Melissa Jones is more than just a photographer—she’s a wedding planner, coordinator, therapist, adult babysitter and so much more! She by far was our best vendor, wearing so many hats. We contacted her a year before our wedding and she stayed in constant contact leading up to our wedding and beyond. Her honesty and transparency set her apart from the rest. Her work speaks for itself; every picture is flawless and you can see visibly all the effort she puts into each and every photo. Six months before the wedding, she sent us a questionnaire asking for every picture we were hoping for (including those we did not want to have taken) along with asking for family dynamics so she did not accidentally offend that one crazy aunt we all have. Not only did Melissa include all the shots/portraits/pinterest ideas we requested, she delivered so many we did not ask for and they are some of our favorites! Melissa is amongst the best of the best and although we won’t need her to photograph our wedding again we will recommend her to anyone and everyone and plan on having her shoot family sessions in our future!

We didn’t use Melissa for a wedding (we didn’t know her then) but we used her for anniversary/baby announcement photos. She was great at communicating beforehand and friendly during the shoot. She gave us great prompts and pose ideas to make us comfortable in front of the camera. I would recommend her for a wedding based on our experience doing anniversary photos.

I can’t recommend Melissa enough! She was a gem to work with. From the time of our first call we knew it was a perfect fit ! She’s knowledgeable and professional and was so helpful in helping us plan and capture our perfect day. The engagement shoot came back better than anything we could have imagined. I kept telling people I have a “Pinterest album”! When it came to wedding day, Melissa and the second shooter/assistant kept everything flowing and captured every little detail perfectly. We went over all of the must have shots and created a perfect timeline that fit our day just right. The pre-wedding planning calls allowed for all of my millions of questions to be answered. Hands down the most memorable moment was when she helped fish a giant ant out of the lace layers of my gown with tweezers on wedding day right after I got dressed! What a champ as she helped me stay calm and saved the day! Melissa sent out the most amazing sneak peek album within days of wedding day and worked tirelessly on editing to get the full album out with such a quick turn around time. I can’t emphasize enough how much we loved our final album and highly recommend !!

I booked a mini session with Melissa right before her move to FL. The entire time during our sessions she made my husband and I feel comfortable. We even had our pups at the photoshoot with us! She is incredibly sweet and I could tell that she really cared about us, our story, and our pictures! When we got our gallery back, I was blown away! She captured all the love so perfectly and every picture felt authentic.
