Melodious Strings provides a wide array of string ensemble types, including soloists, duets, trios, quartets, quintets, and even small string chamber orchestras! We provide high quality string ensemble music and custom plans and packages for weddings and other special events. Our musicians are extremely reliable, rigorously trained, and professional. We also arrange the pieces you love (pop, rock, new age, Celtic, movies, etc.) for the string ensemble of your choice. Our company has also been added to multiple preferred vendors lists at a variety of venues, including Black Horse Inn in Warrenton, VA, Eastwood Retreat in Warrenton, VA, Pippin Hill & Vineyards in North Garden, VA, the Oatlands Historic House & Gardens in Leesburg, VA, and Thomas Jefferson's historic home, Monticello.

They did an excellent job performing at our wedding! They were very responsive and helpful as we tried to narrow down which songs we wanted, which was intimidating at first but was made more amenable by their kind correspondence. They also very kindly learned a non-Western, Filipino song that my mom requested and they played it perfectly during our ceremony. Couldn't have asked for a better quartet and would 1000% recommend!

We couldn't have been happier with the string quartet's performance at our wedding. From the start, they were incredibly responsive and displayed the utmost professionalism. Their musical talents were absolutely amazing, filling our day with beautiful melodies. What truly set them apart was their vast repertoire of songs they could play. It was this impressive selection that initially drew us to them. When we requested a unique song, the Succession theme song, they exceeded all expectations. The quartet brought a unique and captivating ambiance to our special day, elevating it to another level. Their contribution added a touch of magic that we will always cherish and remember fondly. We couldn't have asked for a better musical experience, and we're immensely grateful for their part in making our day truly exceptional.

We loved having Melodious Strings at our wedding! They made the ceremony feel so elegant, and we loved that they had a large repertoire of songs for us to choose from. They even learned a couple new songs for our ceremony, which meant so much to us! Katherine was very communicative throughout the planning process, and we appreciated her quick responses and keeping us in the loop with everything! If you're looking for a string quartet for your wedding, definitely book a date with Melodious Strings! You'll be so glad you did!

Working with Katherine and her team at Melodious Strings was wonderful! We were a bit tricky being an international couple and having to reschedule due to restrictions but Katherine was so understanding of everything. The process was really enjoyable, easy, and their repertoire list is incredible. It was the most beautiful soundtrack to our day with music during welcome drinks, before/during/after the ceremony, and all through cocktail hour. The music for the ceremony had everyone feeling all the good emotions - it was so perfect. A truly professional, incredibly talented team that went above and beyond for us!

Melodious Strings was perfection start to finish. They were very communicative when we reached out for our wedding to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour. The range of songs was so much fun to choose from and a classical take on today's songs. They even learned a new song (The Princess Appears from Star Wars) for my procession down the aisle. Couldn't recommend more!

Melodious Strings was incredible to work with from the planning process of our ceremony and cocktail hour to execution the day of! They sounded beautiful and our guests enjoyed them so much. We wish we could have another wedding just to use them again. Highly recommend this group to all couples!

Jamie, from Melodious strings performed the music for my ceremony and cocktail hour. She did an amazing job! She learned 3 specific songs that I wanted included in my ceremony and they did an amazing job choosing music that would be fitting during cocktail hour. Melodious Strings were a delight to work with, and were very flexible with all of our date changed due to Covid! I am so glad we went with live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and I’m extremely please we went with Melodious Strings as well.

I can't recommend Melodious Strings enough. Kate was so organized, professional, prompt, and accommodating in all of her communication leading up to our wedding ceremony. I didn't have strong music preferences for our ceremony, but I knew I wanted a solo violinist to play classical music, including Pachelbel's Canon in D for my processional. With the roughly 5000 wedding-related decisions I needed to make, I really appreciated the thorough, user-friendly questionnaire Kate sent out and that there were options to request certain kinds of music instead of specific songs. It saved me a lot of time. Additionally, Kate confirmed every last details to set Jamie, the day-of solo violinist, up to meet our expectations. Jamie did an incredible job, and I would recommend both of them and Melodious Strings without reservation. Thank you, Jamie and Kate!

Melodious Strings did a fantastic job with the music at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour! They play beautiful music and it was such a nice touch to the wedding. What was also great about them is that they have a wide variety of songs in their repertoire from classical all the way to contemporary! Furthermore, Kate was so great and easy to work with throughout the planning phase. I highly recommend Melodious Strings to all brides out there!

We used Melodious Strings for a string trio at our wedding and they added such a beautiful, unique touch to our ceremony and cocktail hour. They also can play anything! From classical to Bruno Mars, they did an amazing job. I would definitely hire them again.

I heard Kate play at one of my bridesmaid’s wedding and was so impressed that this was the first vendor I booked for my wedding! I booked their string quartet for our garden ceremony and outdoor cocktail hour. Kate was fabulous to work with along the way. She responded to my emails immediately, and always let me know when she received a payment. I had very specific song choices for our ceremony music, and the execution of the pieces was absolute perfection. We also gave them suggestions for the cocktail hour, and there was nothing that they couldn’t play. It seems as though if you ask for something, they can play it! Guests commented on how lovely the music was, especially during the cocktail hour. Having the string quartet as part of our wedding really added to the elegance factor that we wanted. If you are looking for live musicians for your wedding, I highly recommend working with this talented group!

I'll be honest, as the bride you don't really hear the music because all you can do is stare at your about to be husband and ignore everything around you. But, I got compliments from a ton of people who were watching the ceremony! They were a pleasure to work with and were a great price. They collaborated with me and answered all my questions to create the playlist for the ceremony. I highly recommend them!
