Hi! My name is Melody, and I'm a wedding photographer whose style is light, bright, and colorful, with a big focus on non-awkward, flattering poses! Natural light photography is my specialty. I’m also LGBTQ+ inclusive, body positive, and here to make you feel absolutely awesome about yourself.
If you're anything like me, getting your picture taken can be a nerve-wracking experience! What do I do with my hands? My face? Does my neck look weird?!
Never fear! My specialty is helping you feel comfortable and actually enjoy having your picture taken. How do I do that? Here's 3 ways:
1. I come prepared with tons of flattering, easy, non-awkward poses that I'll walk you through step by step. I will tell you exactly what to do with your hands, don't worry!
2. I provide lots of (truthful) encouragement and positive vibes! I will be your hype woman, tell you how fantastic you look, and then prove to you that it's true.
3. Lighting, baby! I'm going to put you in the most beautiful, creamy, erases-all-your-flaws and makes-your-skin-glow natural light.

Hi! I'm so happy to see you here. My name's Melody. I was born and raised in Tennessee, and in 2015 I migrated north to Michigan.
My journey to photography began in film school. After that, I gained experience working on projects for The Weather Channel, the Detroit Medical Center, and HGTV. For the past 5 years, I've been using the skills I learned in directing, editing, and cinematography to direct hundreds of photoshoots! Photographing a wedding is a lot like filming a movie - there's tons of little details, lots of moving parts, and a story being told from beginning to end!
