Plus, they rolled with the punches of photographing our 13 nieces and nephews-- kids are in their own element a lot of time, and Melissa and Monique did a fabulous job getting shots of the children. Great experience planning the wedding day, during the day of, and delivering the digital prints and photo albums. 10/10 would hire Melissa Hoko again.

responsive, professional, and an all around great person to work with. She gave me great advice while planning out the day, and even helped with timelines and gave recommendations from her experience. We had a very large bridal party, something I didn’t realize is probably a challenge for photographers... wrangling a big group of boozy groomsmen and figuring out how to fit everyone into a pretty photo :) and she organized everything quickly and perfectly so that we could capture moments but also enjoy our day. For our engagement session and during the bride and groom portraits she helped us feel comfortable so that the photos came out natural and “us.” I am blown away by all our photos of the day; and everything was captured so beautifully. on when we took our engagement shots on the National Mall. We knew in minutes that we had found a true gem to work with. Melissa made us feel so relaxed and comfortable. She also worked with us to incorporate our rambunctious dog into a few shots! Our wedding shots take hours to look through because Melissa captured so many beautiful moments! Our wedding party, family and friends all enjoyed working with her! She added an extra layer of fun to our day as she seamlessly incorporated herself into our activities. Needless to say, two years later, when it came to having family photos/newborn photos taken of our newly formed family of three, we reached out to Melissa. There was no one else we would want to capture these special moments as a family. Melissa came to our home when our son was 6 days old and we love all of our photos! Having a newborn is stressful enough and Melissa made this the most relaxed experience and took quality time working with us.
