after finding myself dissatisfied with several other makeup artists that I met with. Wedding makeup is not something you should settle on…I reached out to many Milwaukee makeup artists and had trials with three other artists before signing my contract with Melody. I felt one million times better after the makeup application that Melody did compared to the others, I hugged her after my trial with joy & relief! She is extremely talented, knowledgeable, kind and she listens to what you want. She went above and beyond to help me with a skin issue I had, she sent paragraphs of suggestions to help me... and may I add they all worked! This girl knows what she's doing. I also want to mention that it seems like everyone tells you to do airbrush makeup ("it will make your skin flawless! It will stay on all day!") and honestly I thought it made my skin look dry, patchy and blah at my other trials with different artists. I am so thankful that Melody educated me on other options other than airbrush. I loved the natural, healthy glow my skin had and it looked flawless and stayed on all day & night! All of the bridesmaids also agreed it was the best makeup application ever! One has even booked a spa appointment with Melody and is driving in from out of town to see her. I also have had the pleasure of visiting Melody's spa for a facial. I was quite nervous as my skin is very reactive and I have a lot of allergies. The fact that Melody does not use airbrush foundation was a major plus, because your skin actually still feels like your skin! Not only was my skin in better condition for the wedding, but I also feel so much better about my skin every day as she helped me get into a healthy skin care routine. A couple months before my wedding we did a makeup trial, and while it was gorgeous, it was just a little more dramatic than I was picturing (which is the whole point of a trial!) -- Melody completely understood and on the day of the wedding made me look better than I could have imagined, very natural and yet still dressed up and bridal. The wedding morning had a couple hiccups, but Melody remained positive, flexible, and helpful and made all of my bridesmaids and mom look absolutely gorgeous. Everyone who had their makeup done has different styles, and they all raved about how great they felt and what an excellent job Melody did. It was a warm July day, and there was plenty of laughing, crying, dancing, and sweating done by everyone -- at the end of the night, all of our makeup still looked flawless. She is so easy to get along with and was a pleasure to have around on the big day. Before the wedding, I went to Melody for a few facials and dermaplaning in the months leading up to the wedding. I had never had a facial or anything of the sort before, and I'm so glad I decided to try it out. Again, Melody made me feel comfortable throughout each visit and it definitely paid off to have healthy skin on my wedding day.
