Melissa helped us work out our choreography in a very organic way, giving us her professional thoughts and ideas, while also hearing our input on what we liked, didn’t like and even some of our crazier ideas! Together we’re able to come up with a fun First Dance that exceeded even our own expectations and gave our wedding guests a great show! Melissa was incredibly flexible to work with on timing and location. She came to our house for a few of our earlier sessions and then we met at a studio at times that worked with our busy schedules. We were able to schedule sessions very quickly and easily either in person or via text. Melissa’s rates were also incredibly reasonable and the value of her teaching was worth much more than the cost of sessions. We definitely have interest in continuing dance lessons in the future and Melissa will 100% be our go to!! Cannot recommend her enough! If you want a fun, hands on, enjoyable dance experience, Melissa is your best choice!!

Through the changes in shelter in place and COVID, she offered options to continue lessons and made us feel supported through the whole process. This made us feel more confident in our abilities because it meant if we messed up slightly we had the ability to recover without anyone noticing instead of ruining the entire dance! She checked in on us about potential delays to our wedding plans and offered different options from delaying lessons to online lessons to make us feel comfortable. As a result, my husband was even suggesting we start doing dance lesson date nights after the wedding, couldn't recommend Melissa more!

During the wedding, our dance was a hit! People actually thought I knew how to dance! Nope; I just had natural rhythm and a good instructor.

She has not only helped us with choreography for our wedding, she has taught us to dance tango for any occasion or Milonga. Her prices are very reasonable and she is flexible with scheduling. me, someone with two left feet! When it came time for my daughter's wedding we wanted to dance together but never having danced that part was probably the most nerve raking thing of all for me! However, when it came time for the big day, that part - our dance - was the most enjoyable part of the entire night for me! I was looking forward to dancing with my little girl and had the confidence to do it - all because of Melissa's teaching!! I am so glad we took the lessons with Melissa! I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for quality dance instruction. Melissa made the whole process easy and enjoyable and you will not be disappointed in giving her a try!

Due to time constraints, and my daughter and I living in different cities, we could only schedule 5 (1 hour) dance sessions, and 2 of them were back to back sessions at the same time,, so 5 sessions in 3 days. 3. Somehow Melissa just knew how to understand my utter lack of experience and limitations and approach the instructions from many different points of view, visual, descriptive,, written notes for counting, software for counting steps, gently training each of individually and together at the right times, by breaking the waltz down into manageable parts and then pull it all together. It was clear that her decade long experience has given Melissa a versatile inventory of different types of clients of varying abilities to draw from, and , this is important, quickly progress each lesson expeditiously and achieve a very good end result for the Father Daughter dance in 5 total hours of instruction. This is why I believe Melissa deserves a 5 star rating because when you think about, and consider all of the above facts , it would be clear that she aced a tall order.

We were also able to film parts we had problems with in our dance with her so we had a guide to take home! If we had issues in our dance, she easily got them cleared up. Her teaching method is very useful. She will observe what you have issues with, show you what you are doing, then demonstrate how to fix the issues so you can perform well. She's an excellent teacher, you just have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone to learn new things and dance to enjoy it!

After just those few lessons, Melissa made us feel so comfortable with what we had learned and able to show off at the wedding. So super sweet & great to work with! She is soo knowledgeable & a great teacher!! She worked magic on what she had to work with. We all knew nothing about dancing and very uncoordinated and she taught us soo much! There are so many factors in learning to dance that you’d never think of and she really knew her stuff! I highly recommend her to anyone looking to take any or all styles of dance lessons!
