You get what you pay for is true. While Melo Photography did always respond to my questions, the photographer they selected for my event was largely absent in the planning phase (...
there was ZERO communication from him and we had to reach out days before the wedding) and completely disengaged at the event itself. There are literally no bride ~ groom photos from which to choose. In fact, most couple images had only the back of the bride. He did nothing to "set up" any shots with background or organization of the people in the photos. I appreciate candid photos, but not when the faces are scowling or munching on food. I'm saddened by the lack of care because even "affordable" photographers charge excessive amounts these days. I think with Melo Photography it is definitely a "hit or miss" situation. We missed :(

e was getting ready saying “I see you”. Already creeping her out from the jump. A few mins later he proceeded to yell and argue with my mom who was helping the bride get ready and insisted that “he would do it because he knows how he wants her to look. If this is not enough, he made fun of my brother’s big nose then told him to not to worry that he can “photoshop it to make it look normal”. To continue, while eating dinner, he was looking at the pictures he took during the wedding and zooming in on my now wife’s chest. Not only am I embarrassed at this is the photographer who I will remember at my wedding, but that this company does not vet the staff they are sending out.

We explained what we were looking for upfront (a year before our wedding when we booked them!) and they delivered literally EXACTLY what we wanted just a number of months after our big day! Seriously we did not have to have them edit anything at all because it was done so well the very first time, just from listening to our asks. That was super impressive to us! They are great at what they do and they're wonderful at listening to their customers wants and needs.
We had Jason as our main videographer for the entire day and Alan was there for part of our day. We're so glad we went with two videographers for several hours to ensure all of the big, most important moments were fully captured! Both men were so talented, very nice, and even brought some much welcomed humor to our day!
We would 100% choose byDesign again and we are sooo happy with the films we have to watch and cherish forever!

Their films are authentic, beautiful, high quality, and diverse. There are many different packages to choose from to work with your budget and everyone I spoke with from day one of inquiring was kind, approachable and very easy to communicate with. I was a very particular bride, and the videographers and editors delivered actually what I wanted, down the the filter of the highlight film. were very warm and friendly, and made us feel comfortable that they were going to capture our special weekend exactly how we wanted it. Our wedding party mentioned over and over again how impressive the production value of our videography was. The videographers knew exactly how they wanted to shoot our event, and listened to all of our ideas and incorporated what was important us.
Our byDesign coordinator, Vanessa Walden, was incredible in making sure that our video turned out exactly how we wanted it. We were stunned by how cinematic and beautiful our highlight film and full-length video were. During the entire process, she kept us in the loop, gave us a vast library of songs to choose from for our films, and most importantly, implemented any changes that we wanted to our films before we shared them with friends and family.
Could not have been happier with our decision to have byDesign shoot our wedding!

day! Among the vendors we researched and spoke with, they offered everything we were looking for for the most reasonable price. Though we never met in person until the day of the wedding, communication was so simple, easy, and quick. When we finally did meet our videographers the day of the wedding, they were very friendly and again easy to talk to and work with. They worked real well with our photographer which was so important because I know how it can be difficult when the two get in each other’s way. The videos were delivered in a timely manner and were better than we could have hoped for. Though behind the scenes it seemed like a chaotic day, the videos made it seem like everything was effortless and smooth. They captured all of the right moments and we look forward to looking back on this day years from now.

me I watch it. Michael, our videographer did an amazing job capturing the moments that meant the most to us. He did not miss a beat capturing every meaningful event! He also told Savannah our video editor which songs meant something during our wedding day and she used them to create an amazing video. When I first found byDesign Vanessa, was the first person to reach out to me. She really cared about what my vision was for our wedding video and helped make it a reality! She did a wonderful job helping me plan the time line and make sure the video was exactly what I wanted! I was blown away by byDesign and I am so grateful they created such an amazing video for my husband and I to watch over and over again through the years to come!
