Everyone told me to use the Men's Wearhouse for the tuxedos for our wedding. While it was logistically the most simple (locations all over the place), it turned out to be an absolute nightmare. Most of the groomsmen’s tuxedos were incorrect at pickup or ordered incorrectly. The best man’s pants were too short and jacket was 6 sizes too large. Even the grooms garments were incorrect!!! Everyone had to iron everything, some shoes were scuffed and the worst - the father of the groom’s shirt had multiple holes in it. While it might be a convenient and affordable option, it's not worth the risk. Truly. We also felt very judged at the time of selecting the tuxedos - the groom, father of the groom and step-father of the bride all wore black suits while the groomsmen were all in dark gray. They looked beautiful on the day of but the salesman questioned us multiple times at the time of order. We didn’t appreciate much about our experience at Men’s Wearhouse. The groom's items came from South Jersey Philly suburbs, but the groomsmen were across the state - some by the shore, others up north and the rest central Jersey. All were disappointed in everything but the return ease.
We chose Men's Wearhouse because we had members of the bridal party and family who do not live locally. Everyone was able to go and size themselves for their suits and make adjustments up until a few weeks before the wedding. The suits were a beautiful blue color and were exactly what my husband wanted. Drop off the following day was easy and efficient.
They honestly didn't have too many options and were pretty pricey. We chose them mainly because we had groomsmen in different states so this was the most convenient.
We used Men's Wearhouse for our wedding primarily because our wedding party is located across the US and we were trying to accommodate the different locations. Three days before the wedding, they did not have a tux for the groom because they "forgot to press confirm" when we went in 6 months earlier; they messed up the colors for the bridesmen and the groomsmen so they were wearing different color reds; they provided skinny pants for some of the men who ordered regular pants so that the men's legs were unable to fit in the pants; they provided regular pants for some of the men who ordered skinny pants so that the men looked like children; they ordered a shoe size that was one size too small for my father; they provided skinny jackets for men who ordered regular jackets; they require you to return the tux between 11 and 3pm the day following the wedding and they only allow you to pick up the tux 2 days in advance, so if you need to travel, you will be charged for picking it up early.
Overall their tux shirts are of terrible quality, their service is unaccommodating, they consistently make errors and if we could go back in time we would absolutely use a different vendor because they magnified the anxiety and tension during an already extremely stressful time.
If you are looking for a seamless experience for finding your groom's and groomsmen attire for your big day, I would HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere. At the end of the day, my groom & the groomsmen all looked great and everything worked out, however that came at a price -- not necessarily $$, but there was a lot of back & forth, poor customer service, and not to mention added stress to the already long to-do list otherwise known as wedding planning. I won't write the laundry list of the hiccups during the planning process, but to sum it up, Men's wearhouse was a headache to work with rather than a helpful vendor.
I was really disappointed when I found out the day before our wedding that my husband's groomsmen had the wrong color suits. They were all supposed to wear charcoal, and somehow ended up with black. My husband was the only one with charcoal, so ultimately I decided to just let it be, rather than have him drive an hour up the road the morning of our wedding to change his suit to black. Honestly, our day was so perfect that nothing could have ruined it, and it didn't even bother me that the groomsmen had the wrong suits. But still, I just don't understand how a screw up like that happens. The guys all got their money back, which is nice, and thankfully I am not a very high-maintenance bride, but it was still upsetting and I would never in a million years recommend Men's Warehouse to anybody.
We had an unfortunately terrible experience with Men's Warehouse...TWICE: for our wedding and then a friend's wedding just a few week's later. Not one of the groomsmen's (or groom's) tuxedos was correct the first time around. Items were mixed up, sizes were wrong, everything you could think of. The groom and the boys in the wedding party had to drive back and forth to different stores looking for different pieces and sizes. Caused a lot of stress for us and our wedding party just HOURS before the wedding (because they don't allow you to pick anything up until a day or two beforehand). Yes, it's wonderful that they had the David's Bridal colors to match the bridesmaid's dresses and at the end of the day, they looked good next to each other...not sure if I'd use Men's Warehouse again.
Men's Warehouse was the perfect fit for the guys in our wedding. Their tuxes were perfect for the guys and the people in the store made it easy for everyone in the bridal party.
Everyone was very helpful and made the process of ordering tuxs for the wedding party as easy as possible. Everything was ready when promised or earlier!
If you go there, make sure Robert, aka Roberto, is there;
excellent Fashion Consultant. He turned a "potential disaster" into the "icing on the cake".
