listened to what we were hoping for. On the day of the wedding, she was calm, patient, and such a reassuring presence. She made us and our families feel comfortable, which really came through in the photos.
The pictures themselves are stunning. She captured a perfect balance of formal portraits and candid, documentary-style shots that brought the entire day back to life for us. Every image is beautiful and full of genuine emotion.
We also want to mention her assistant photographer-she was absolutely wonderful to work with on the day of the wedding. She blended in seamlessly, was kind and professional, and helped capture even more amazing moments. The photos from both of them turned out beautifully.

led info guide with pricing, sample timelines, and FAQ’s even before chatting with us. After talking to her, we knew she was the right choice because of her friendliness, photography style, and overall vibe.
We are both camera shy but Kara really knew how to open us up. Working with her felt so natural and easy, and she was super encouraging about everything. During the engagement shoot she suggested ideas for poses and things for us but never forced us to do them if we didn't want to. We ended up going with pretty much everything she said though since she had great ideas and vision. She also made sure to bring out our personalities and interests (such as goofiness and love of arcade games) to capture us in a truly personal and authentic way.
That ease extended into the wedding day itself. We worked with Kara and her assistant Brittany, and both did a great job capturing moments and wrangling us throughout the day. Although we had a very detailed schedule for the day, we didn't realize how easy it'd be to get off-track from it but Kara and Brittany rolled with the punches and didn't force us to stick to our schedule. For example, we had lots of friends and family coming up to us for photos during a block where we had planned on doing private photos, but they adapted and worked it into the day while still finding plenty of time later for private photos.
We've only gotten the sneak peeks so far as our wedding was just a few weeks ago, but we know the full album is going to be amazing, given how our engagement photos turned out. We cannot recommend Kara enough. She’s super personable, professional, and will go above and beyond to incorporate your requests in, and working with her was such a fun and stress-free experience.

Kara knocks it out of the park on every aspect. Her beautiful photos speak for themself, but she is also very communicative, organized and helpful when it comes to the preparation and planning of the wedding day. She created a photo timeline and worked with our day-of-coordinator to make sure things would run smoothly.
Kara is an amazing, down-to-earth person who will make you feel comfortable behind the camera. She is also adventurous and down to try fun things to get great shots (smoke bombs!)

We hit the jackpot with having Kara as our photographer. She did so much more than capture our day—she provided us the timeline for our day (which was huge given we didn’t have a wedding planner or day of coordinator), she calmed our nerves the day of our wedding, and she helped curate special memories while we were having our couples photos taken (for example, we did some pics in a canoe and it was an adventure I’ll remember forever).
