The venue coordinator was missing during prep but we pulled it together well with their excitement seeing Black Iris for the first time, we delayed start for some important guests. I loved her family & bridal party even carrying her grandmother’s comfy shoes in my work bag so she could change after Processional. Such a celebration!

adies starting to plan a wedding. Wedding planning is exciting but can be complicated. Unfortunately, the reviewer distorted facts. This reviewer thought I removed her post but instead, the truth is that’s the dispute process. The Knot removed it while I provided them email chains & screen shots of my contracted services reply, contract, and messaging with the reviewer & the venue. The Knot determined the accuracy of my situation removing her review. But the reviewer resubmitted under a different email. So here we are waiting for a second evaluation of my factual records. As in any business, you work to share details of contracted services and try to smooth anxious situations. Brides are looking for the right deals, maybe the bride has family & friends giving too many opinions, find themselves adapting their original plans, and so much more. But that’s also why you hire great wedding professionals because they have experience & can help guide you, as a matter of fact, month of the wedding Julia emailed asked for tips on writing their own vows. All wedding professionals get unusual requests. They decide how to charge with things outside scope of work. I made several edits to the script options provided. I got bogged down transcribing a TikTok video she wanted read. I could have charged for the additional effort, or replied she could do it & send me the text work to be included, but I did it rather than causing her any consternation. We live in a different time of how some people speak to one another and tact is important as well as boundaries. I’ve never encountered this behavior in ten years and consecutive years of awards. I’m sorry but now that it’s been taken to this level, I will stand up for my business with the hundreds & hundreds of couples I’ve been lucky enough to have great relationships with. If I said something once, I didn’t repeatedly—there would be no need to. I said the quality of my services are the same whether ceremony is at Scottish Rite or Owl Ridge; but an example of reviewer’s distortions is her review says ‘saying she treats her clients equally no matter what type of venue they’re at.’ There was a venue issue with rehearsal not being the night before but instead, it was agreed I would arrive a couple hours early to provide continuity individually with bride & groom since they didn’t want to see each other. However, the reviewer then asks me about coming to rehearsal dinner at a restaurant and do rehearsal there. My reply was the venue coordinator said a rehearsal in the owner’s restaurant would not be possible. I told her I wanted her to have a beautiful wedding and to think about it a couple of days and to let me know. Yes, she fired me the next day but her explanations are not what happened. Funny thing is reviewer refers to this saying ‘ I had asked if she would be attending the rehearsal dinner the night before and she said no, acknowledging that we had the on-site rehearsal the morning of the wedding’ which is not only not correct reason nor in chronological order— previously asked me and I declined the first time saying she didn’t need to have my meal expense and note there was no discussion of a rehearsal and as discussion continued, she didn’t know there was a difference in rehearsal vs rehearsal dinner. Simple facts to my vendor professional friends - Take care of your clients but also your business on calendar for 2025 & 2026. In this case, there’s more to the situation of a reviewer that was not scammed, nor insulted and for my effort of caring for their ceremony, the reviewer created stress which was apparently too much. Life & wedding planning can be hard but please be fair & honest.

were this perfect machine. I even received some great photos last night & enjoyed a chat with the photography team. I know Mariah would have preferred the service outdoors but the venue was wonderful either way. Blessings to this couple.
