The owner of the company, Melissa, has been in the makeup industry for over 15 years and has since continued to develop her artistry. Her work has been recognized in live TV Liz Cho Eyewitness News, Today Show, Men in Black 3 and even on the runway for NYC’s fashion week. Melissa’s primary focus is now on her clientele as she works closely to create a unique look for each individual. Alongside her creative team of stylists, she loves to make each person feel beautiful inside and out by enhancing the features they already have.
Melissa D’Aloia & Co offers a wide range of services for wedding parties, bridal showers (for our booked brides), dinner rehearsal, wedding day and return for touch-ups on your big day, and they even lead private group lessons. The team can accommodate on-site services in wedding suites so that the client is able to get ready in the comfort of their room. The skilled artists can also provide airbrush makeup, false eyelashes, and hairstyling on the day if requested.

One moment that really stood out to me was with my niece. She was only supposed to have her hair done, but she became upset in the bridal suite because her makeup was not turning out the way she hoped while doing it herself. Without hesitation, Melissa’s team stepped in with such kindness and offered to do her makeup as well. It completely made her day, and I cannot thank them enough for that.
Of course we paid for the additional service, but since it was not part of the original contract, I felt terrible accepting the offer. They immediately reassured me it was completely fine. Simple moments like that made the experience even more special because it showed how much they genuinely care about their brides and families.

On the day of my wedding, Melissa and her team arrived on time and were so efficient from start to finish. The last thing you want to be concerned about on the day of your wedding is if the hair & make-up will run smoothly. With Melissa and her team, I was at ease throughout the entire "getting ready" process. The hair & make-up teams each listened to every person's specific hair & make-up requests, and the final results were better than I could have imagined!!! Everyone in the bridal party, my sister-in-law, my mom and my now mother-in-law were extremely happy with their hair& make-up and felt so beautiful for the wedding. I was beyond thrilled with how my hair & make-up came out, and it lasted all day/night (even through first look pictures outside, bridal party pictures, wedding ceremony, and a TON of dancing)!!

She followed up with me after my trial (which I immediately booked with her for my wedding) to see how the make up held up throughout the night and ensure she could make notes of any tweaks for my big day. I have oily eyelids so I had a little bit of eyeliner smearing after 8 hours and Melissa assured me she would use waterproof liner for my wedding day and even offered to make an appointment with me to redo my eyes at no charge to make sure they were perfect! Melissa is also super responsive over text and email, which is something that was really important to me as a bride. I had a tough time sleeping the night before my wedding and ended up awake at 5 am and I was having trouble falling back asleep because I knew we needed to be ready to start hair and make up at 8am (I had 12 girls in my bridal party). So I texted Melissa and she told me I could sleep in and she didn’t need me there until 10:45 am latest- This was an absolute life saver- I feel like I wouldn’t have made it through the day without the extra sleep! Kerri did my hair and it was AWESOME! She teaches classes on glam waves (which after seeing some photos of her work I knew I wanted!) and she also did a second braided look for me for the reception. Kerri was super fun and easy going and helped me remain calm and laughing the morning of my wedding. We had two additional MUA/stylists, and everyone’s make up looked AMAZING! All of the girls were so happy, and it held up through the heat and humidity of July. Thank you Melissa and team!! I couldn’t recommend a vendor more!!

She listened to the style we both wanted and used an inspo picture we showed her to recreate two beautiful updos for my wedding day. The team met myself, my bridal party of 5, MOB and MOG, at the venue and they did a BEYOND phenomenal job with both hair and makeup for everyone. Everyone raved about how much they loved their services. Both hair and makeup artists did touch ups on everyone, put my veil on and explained to someone how to take it out.
