But more importantly, I hope you feel it on your wedding day when you're relaxed, present, and trusting that every meaningful moment is being captured beautifully.

lchy had great ideas for locations and looks. And the day of the wedding she was phenomenal. She went over and above to ensure we looked great throughout and had an amazing day. I cannot recommend her enough or wait to use her for family photos in the future.

absolutely delightful. Melchy is so easy to work with, accommodating and generally fun. I have nothing but good things to say about her - a truly wonderful person.
In the interest of full disclosure, Melchy is my high school friend, but she is also a really great photographer. I had her do some professional head-shots for me a few years ago a...
nd was so impressed that I recently hired her do my wedding. I was amazed by how well she was able to unobtrusively take pictures through the set up and ceremony. She's basically a ninja. Also, I had a mostly do-it-yourself wedding, and I didn't plan anything with photos in mind. This created some unexpected challenges during the ceremony, but she was able to overcome them all with grace. She is also funny and creative and easy to work with. I highly recommend her and look forward to working with her again.

th photos after the wedding and they were of great quality and very professional. She did such a great job that her name popped up as soon as we found out we were having our 1st child. We hired her to take our baby announcement photos and Melchy delivered! The location she picked for the perfect, she arrived on time with props, and she even picked out different shooting areas before hand. I would hire Melchy again and I plan on doing just that in the future. Thank you, Melchy.
