Melissa did a wonderful job on my hair for my best friend’s wedding! She was very sweet and talked through my vision with me and executed it better than I even imagined it!

rection that I wanted. She also did my sister and mom’s hair which looked great. The hairstyle lasted all night and into the early morning!
The absolute best of the best. Melissa was so wonderful to work with. I knew I wanted someone with vintage style expertise, and she immediately sent me examples of her vintage work...
. I took a couple of days to think about it, but my gut feeling was "BOOK HER," and I'm so glad I followed it. Being that she has worked in TV/Film and Broadway, I knew we would get along.
Trial: I knew I wanted the bangs to be vintage-inspired, but I couldn't figure out the back. I sent a bunch of options, and Melissa helped collaborate on a look that was so perfectly me. She mashed vintage and fairytale as if it was a style she had been doing her whole life.
Day of: Melissa arrived early and set up right away. She was patient with me as I was helping set up, and then we got my hot rollers in. She then proceeded TO FLY through my bridal party's hair. I have never seen someone do such INCREDIBLE work so fast. A seriously amazing speed demon! Each of my girls wanted something different. One - a Broadway-inspired do, another - a classic French Twist, and another - wanted to be able to show off their undercut. She got these done without missing a beat and everyone looked fantastic. She got my hair up and ready, and then proceeded to do touch-ups on everyone.
My hair stayed PUT the entire day, even into the next day. I wish I never had to take it out!
I would book Melissa 1000x over and recommend her with my whole heart.
Not only is she insanely talented, but she was wonderful to chat with and a total sweetheart. I hope our paths cross again. <3

Melissa was simply amazing, from beginning to end. The hairstyle I chose was challenging (old Hollywood waves on a very rainy and humid day)- and not only did it look incredible, i...
t lasted until the next day when I showered. Melissa was delightful to work with: professional, excellent about timing and schedule, flexible and extremely kind. She was relaxed and took on every challenge with ease, making me feel at ease when working with her. 10/10 I recommend! She works in NY a lot but she lives in Connecticut now so if you’re there you HAVE TO call her.
