She truly understood our vision and made sure nothing was overlooked. On the wedding day, the venue was beautifully prepared and created an elegant, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was attentive and handled any issues seamlessly, allowing us to enjoy the day without worry. The venue also offers plenty of stunning photo opportunities, both indoors and out, and is a perfect backup for indoor ceremonies in case of bad weather. When rain hit unexpectedly, the staff quickly adjusted the layout, ensuring everything went smoothly. Our guests were equally impressed with the service and attention they received. When my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we toured plenty of venues, but we knew right away that Melhorn Manor was different in the best way. We were used to being rushed through other venue tours, dismissed because our wedding wasn't big enough, and generally being made to feel more like dollar signs than excited newlyweds-to-be. But our experience at Melhorn Manor couldn't have been further from this - we met Allory for the tour, and before we took a step through the property, he took the time to introduce himself and the Melhorn family and to share the lovely story of how Melhorn Manor came about. We didn't feel rushed or pressured like we had at other venues, and Allory really took the time to understand our vision for our big day and help us imagine it around the property. We left that day glowing and feeling sure that "this is the one!" And how right we were!! We really can't say enough positive things about our wedding day. Getting ready in the amazing bridal suite and Groom's room was such a fun and special way to kick off the day. As the ceremony approached, it was so clear that the team was all working so hard to make sure all the decor was set up, every detail was thought through, and every moment went off without a hitch. What a special and humbling feeling it is to have so many people invested in making your special day as magical and memorable as you've always hoped it would be - it's impossible to express the depth of our gratitude. Our wedding day was quite a rainy one, but the Melhorn team had a plan for everything. Melhorn Manor had the most robust rain plan of any venue we toured: some venues' plans had felt more like an afterthought, while Melhorn offers an entirely separate building that can be used for the ceremony in inclement weather. It was such a huge relief to feel like we didn't have to worry about adjusting every detail on the fly, and to go into our rainy wedding day knowing that, regardless of the weather, it would be just as beautiful and special as we always imagined. We had and continue to have SO many of our guests, both on the wedding night and afterwards, tell us that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. So many glowing comments about the beautiful venue, the fun had on the dance floor, the amazing and kind staff, and all of the countless details that go into making the day memorable. We couldn't agree more that Melhorn Manor was the perfect backdrop for our special day, and we have the incredible team to thank for all the hard work, attention to detail, and love that went into making this the wedding of our dreams. During the tour, Allory was so helpful and informative and showed us so many images of each space to help us visualize how it could look on our wedding day. When we started the planning process, Jess was AMAZING to work with as well. She was so organized and helped us with everything from table layouts, linens, timelines, rehearsal, and every detail in between. They were super responsive and attentive from the start to the very end and our wedding could not have gone any more smooth, thanks to the Melhorns and team. The entire venue was beautiful. The bridal suite has so much space for all your girls to get ready and the groomsman suite was a hit for the guys. The reception hall is stunning and there was so much room to move around even with 18 tables. If you’re considering Melhorn Manor, my only advise is DO IT!!!!!

When planning for a wedding on a budget we wanted to get the biggest bang for our buck - yes it may be more upfront than most venues in the area but WOW is it worth it and even SAVES you money! What really made the instant decision to book was that Jess and Allory did not try to nickle and dime you - you paid for their venue but also it came with SO much stuff. It is beautiful in its nature with its elevated barn aroma that not a lot of decorations are needed to make it elegant. They also offered all and anything they had with no extra charge including ; a list of over 100 decor items to choose from, an arch (out of three choices), all tables and chairs you could ever need, their own sound system so we did not have to hire a DJ, coordination services MONTHS BEFORE and DURING the wedding - I could go on but I think you get the idea that Melhorn Manor is an OUTSTANDING venue with people that work and care for all their couples from the bottom of their hearts. Jess & Allory - thank you for making our dream day come to life! It was everything we ever dreamed of!

The location being in town in Mount Joy surprised us initially, but while there you hardly even notice that this gem of a venue has other businesses and buildings nearby. You’ll feel like you’re in your own world either in the outside ceremony spot, playing cornhole at the front of the equestrian barn, or out back at their wonderful waterfall feature.

The worst part of booking with such wonderful people and venue is realizing that after the wedding day has come to end end, so has your planning. I have had the pleasure of chatting here and there with Jess post wedding, but no one tells you about the void you feel after spending a year or more with your vendors. There is no doubt in my mind that without the help of those two out day wouldn’t have gone as well as it did. They made you feel like part of their Melhorn family before your actual day. Jess answered every question we could possibly think of leading up to and on the wedding day. They were the upmost professional with all the wedding guests. They helped whoever needed help and directed everyone from the ceremony to cocktail hour without a hitch. The vendors they recommend are fantastic as well. Definitely stick to the list of vendors they give you because you definitely won’t regret it. It was a very hot June day but they made sure everyone in the wedding party and guest were properly hydrated the whole time. Just when you think they can’t blow your mind with hospitality they blow your expectations out the water. I recommend Melhorn Manor to any newly engaged couples in my friend group because they are absolutely the best!

While we did plan for a few decorations and some flowers, we were free from stress of how we would make the space look nice on the wedding day, because every space, indoor and outdoor, is authentically gorgeous just as it is. Our guests still mention the "Wow" as they walked through the door to the reception. The entire venue feels authentic. It does not feel like trappings pulled together that largely look out of place as many venues these days do, but rather thoughtful historic preservation with just the right amount of modern amenities. It must not go without mentioning that Jess and Allory were the most gracious, kind hosts who were wonderful to work with from beginning to end. They gave my wife and me such a great gift in hosting our wedding at their venue, a gorgeous, stress-free day with our loved ones.

As a gay couple getting married in PA, we were nervous looking for venues and let me tell you we were so HONORED to be their first (of many) Gay Wedding! Jess was so sweet and so excited to have us that it really made us feel so so welcome into their venue and their family of weddings! We were a wedding of 75 people and we used the Tobacco Barn for our Ceremony, The Stables for Cocktail Hour, and the upstairs Barn for Reception. We used the Corn barn for some photos of us practicing our first dance as that was my favorite location! We were also a December wedding themed to Classic Winter Holiday and this was perfect for that. I really have so much good to say about the venue and the Melhorns, they helped us have the wedding of our dreams! And they really do care about their Couples! Do not hesitate to book this venue!

ou have 4 hours for set up of your decor if you choose. They have a few decor items you can use as well. They have a bridal suite and a groom suite. The groom suite is so cool and sold my husband. They have so many different ways to host your event there from the barns to a courtyard. You can pick our your vendors from their list which is huge and has so many options. You have a day of coordinator who helps your through the day and directing you in anything needed. Our photos came back so gorgeous! Jess is very quick to answer calls or texts throughout the process as well and was really helpful to keep me organized as well. We are so happy we were able to celebrate our wedding at Melhorn!

I was someone who didn't want a room flip and Melhorn gives you options for your ceremony location which worked perfectly for us. Every space they have to offer is drop dead gorgeous.
