If you want joyful, happy wedding pictures from a photographer who makes you feel confident and comfortable, PLEASE book Melody. I do not like having my photo taken, and was resigned to the experience because it was our wedding. Enter Melody. She made it so easy to be photographed and didn't leave me hanging not knowing what to do with my hand or my face or anything. She is so kind, she listens to you, and she takes great photos. I can't imagine anyone else doing what Melody did for us, in regard to actual gorgeous photos (and all I have seen is the sneak peek!) and making both of us awkward goobers feel good in front of the lens.
We are so happy we chose Melody to photograph our wedding! From the booking, first meeting, to the time line planning Melody was very communicative and easy to work with. On the actual day she was fun and made us feel at ease while having our photos taken. Melody struck a great balance between giving us directions and allowing natural moments. She managed to keep a laid back vibe but also kept us on schedule and made sure we all hit our marks. We are grateful she was there to capture such an important day in our lives.

Hi! My name is Melody, and I'm a wedding photographer whose style is bright and true to color, with a big focus on non-awkward, flattering poses! Natural light photography is my specialty. I’m also LGBTQ+ inclusive, body positive, and here to make you feel absolutely awesome about yourself.

1. I come prepared with tons of flattering, easy, non-awkward poses that I'll walk you through step by step. I will tell you exactly what to do with your hands, don't worry!
2. I provide lots of (truthful) encouragement and positive vibes! I will be your hype woman, tell you how fantastic you look, and then prove to you that it's true.
3. Lighting, baby! I'm going to put you in the most beautiful, creamy, erases-all-your-flaws and makes-your-skin-glow natural light.

Hi! I'm so happy to see you here. My name's Melody. I was born and raised in Tennessee, and in 2015 I migrated north to Michigan.
My journey to photography began in film school. After that, I gained experience working on projects for The Weather Channel, the Detroit Medical Center, and HGTV. Since 2016, I've been using the skills I learned in directing, editing, and cinematography to direct hundreds of photoshoots! Photographing a wedding is a lot like filming a movie - there's tons of little details, lots of moving parts, and a story being told from beginning to end!
