Nile was hands down the best videographer we could have asked for. From the beginning, he made an authentic effort to get to know my husband and I as a couple and as individuals. He is extremely organized and met with us multiple times to ensure he knew everything needed to support us on our wedding day. When the day came around, his calm demeanor was very soothing and helped us stay in the moment. He went above and beyond in every possible way and even stayed past his contracted time because we were running behind schedule and he knew we’d want footage of our first dances, which was so kind of him to do. The turnaround for our highlight reel was only a few days and was absolutely mesmerizing. The way he captured the magic of the day was truly phenomenal and beyond anything we had hoped for, and we were so happy to have an artifact delivered so soon after the wedding. We even requested additional video packages because we were so impressed with his work and how he told the story of our day! This says a lot because originally we were on the fence about hiring a videographer at all. Above all, it was really important to us that our vendors be LGBTQ-friendly, especially our photographer and videographer who would be working with our wedding party, and Nile was so inclusive and great at working with every single one of our loved ones. If you are looking for a someone you can trust to capture your day beautifully, look no further.

What sets him apart isn't just his exceptional videography skills (although he has that in spades!) - it's his thoughtful approach to the entire process, which, as we learned, starts long before a camera gets turned on. Before our celebration, he invested considerable time in understanding our vision and provided invaluable guidance on how to capture the best possible footage. This included meetings, timeline suggestions, and how we can make the most of his skills to capture the most optimal footage. He really took time to understand the vision we had for documenting our celebration.
On the day of our event, Nile's calm and grounding presence was exactly what we needed. He has this remarkable ability to be everywhere while remaining unobtrusive, capturing authentic moments without disrupting their natural flow. His experience and ability to read the room allowed him to anticipate and capture meaningful moments that might have otherwise been missed.
The final edited content tells our story beautifully - creating a chronicle of our celebration that we'll treasure and share for years to come. Nile at Mendocino Photo and Video is an exceptional videographer, and we'd recommend him to anyone and everyone looking to capture their special day. We called on him only a month prior to getting married because we had some family who could no longer make it, and he made it so easy to work together, even with only 30 days to make it happen. He didn't skip any corners, he met with us to understand our needs and wants on the day, and to just learn more about us as a couple. He's got high EQ and that was huge for us.
On the day Nile and his team were absolute professionals in every sense. They struck a great balance between being everywhere to capture all the special moments, while not at all making it feel overbearing or too much. We enlisted Mendocino Photo & Video to video a large post-wedding celebration at our home as we already had an intimate destination wedding two weeks prior. The challenge was to capture our moment without the benefit of a ceremony. Nile did an excellent job telling our story with various interviews and his expertise shines in the most precious moments. We are amazed how he captured it all and our video tells an emotional story filled with joy. We would definitely hire him again and the finished product went above and beyond our expectations. He sent us multiple videos to get our input before the Final Cut. It was so easy working with him and we absolutely love our video!

I had the privilege to work alongside Mendocino Photo & Video as an officiant. Immediately, there was something unique and special about Nile's approach. He managed to manage the shots ensuring his ability to capture the perfect moments while not disrupting the flow of the service and the natural interactions of the couple and guests. This created a level of authenticity that seems to be missing from most wedding videos with the high quality scenes you would expect from a professional videographer.

One of the best vendors we booked for our wedding was Mendocino Photo and Video! We weren't sure if we were going to have a videographer at our wedding, but now it is the most cherished item we have taken away from the day. Mendocino Photo & Video went beyond our expectations to create a video that reflected the true essence of our wedding day. He pieced together the content into a truly genuine and awesome storyline that will be cherished by us forever.
It was a big decision to not spend more money on an expensive multi-hour professional photography package, but to shift more than half that budget for a wedding video from the amazing Nile at Mendocino photography.
But my wife and I are so happy we did! The video was the best investment we could have made to memorialize our wedding. The eight minute video he did brings that magical date back to life time and time again, in full, love-drenched color! So much more so than still photos could.
Nile is a master at interviewing members of the wedding party, the bride and groom, closest family, and then editing the very best, most insightful comments, with great music, speeches, vows and special, gorgeous moments, in a manner that told our love story beautifully.
Our wedding video was super easy to share with family and friends, and convey, to dear ones unable to attend, what was experienced there.
Now we, our loved ones, and our descendants, will have a time machine to remember the most fabulous event of our lives! Thank you Nile!
Mendocino Photo and Video was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Nile was our videographer for our Mendocino wedding and did an amazing job capturing the event. Nile met with us early on in the process and walked us through his style and vision for capturing the event while also incorporating all of our feedback and goals for the video footage. We really enjoyed Nile's vibe and he made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. The end result was beautiful - we felt like we were right back there on our magical wedding day and also got to see many extra details that we didn't get to fully experience during the chaos of the day, especially the heartfelt video messages from our best friends. Nile made our special day a fairy tale. He met with us prior to the wedding to get to know us, who we are as individuals and who we are as a couple. He did that so he could get a glimpse of what we would like and see our day through our eyes and I believe that is one of the reasons he did such a great job. He did a phenomenal job at our wedding and after. He is very professional but also kind and it shows through his work. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer/videographer. I will be seeking him out for future photo/ video ideas.
Nile was really thorough and a joy to work with for our wedding in September. He met with us beforehand and went over every detail and gave his advice based on what we were considering. He then also arrived at our venue early to scout the best places and went above and beyond to help us with everything and prepare with us all the timeline and photo details beforehand. We also really appreciated how calm and unrushed everything felt while getting our photos done, he made it a really enjoyable and stress-free experience. The pictures came out beautifully - our venue was heavily shaded in the redwoods forest so not necessarily the easiest to capture, but he did so great! We are so happy we had him document our wedding and capture a piece of our magical day.
Nile at Mendocino Photo was amazing! The videos we received were perfect and something my wife and I will cherish for a lifetime. The artistry of the angles and shots are second to none. He was able to capture words for our friends and family to interlace them with the video which was very special.
