I'm not surprised that the Houston location wasn't found on vendors on this website. I would be too embarrassed to include these locations on the Knot as well. I don't know where to begin with how terrible this company is. But for the sake of all of you out there I hope my pain can help prevent yours.
TL;DR DON'T BOOK HERE!!!
For those of you with reading glasses on here we go:
This vendor had been booked because the color scheme matches that of David's Bridal. Don't bother, just have mismatched colors and make your life easy.
My husband had groomsmen from all over the city and all over the country. Each one having a worse experience than the last, the pinnacle being with the groom himself! Each time we spoke to one of the groomsmen leading up to the wedding we had been hearing nightmare stories of how people were being handled in the stores from unrelated weddings. They make everyone go get measured but this is really for no reason. I think every single groomsmen and a couple other tuxes all had something wrong with them. I'm not really sure why they bothered measuring anyone since everyone needed to come back into the store to get refitted for their attire. We are not talking off by an inch or two, some of the groomsmen pants were off by 5-6 inches. The ring bearer had to wear a shirt that didn't fit over his belly and he is 5 years old so it's not like he needed a big shirt. Now for the groom himself. He was never notified of his tux arrival (along with about half of the groomsmen) so he went in to get fitted. The tux looked absolutely terrible. We had picked the most expensive tux possible and it looked worse than each of the groomsmen's tuxes. After about 45 minutes of arguing with multiple workers trying to explain to us that because it's the most expensive tux it has more material so that big thick hemline in the middle of your shin they eventually ordered another pant for us. These pants arrived the day of the wedding and were a complete waste of time. These were also not tapered and still had the huge hemline again. Same argument again. Same response of the groom that the groomsmen should not look better than the groom and that all of their pants looked correct. Then at the end we had previously told them we needed to return late and they had agreed to this they gave the groom hell when he tried to return this suit late.
The customer service was absolutely terrible. This company was an absolute terror.
Do whatever you can do avoid them.
I'm sure this wasn't everything but I hope it's enough to avoid the company.
The groomsmen from around the country also had terrible experiences this is not just a Houston thing!
My husband, the groomsmen, my father and our ring bearers all looked great. I didn't hear of any problems. Everyone was ready on time and had well-fitting clothes. My husband had a really easy simple experience at the Men's Wearhouse at Sunset Valley in Austin. Would recommend!
The only reason Men's Wearhouse is getting one star as oppose to none is because ultimately the groomsmen looked great. That almost didn't happen though - the best man's tux jacket and shirt were the wrong sizes all together, and the groom's pants were more like capris when he initially tried them on. Men's Wearhouse never called to let the groomsmen know the tuxes were ready as they said they would , but thankfully the Best Man called ahead and went in two days before the wedding to pick it up, which allowed Men's Wearhouse time to reorder the right sizes and have them in prior to the wedding. Given our wedding was outside of Austin, had we not figured out their mistake with extra time to spare, we would have been screwed.
Men's Wearhouse's prices are not better than anyone elses, so I highly recommend going elsewhere for your tux rental needs. They are not worth the headache.
Men's Wearhouse was great. They helped find the right suit and tie for the occassion, and even helped my groomsmen in a different state get the dress shirts they needed. Overall, great job.
We had groomsmen from all over the country. Men's wearhouse was able to accommodate this and have all the men fitted in their home states. They were ready two days prior to the wedding and looked fantastic.
The staff was professional and helped us make the right choices for the looks we wanted. We bought two custom suits (one for the wedding, one for evening dining on the honeymoon) and tuxedo accessories. It was short notice but they were able to rush the order to get everything done in time. It fit perfectly. My husband was very impressed with the quality and the variety they had at the store. I loved the price. We worked with several staff members who assisted us and gave us practical solutions to our needs. They were very honest and helpful.
Men's Wearhouse is pretty straightforward in terms of quality and price, as they are pretty popular. However, I'd like to say that the service at the San Antonio, Tx, store was excellent! My wedding took place in NJ, and the San Antonio office made sure the groom and groomsmen had proper alterations finished before the suits arrived in NJ, still allowing time for last-minute alterations, which were then completed at the NJ store. The staff was easy to work with, and listened to what we wanted and stuck with our budget. Would definitely return.
My Husband and his groomsmen looked super handsome in their gray Calvin Klein Tuxes. The service was unbeatable and was easily and graciously accomadating to our out-of-town groomsmen as well :)
Over 50% of my bridal party's tuxes did not fit at pick up time. My fathers would not be available until two days later which happened to be the day of the wedding. THe other tux was picked up again on Friday and still did not fit. My wedding was hours away from the nearest mens warehouse so on the day of the wedding we needed to drive to pick up the tuxes and just pray that they all actually fit. The grooms tux was poorly fit and was loose and very baggy on him. It is evident in every wedding picture we have. I complained to the corporate office and after hours and hours and two weeks later we received a full refund on all of the problem tuxes. I am grateful we did not have to pay for the awful experience, however, I would never use them again. I would pay the little bit of extra money and go somewhere else.
