I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel like I should share my experience to hopefully save another bride the stress I went through.
If wedding photos are important to... you, I would strongly recommend investing in an experienced wedding photographer instead of choosing a company like this because of the lower price. Unfortunately, I learned that the hard way.
One of my biggest concerns was that I wasn’t put in contact with my photographers until the day of my wedding, and I was never given a portfolio or examples of their work beforehand. Looking back, that should have been a red flag.
On the wedding day, it felt like the photographers lacked wedding experience. I found myself directing them, suggesting poses, and reminding them of important shots that should have been captured. As a bride, that’s the last thing you should have to worry about.
When I received my gallery, I was heartbroken. Many of the images were heavily over-edited with excessive contrast and editing that didn’t feel natural. On top of that, many of the compositions were disappointing. So many of our photos had flowers, trees, or other objects blocking parts of the image, and very few of the portraits were clean, centered, or thoughtfully framed. It felt like very little attention was paid to composition.
One of the most disappointing examples was my wedding dress photos. Instead of using the stunning scenery and beautiful venue we had chosen, they hung my dress on a garage with dirty kayaks in the background. It was such a missed opportunity when there were countless beautiful locations just steps away.
They also didn’t select the best images from many of the moments they delivered, often choosing photos where there were much better options. After expressing my concerns, I asked to see the unedited gallery so I could view all of the images. I was initially told it would cost an additional $250 just to receive the unedited photos. It wasn’t until I sent multiple examples showing exactly why I was unhappy with the editing and image selections that they agreed to provide the unedited gallery at no additional cost.
I’m genuinely not someone who complains or leaves bad reviews. I’m sharing this because I wish someone had told me before I booked. Wedding photos are one of the only things you have forever after your day is over, and you only get one chance to capture those moments. If your budget allows, I truly recommend spending the extra money on an experienced photographer whose work you’ve seen beforehand. It can save you a lot of disappointment and heartache.
