My groomsmen rented from Men's Warehouse for our September wedding. Picking out the tuxes was really easy and the staff was helpful with style tips. The groomsmen said the process was really smooth on their end and everything fit well! Also super affordable!
If we could give negative stars we definitely would. Their service doesn't even warrant a 1 star. We would recommend to avoid Men's Wearhouse at all costs.
My husband and I used Men's Wearhouse in Grand Chute and Grafton. The communication amongst both was horrible, one store would tell us one thing and the other something different. Everyone was fitted/ordered prior to the deadline. The pick up time was 3 days prior to our wedding. Out of our 6 reservations, 5 suits didn’t fit and were stained in multiple spots. The bride's father's suit jacket was too large and had multiple large stains. The groom’s father’s suit did not fit at all and had to be completely reordered. The staff was not confident it would be here for our wedding. The staff at Grafton said they would hand deliver it on the wedding day by 11am, if it was available. Therefore he had to drive an hour to Grafton and back on the wedding day to pick up all of the reorders. 3 of the groomsman suits were either too small or too large and had to be reordered. With only 3 days to reorder, we were lucky the suits even made it on time for our wedding. And thankfully the groom's father ran to pick up the orders.
After we returned the suits we brought up our concerns to the Grand Chute location with all of the issues that occurred. We were told that the day manager would speak with the location manager for a resolution and get back to us. A week passed so, we called the customer service line to see if there was an update, because the Grand Chute location wouldn't answer. They came to a resolution that all the reservations would get 50% off due to all of the issues and caused stress on our wedding day. We were told they would be issued in 2-5 days. 5 days passed and no one received their refund. Called again to see why the refund was not issued. Was told it was due to the way our wedding party paid and they said they would issue a check and mail it. 4 days passed and there is no check in the mail, called back to see what the hold up is and was told we should have them in hand already and nothing they can do on their end and it will be 21+ days for the checks because they were having issues on their end.
The communication amongst their so called customer service and stores/managers is horrendous. Nothing but lies and talking to different people that have no clue what is going on.
I'm assuming they are hoping we would just forget about all of the issues and the refund.
Unfortunately, we would never recommend using Men’s Wearhouse for your wedding or prom. Or for any of your suit needs. Stay away from them unless you want unnecessary stress and just a hassle.
*Will update review as everything gets fully resolved.
Both my husband and his Brother-in-Law opted to get custom suits made at Men’s Wearhouse. The process was smooth, and even when a mistake was made with sizing on my husband’s suit, it was resolved quickly and fit great. He loves his custom tag inside the suit the most.
Men's Wearhouse was great for tux rentals for my wedding because several members of the wedding party were out of state & Men's Wearhouse has so many locations. However, their prices are a bit high & the staff in Milwaukee was not the best. Also, their website was constantly down & not working.
(Green Bay location) This place is terrible and we would have cancelled and gone somewhere else after our first experience with them if there was another company that worked nationwide (we had two groomsmen a few hours away and one several states away). Our first trip to the store left a bit to be desired. The guy that “helped” us didn’t really know a lot about what he was doing and couldn’t answer some of our questions. He showed us one suit which looked fine and then asked about our colors. He showed us one purple vest and said that was pretty much our only option so we went with that. After we left, I realized that he had never shown us any ties so I checked our account on the website and found out the tie that went with that vest was striped. We did not want striped ties so we had to make another appointment. The next guy was a lot more helpful than the first one. We ended up changing the vest so we could get a matching tie that wasn’t striped. Then, a couple weeks before our wedding we still hadn’t heard from them so we called asking when the suits would be in. They said they wouldn’t be in until the week of the wedding and that they would call us. We never got a call. They apparently called 2 of the groomsmen but nobody else. We only found out the suit was in (the Thursday before our wedding) because one of the groomsman told us they had called him. We went in to try on the suit and make sure everything was ok. Of course there was a clip missing on the pants. My husband only told them about it so he wouldn’t get charged for it but they insisted on ordering a replacement pair. We asked if we could keep the broken pair just in case the replacements didn’t come in time but they wouldn’t let us. So now on the Thursday before our wedding, we were left wondering if the groom was going to have pants. The replacements did end up coming in on Friday so at least that went right. A couple of our groomsmen also had issues with their tuxes that had to be fixed as well. On our wedding day, my husband had an issue with his shirt that kept coming untucked from his pants because it was too short. He kept his jacket on most of the night to hide it. Then, when we thought we were finally done with this place, our groomsman who was dropping off my husband’s suit called while he was there saying the store was trying to tell him there should be 2 pairs of pants in the bag. Seriously? It took them a bit but they eventually figured out that we didn’t have 2 pairs of pants and let it go. I am so glad to be done with that place and I hope we never have to deal with them again.
Most tuxes needed to be resized when picked up. We were called multiple times about two groomsmen who needed sizing, but were sized and paid. No sense of personal experience. When I called with a concern they didn't bother to ask my name, and every phone call was very short as if my business was bothersome. Poor hospitality. Overall, suits looked nice though.
Our wedding party was spread out pretty good around Wisconsin and Washington. We did suit separates rather than tuxedo rentals as it was going to be a better value and much more comfortable for all the guys involved.
My brother in Seattle WA had the hardest time when the salesperson refused to fit him properly or find an outfit that didn't make him look like an idiot. My brother is 6' + and they had him in a standard vest when he clearly needed a longline vest so his shirt wouldn't poof out from under it when he was standing normally. They said they didn't have one, when I knew for a fact that wasn't true- they just refused to order the vest from the warehouse for him.
I had to call them personally and raise a stink before they did the research and ordered him a tall version and exchange for the short option he had purchased.
We also had a groomsman who was put into an improperly cut vest and it took him multiple visits and a tailor telling him it was wrong before he was fitted properly.
We had no problems at the location we went to in Brookfield. We worked with Robert Theurer and we were very happy- it took me a while to warm up to him as he's very direct and pushy sometimes, but after a while we understood where he was coming from and he managed to help us find an amazing outfit for my groom.
We went a little more on the expensive side with the designer, but the entire wedding party was 50% off for all their purchases and everyone looked great and were probably more comfortable than they would have been in tuxes.
The tuxes were excellent and all the right size! We had been in two previous weddings using a local shop where every tux was wrong. Great place!
