natural lighting and colors.. just everything that my non photographer brain can’t even comprehend of all the things she has to be mindful of.  She asks little things to women like, “whats your best side” because most women have a side of their face that they like best (I know I do).  She utilizes nature, lighting and natural beauty in each person to capture just incredible pictures.  The pictures are so whimsical and natural looking.  Loveeee every one!  She helps you pose- like I said, she is great at making very natural, organic photos but helps with figuring out fun ways to take pictures.  She asked my son what his favorite show was and was able to talk to him about that and he LIT up and she finally got a smile from him.  She made my husband and I laugh we just felt so comfortable.  This helped because we aren’t very comfortable around the camera and not really sure what looks good.  She’s a big help!   She is so personable and friendly.  She makes you feel so comfortable and is great with all ages from babies, toddlers, teens, couples, you name it, she will make you feel like you’re talking to a good friend and find the things that naturally make each person smile.  She even let my toddler try her camera out and helped him play photographer to make him feel more comfortable.   She has given us pictures that we will have for the rest of our lives to remember such a special day.  Having a good photographer and someone that can make you comfortable around the camera is so important.  Mel is really the best.  We will be using her for so many other occasions for photography in the future too.
