Melissa was absolutely amazing! She was actually our first vendor we booked for our wedding: that's how much we loved her work! We originally booked with Melissa in January 2019 for our April 2020 destination wedding in Hilton Head Island, SC. In March 2020, we knew we had to postpone due to the global pandemic. Melissa was flexible and able to reschedule to our new wedding date in April 2021. She maintained consistent communication with us throughout the entire process. We first got to meet Melissa in person in March 2019 when we traveled to HHI for our engagement photo shoot. We hit it off with Melissa right away and ended up having a 4-hour dinner after our photos! That connection we built was so important to us since your photographer is with you throughout your entire wedding day! The weather forecast for our wedding day was less than ideal so Melissa took some portraits of us on the beach the evening before our wedding, as well as the morning after. She and her second shooter executed plan B for our wedding day very well since we were unable to take portraits on the beach as planned. They were both very professional and their assertiveness was much appreciated when we were able to breeze right through all of our formal portraits and have time to relax and hang out before the ceremony! Melissa's photography speaks for itself. She has wonderful creativity and vision for creating the perfect shot. It's actually taken us quite a few months to narrow down which photos we want in our keepsake albums because we love them all! Melissa went above and beyond from our engagement photos to our wedding photos. We couldn't be more thankful she was a part of our wedding day and now a part of our life as our friend!

Melissa is wonderful! My husband and I live out of town. Due to COVID, we could not meet Melissa until our wedding day. She was so easy to work with and made us both so comfortable day of. She made the photography process seamless and captured our day perfectly. She delivered over 1,000 pictures, took little to no breaks throughout the night, and delivered a stunning album. I can't say enough positive things about Melissa!

Melissa made our wedding day an absolute dream! She is so easy to work with, and she somehow made it fun to take 1000+ photos! My husband, who HATES, taking pictures is still raving about her months after our wedding. She truly captured each moment of our special day, and now we have these photos to look back on forever. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, reasonable, and all-around wonderful photographer! I can't say enough great things about her.

Choosing your photographer is one of the biggest decisions you will make during the planning process. Choosing Melissa, was easy! Her pictures speak for themselves but my experience was top notch. Melissa was the most amazing photographer. She photographed my bridal portraits and my wedding day. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. On my wedding day Melissa captured the big moments and the small details, so beautifully. Melissa made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I was so impressed at her ability to corral our lively bridal party and get the best shots. Melissa was very professional and I got my pictures back sooner than I expected. My wedding pictures were so dreamy. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer that captures the beautiful, real moments on your big day, look no further!

Working with Melissa was such a joy. She is an incredibly talented photographer, and I'm in love with every single one of our engagement and wedding photos! Melissa is kind, funny, and so personable. She fit right in with my bridal party during pre-ceremony photos, and even jammed out to Hamilton with us. Melissa is professional and organized, and made sure to capture the moments that were most important to me and my husband. Brides, I cannot recommend her enough!!

Melissa was such a perfect fit for our Engagement and Wedding photos and my Bridal Portraits! She is so friendly and fun and is super efficient! I was amazed at how quickly she could get all the shots we wanted and she really captured what we wanted to portray in our photos. It was raining all day on our wedding but she was great at managing time in between the rain for photos and even set up a night time romantic rain shot for us. I can't recommend her enough!

Melissa is the best! She was there for us every step up of the way. Whether it was wedding day slip-ups, wardrobe malfunctions, and even just ensuring my husband and I had a time set aside to eat at the reception---Melissa did it all! Highly highly HIGHLY recommend!

Melissa Brewer is the absolute best! I had a bad experience with a photographer my family wanted me to hire and as soon as I found Melissa she got in touch on a holiday weekend and had everything scheduled within a few days. Our engagement photo session was literally perfect, she is such a joy to work with & she had a sneak peak already posted that night! We're still getting compliments about our photos months later. She's professional, kind, funny, and efficient. She's worth so much more than she charges, you will not regret hiring her!!

I know Charleston is a wedding town, but I was still absolutely floored by the price quotes I was getting for a fairly modest photo package. I didn't know what I was going to do. Thank goodness I found Melissa Brewer! She is based in Newberry, SC, so I paid her a little extra for travel, but her pricing was still very reasonable, and after looking at her website I felt confident that I had made a good choice. However, after having her photograph my wedding and seeing the results, I am confident that I got the absolute BEST deal ever! The pictures are beautiful, she captured everything I wanted and some things I didn't know I wanted but LOVE having photos of. She was a joy to work with and easy to communicate with, which was very important to me since I was planning most of the wedding from my overseas post. In short - you will not regret hiring Melissa for all your wedding photography needs!
