Melissa Sigler Photography - Kansas City, Lawrence

ould recommend her!!!

awrence, Kansas and even though we felt awkward in front of the camera, Melissa made us laugh and feel at ease. It was nice to get to know her during the engagement photos and before our actual wedding day. Our wedding day was perfect and she captured every moment! She hired a second photographer to assist for the day of. She captured a picture of us in the rain and it is amazing! Family and friends have said they’ve never seen such an amazing photo like that before. It is one of a kind. She didn’t care if she was getting soaked, she just wanted to capture the amazing moment of us kissing in the rain. Again, I have nothing but good words to say about Melissa. Everyone should want to hire her for their wedding, or any special moment!

newly enagaged couple to the day of our wedding Melissa made us feel comfortable, was always willing to answer questions and delivered AMAZING pictures that we will forever hold on to. 5 start no doubt!

She even let us include our dog in both the engagement and wedding photos. I would recommend any couple looking for a wedding photographer to use Melissa Sigler Photography! -Jess H

as many of KC's top photographers until we found just the right one. Our first (and only) meeting was with Melissa....and the rest is history. She was absolutely amazing! We both knew after just one meeting that she was the one. :) Her photos speak for themselves, but her professionalism, her genuine love for what she does, and her excitement for YOU, is what truly sets her apart. Our wedding was almost exactly one month ago, and I'm pretty sure I've looked at our wedding photos every day since. Scrolling through them today, I cried a few tears of joy. Your wedding day goes by in the blink of an eye, so being able to look back and see every emotion and detail is something truly special. If you're looking for someone that will take pictures powerful enough to make you cry months after your wedding, Melissa is your girl! 💗

th! With all of the activity and emotions I missed about half of the details that we had so carfully planned. Melissa's photographs captured every detail and all of our emotions in the most beautiful way. The best wedding planning decision I made during the whole process (other than getting to marry my husband of course!) was to hire Melissa!

ocess and did a fantastic job on our engagement photos and created a guest book for our wedding. On our wedding day she did a great job capturing all the details and keeping everything on track. Our wedding party loved how efficient she was getting everyone lined up. At the reception she had a sneak peak slide show of photos from earlier in the day that played throughout the night, it was so cool to see how amazing some of the photos had already turned out! I also loved all the candids she took throughout the day but especially at the reception. It was great seeing how our guests enjoyed the night. She was very quick getting all of our photos back to us and I can't stop looking at them!! I would recommend Melissa to anyone who wants beautiful/timeless photographs from their wedding day!

r #1 priority. She asked so many detailed questions to try & capture exactly what we wanted for our big day. She also repsonded to all my questions quickly! We had fun with Melissa & we trusted her. We were confident in her abilities to capture the most important day of our lives & she did an oustanding job. As part of our package, we had an engagement photo session, wedding photos & a wedding photo book. They were all of the highest quality & will provide us memories for a lifetime. Melissa immediately put us at ease with her customer service & her quality work. I highly recommend her for any photo needs.

ra! We could not be happier with the pictures from our wedding. Melissa truly captured the emotion and essence of the day in every shot.

wedding at Webster House before, but you could have never known it. She captured every moment of happiness and delight. Her professionalism and knowledge of lighting and angles and timing are wonderful. She caught smiles and giggles in moments I had no idea she was even there. She put the evidence of love and excitement in our wedding pictures, and that exactly what every happy bride wants. Excellent job Melissa Sigler! (And assistant Erin. )

wedding photos in September and I couldn't be happier with them. They turned out fabulous! Planning an out-of-state wedding was very stressful, but once I spoke with Melissa, this was one huge item I didn't have to worry about. Melissa was professional, accommodating, and so sweet. She captured such beautiful photos of our wedding and reception. I give her my highest recommendation and only wish we lived in the area so she could take my family's photos. Thanks, Melissa!

g you feel comfortable in front of the camera and at times, it feels like she's not even there. Her photos are unique and beautiful and always capture the mood perfectly! For our engagement photos, we wanted fall colors and she worked with us adjusting dates so we would have exactly what we wanted. Melissa took on the role of wedding coordinator and was responsive and patient with questions before the wedding. She is very organized and was able to get photos of family members who don't get along with no problem. She is not afraid to look silly or stand on railings to get the perfect angle. She danced like a monkey to get photos of my three year old nephew smiling! When we saw our wedding photos for the first time, I cried because they were so beautiful. We are forever grateful that Melissa has given us so many gorgeous photos to treasure of our wedding day. She is passionate about what she does and it shows. All of her photos are amazing!

th. My husband and I were both a bit camera shy before our engagement photos (and he hates getting his picture taken anyway), and Melissa helped us ease in to our session and made us feel comfortable so we were enjoying ourselves by the end of the day! By the time we saw her again at our wedding we were naturals! And man did she go above and beyond at out wedding. My MOH surprised me and added an extra hour of photos the night before and Melissa was available and ready to go! When I first spoke with her I told her how important it was to not only capture us on our day, but also our family and friends. She took beautiful, creative, and vibrant photos all day of everyone there, and captured the emotion of the moment in a way that exceeded my expectations. She was fun and professional with our crazy wedding party, and wasn't afraid to get into the thick of it when my husband and his band played at the end of our wedding. So basically, Melissa is wonderful. I can't stop looking through our wedding photos, and I would HIGHLY recommend her for all your wedding photo needs. You wont regret it!

dding. The second photographer that was with her on our wedding day was also great! We just received our wedding album and it will be a beautiful way to remember our special day. Highly recommend her!!

her. When we were searching for a photographer for our vow renewal, we were living in South Korea for the year and could only talk to vendors via email. Melissa, from the get go, was very responsive and informative, all while only being able to communicate via email. We were both very pleased with how professional and caring she was/is! After choosing Melissa to shoot our wedding/engagement session, we were able to schedule it all while we were still in a different country and she made the process super easy. Not only did Melissa do a fantastic job during our engagement session, but she gave us peace of mind knowing that she was going to do such a great job for our wedding! We chose to do the ala cart option for a second photographer with our package (WE ARE SO HAPPY WE DID)! Melissa and the second photographer did exactly what I had hoped they would do during our big day -- they captured the moments we did not realize we were experiencing in the moment AND they captured the moments we knew we would not remember and the moments we missed with some of our guests. Choosing Melissa was the best decision we could possibly have made ... and when we travel back home, we will definitely meet with her again for another shoot - whatever that may be! If you're looking for a photographer you can trust to capture your big day and someone who is unbelievably professional, then Melissa is your girl!! -A bride who is still on Cloud 9 with her wedding photos a month after the wedding.

th the big moments and the small, intimate moments that make up your wedding day. Her formal portraits are exquisite, but what I love most about Melissa's work is her ability to catch the natural, candid moments. She doesn't miss a thing. Melissa has a relaxed presence which made everyone feel calm and comfortable in front of the camera. Wedding day schedules can be hectic but Melissa made it stress free. She keeps things moving but can easily improvise when necessary. To me, that is an invaluable quality in a photographer. Melissa was the perfect fit for us. We couldn't be happier with our experience and we are grateful for her gorgeous work.

the wedding pictures. She is so friendly and welcoming. You can see she loves what she does and loves being apart of the big day. If you want someone who is going to give you amazing pictures and someone who you want to build a relationship with for future pictures, I would choose Melissa Sigler every time!

got them back really fast and they were beautiful! Our wedding album has very sturdy material and has very clear pictures. My only complaint is that her second shooter, that day, wasn't very kind and made a few snarky comments towards me. I just blocked her out and didn't let it ruin my day. Overall, melissa was great and I would highly recommend!

day was, and someone who could really capture that feeling. Melissa did an amazing job. We loved our engagement session photos, so I knew the wedding pictures would be lovely, and they were beautiful. I was actually amazed at the amount of pictures we got, as Melissa and her assistant were so discreet in their picture taking. Melissa has a calm and sweet personality that is a great addition to a wedding day. We would highly recommend her to other brides and grooms!

!! She exceeded my expectations and more!! If I had to do it all over again I would hire her every time. She truly captured everything that I want to be able to look back at and remember. I hardly even noticed her around us, but she was there getting creative capturing the moment!!! I will definitely use her in the future for anniversary portraits and hopefully one day our children! Thank you Melissa! I can never thank you enough.

all the feelings and details of the day, so hiring the right photographer was really important to us. Plus, I hate having my picture taken. So I was anticipating our engagement photos to feel (and look) super awkward, but Melissa made it so much fun and they turned out great! From the moment we saw our first sneak peek, we knew we would be so happy we chose her! Then she completely outdid herself with the wedding photos. In the weeks after our wedding, I had multiple people tell me that the sneak peeks she posted belonged in a magazine. Over a month later, everyone still asks who our photographer was and gushes about how beautiful the photos turned out. She is just so incredibly talented and able to capture the light and the moment in the most amazing ways. I remember thinking about little things that I hoped someone got a photo of in the weeks after the wedding, then we got all of our photos back and she didn't miss a single detail and captured everything so perfectly. It was the best day ever and I'm so happy we have the best photos ever to capture every moment of it. Melissa is also super easy going, sweet and fun, which is a nice little bonus :) It was such a great experience working with her and we will definitely use her for any future photography needs!

e. The moments and pictures she captured were absolutely breath-taking, with amazing quality. The only negative that I experienced would be, that it took a little bit of time to hear back from melissa in some instances. Overall, if you are in the need for a wedding photographer I highly recommend Melissa Sigler Photography!

journalism major in college and was extremely particular about who I wanted taking my pictures. I live in Santa Barbara, but our wedding was in KC. Melissa made time to skype me when it was most convenient for me - which meant late hours or the weekend for her. An engagement session was included in our package. It was such a great way for her to get to know us. My husband is a bit of a stickler when it comes to having his picture taken, but Melissa was patient and kind. We ended up with some great shots, but more importantly she spent time making us comfortable both around each other and herself. Prior to the wedding, Melissa made it a priority to meet with me in person and go over any photos that I really wanted to have. Beyond just being incredibly helpful, kind and patient, she takes one heck of a photograph. I would say for me personally, the most important thing was to catch the special moments. We have photos that we will cherish forever. Tom and I snuck off just very briefly after the ceremony to have a private moment to ourselves, Melissa captured that moment while being respectful of our space - In fact, I didn't even know she was there! (I was shocked and truly over the moon when I saw she had a picture of our private kiss!!) She makes everyone feel comfortable and at ease. Something I kept telling Melissa before the wedding was that I really wanted everyone to look comfortable. So often you look at wedding photos and people look stiff and awkward and not themselves - It was the happiest day of my life and Melissa made sure our photos reflected the entire day.

ater I was stunned! She caught the emotions behind every picture perfectly...in a way that took me back to the exact moment. I loved every picture!!

She's awesome, I would highly recommend Melissa Sigler Photography!

loved the photobooth and we got digital copies of all of the photobooth pictures -- so fun to look through them all! While her photography isn't cheap, you get what you pay for. I will forever cherish these pictures and have not regretted for am moment using her to capture such an important day.

phy is pricey these days, but Melissa seemed "worth it". She also has a photo booth that we rented, so those photos are also ours to keep, and they are gems we will never let go of! :)

edule. Melissa is very personable and easy to work with! She has a wonderful way of telling a story with her photography and we relived our day with the video she created. She's amazing!! I just cannot express how pleased we are with our wedding photos. I love pictures and creating memories and Melissa did just that! We LOVE every single picture that Melissa captured of our day and all of the little details that we will treasure for a lifetime. We truly cannot say thank you enough!

were everything we wanted and more! It was so fun reliving our wedding day through the photos that Melissa captured. The quality was great, the colors and lighting turned out perfectly. She was very accommodating and easy to work with. She did everything we wanted and more. I would highly recommend using Melissa and am so thankful we used her!

t shots. We also rented the photobooth she has and yet again, not only were the props hilarious and the booth easy to use, she kept it open for extra time so our guests were able to have fun. The quality of shots they got are outstanding. I highly recommend her services!

iscuss what we wanted in both our engagement and wedding photos. Melissa and her team captured every moment and detail of our day; from the cupcakes, our candy table, to our signature cocktails, we will remember all of our special touches... thanks to her! She is organized, thoughtful, and most importantly EXTREMELY TALENTED! I highly recommend Melissa Sigler Photography! We will continue to use her for all of our future photography needs!

special. All my friends and family love how our pictures turned out.

with! Our pictures were absolutely perfect. She figured out what our vision was and what we wanted and made our photos more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. If you get the chance, hire this wonderful photographer!!
