We had such a great experience buying and renting with Men's Wearhouse. My husband walked in without an appointment and had the opportunity to talk to a gentleman at the Annapolis,...
MD location about what he was looking for in a wedding suit. The young man whipped out several options for him and we ended up walking out with a suit that same day. He also help us set up an online group where we could pick a suit, tie and shoes that the groomsmen could rent their suits through. All the boys had to do was go in and get sized at their local store, and then set a pick-up date and location. This process made it so easy and stress free for all the guys to look their best on wedding day. Thank you Men's Wearhouse!
My husband and I got married in May 2019. We decided we wanted to buy suits from Men’s Wearhouse for the groom, groomsman, and fathers. The staff was helpful in helping us select o...
ur suit pieces but our complements end there. The Men’s Wearhouse staff consists of unqualified people that seem to have never organized a wedding party suits in their life. Not only did they mix up multiple suits, alter the wrong suit for the wrong person, and absolutely ruin 3 suits, but then they tried to blame us. They said that the groomsman must have gained weight (they actually had lost weight) and that were going to need to pay to fix. After arguing with all the staff, the Manager Amy, agreed to replace the ruined suits at no cost. But their mistakes did not end there. When my husband went to is final fitting on his suit, they had altered his pants incorrectly and hadn’t even touched the jacket. Again the manger Amy had to step in and get the issues resolved. Then they gave the wrong suits to two of our grooms men. We were able to get that corrected fairly easy but you can image how much stress Men’s Wearhouse had already added to the wedding planning process. And guess what, the problems didn’t stop there. Silly me, I decided I wanted to rent vests for the groom and the groomsmen. I gave them the names of everyone that would need vests and asked if I could pay for all them all up front. Again, the unqualified staff members were not capable of something as simple as this. Instead of 5 vests, somehow they had me down for 7 vests because they repeated my husband three times. Once with is legal first name as a groomsman, once with his nickname as a groomsman, and once with his nickname as the groom. When I discovered this issue, it took weeks and hours on the phone arguing with staff to get it corrected. During this process they mention the vest wouldn’t be ready for pick up until two days (Thursday) before the (Saturday) wedding. I explained to them that the wedding was out of town and I would need them by Wednesday night. They staff member on the phone assured me that it would be possible. However, surprise surprise Wednesday before my wedding came and I called Men’s Wearhouse to see what time they would be ready. Staff member kindly told me on the phone that rentals are only delivered on Thursday. I then got the manager, Amy, on the phone to see if we could resolve the issue. She apologized that a staff member promised me something that was not possible but there was nothing she could do but have the vest ready for us by closing on Thursday. I then explained my concern that with all the issues we have had with Men’s Wearhouse, I was worried the vest would not be ready in time, as everyone would be out of time by Friday morning. Amy assured me that the vest would arrive on time. And guess what, Thursday morning came and the truck with all the vests was delayed. I will give Amy credit because she did everything in her power to have another set of vests sent to our venue and refunded us. Long story short, do not use Men’s Wearhouse. They will add so much extra work and stress to your wedding planning as well as charging an insane amount of money for the low-quality work.
We used Men’s Wearhouse for our groom and groomsmen tuxedo rentals and unfortunately the experience was nothing but stressful. We had asked a manager to change the groomsmen shirt...
s from white to ivory in plenty of time before the wedding but the change was never made (only a note was left). My brother discovered the error and made arrangements for ivory shirts to be overnighted to the MW location closest to our venue. The next day, he found out the shirts had been incorrectly sent all over the region to 5 different MW locations. Again, shirts had to be overnighted and sent to a single location. He picked up the shirts with the understanding we would have an extra day to return the tuxedos. When the best man returned his, he received an earful from two rude employees about how his return was late and he had to pay. He referenced the experience we had and the arrangement we made with another location’s manager. Thankfully he didn’t have to pay, but received attitude. I wouldn’t recommend working with MW for this reason, though I know other weddings haven’t had an issue.
I worked with the Waldorf, MD location and they were able to fit all my needs for my menswear. The men's clothing fit perfectly and they were comfortable all night. I was even able...
to get he father's suits there.
I went to the Men's Wearhouse at Metro Center after scheduling an appointment for a groom try on. When I got there, there were two people working and no one greeted me or asked if ...
I had an appointment. When someone finally acknowledged us, I said we had an appointment and they didn't seem to care. We explained we were there to find suits for the groom and the groomsmen and they didn't seem to care. They didn't ask anything about the wedding, or what colors we wanted, they just stuck the groom in a try on, while waiting on other customers. He came out and waited. And the person at the desk insisted I fill out some paperwork so they could collect our information. Once it was tried on she didn't really seem to know what to do, and had no suggestions about what other sizes might fit better. She asked which of the available suits we wanted to try on and we liked on we'd have to order, so she tried to charge us $50 nonrefundable to order it. We eventually gave up and went to Sarno and Son instead, where it was cheaper and the staff treated us respectfully and asked all of the right questions. A month after the wedding and I'm still getting calls from Men's Wearhouse asking if I'd like to schedule a try on. These are horribly unprofessional people and they're just not worth wasting your time with. They have no experience and no consideration for the customer.
Pleasure to work with for my wedding. The staff at the F Street location were great. We had a great experience.
So we went with Men's Wearhouse because it is very practical, pretty easy and the groomsmen and groom all had matching suits without having to buy them! However they have old style...
. I was not in love at all with any of their suites, no slim suits and pretty old looking vests, old style tie options (and not many options black or light grey) and the shoes are just not ok. If they had more up to date style they could be amazing!!
But like I said they do provide suits in all states, the groomsmen went got theirs and left it in DC and they all had to the same so organization wise it really helps!
