We could not recommend Mercantile Hall enough!! This venue is our favorite place. We toured the venue before we were even engaged, knowing the craziness of the wedding industry right now, and we fell in love the moment we walked through the doors. Every staff member we met was welcoming and warm, clearly loving the work they do. We booked immediately, and our wedding planning journey would not have been as smooth as it was without their help. We went with the middle level coordinator package, and I would absolutely recommend this as well. We worked with Stephanie, and she ensured every detail was curated to perfection. She knew our entire bridal party and parents (20 people) by name, made sure there was never an empty glass amongst us all, kept my husband and I fed and clear from any hiccups, and made us feel like the most special people with her love and attention. On our wedding day, the entire staff gave this same energy. They were warm and kind to our guests, and had the perfect mix of blending into the background while also enjoying themselves and the party. Our day was PERFECT, and it would not have been possible without Mercantile and their staff. We love you, Merc!
We went with Merc Sound because we trusted the Mercantile Hall staff, and we were SO happy with this decision!! We met with DJ Terry first, who spent time getting to know us as a couple, our vision for the day, and the soundtrack to all our important moments. We filled out a detailed workbook, and then he matched us with one of their DJs who fit our vision best. We were matched with DJ Levi, who was super upbeat and really understood our vision of the day. We knew we were in good hands! On the morning of our wedding, we got the news that DJ Levi had a family emergency, but DJ Gray (Nathan) would be stepping in. The DJs had met and spent time going over everything to make our day happen, and the transition couldn’t have been smoother. Nathan checked in with us often to make sure everything was right and key details were being hit. When the dance floor opened, he had a perfect blend of our wants and his creative and professional input. As the bride, he really let me run the show, and we came up with hand signals I could give him from the dance floor so he knew if I wanted a song skipped, to move on, or keep it going longer than the minute thirty timestamp rule we had given. Our dance floor was full all night, and we have Merc Sound to thank for that!

Mercantile Hall was the most dreamy, perfect place for our winter wedding! The staff were incredibly accommodating and allowed our visions to come to life. The space is absolutely divine and fit our ~150 guests perfectly. We especially enjoyed the lighting, gallery wall, and our hot chocolate bar outside at night! Nicole was a super star and helped bring everything together in a seamless fashion. She was supportive and provided so much love to my husband and I. My wedding was the best day of my love and Mercantile Hall served such a massive role in that! Thank you!

We got married at Mercantile Hall on 11/24/2024! We can’t recommend them enough! They made our wedding day the best day ever!
The Merc Team has been so supportive from the beginning to the end! We had some hard times getting back to wedding planning after my husband’s mother passed earlier in the year and the Merc Team was right there supporting us with whatever we needed. They helped us create a beautiful memorial for her on the wedding day. ❤️
I cannot recommend their coordinator packages enough! The coordinator packages are worth every penny, and Stephanie, who stepped in as our coordinator within the last month or so, was a true dream to work with! She answered all of the questions I had and made my wedding vision come true. The in person meetings we had were always filled with laughter and definitely put my mind at ease through the planning process. It was nice to be able to discuss my vision and have their input on things. Stephanie did so much for us not just during the planning process but also the day of. She helped come up with a way to hang one of our pictures that was heavier than expected, made beautiful arrangements with extra items we had and even became a spontaneous seamstress when I needed her most!
My bridesmaids and I loved the getting ready suite upstairs! It is a beautiful space, especially to take pictures and has tons of natural lighting! It was also very convenient to get ready there and have a big space to put all of our belongings and hang our dresses. Mercantile also has other add ons and in-house services that just make the day even more magnificent! We had the fire pit and s’mores and the hot chocolate! It was all so wonderful and made the day even better!
The day of team was also a wonder to work with! I went down the morning of to thank them all for helping on the day and they were all so kind calling me a beautiful bride and congratulating us on our joyous day! They really helped make our vision a dream come true! We also used Merc Sound for our DJ, and Preston (DJ Alto) delivered a fun experience for all!
In general, Mercantile Hall is a beautiful venue that we keep getting compliments on. It’s spacious but also gives an intimate vibe as well. The Merc Team made us feel like family and we are so happy we went with this venue!

If I had to do it all over again I would choose Mercantile Hall EVERY time! Not only is it a beautiful venue but everyone there is so amazing to work with. I thank everyone there but especially Destiny who was my coordinator. She went above and beyond what I ever thought I needed or wanted in a coordinator. She was so incredibly helpful for this type B bride who had no idea what she was doing! If you're on the fence about the coordinator package, do it! The extra meetings you get are so worth it and they set up your wedding beautifully. Can't forget the bartenders... I heard nothing but the highest praise for our bartenders throughout the night and even the weeks after our wedding. They were fast, nice, fun and made sure everyone was well taken care of! I can't say enough about this venue. They truly made my wedding day the day of my dreams ❤️

We got married at Mercantile Hall on 9/21/24 and cannot recommend them enough! We had both our ceremony and reception there and guests loved that they didn't have to travel from one place to another. We used their DJ service and LOVED DJ Levi. He did an excellent job at playing music that we suggested while keeping the dance floor full and making appropriate announcements as needed. We got the coordinator package through Merc and had Nicole as our day of coordinator. She was seriously the best through every step of the way including the in person and phone meetings we had with her throughout the planning process and all of the emails and questions that we had along the way. On the day of, they set up the venue exactly how I imagined it and everything was so beautiful. The bartenders and all of the other staff were also so amazing. Everything went perfect and I thank the Mercantile Hall team for that. Their communication and professionalism was 10/10.

We got married at Mercantile Hall 08.30.24! It was everything I wanted and more! Each and every person we got to work with was so thoughtful and insightful and made my day 100x easier than I thought it would be. My coordinator, Stephanie, took all my boxes of decor and even a box of random stuff I liked but didn’t know where to put it to use and turned my wedding into exactly what I was envisioning! Everyone went above and beyond down to creating my little brother a new boutonniere with my extra flowers because his was lost, and allowing me to use a welcome sign stand because mine wasn’t working! As the bride they really make sure the day is about you and there isn’t anything to do besides get married so we were getting drinks brought to us while we were eating, anything I needed to be held or to find they’d do it, answering my 100 questions an hour, and more! My coordinator also spoke to all my vendors and figured things out as needed which was such a stress reliever. I received SO many compliments on the venue choice and multiple people said it’s one of their favorite wedding locations they’ve ever been which is such a great compliment!! If you’re debating between The Merc and somewhere else you should 110% choose Merc!

I cannot put into words how perfect Mercantile Hall was for our wedding ceremony in August. A majority of the venues in our area were too outdoorsy for us and/or were a barn which was not what we were looking for. Mercantile Hall was the perfect blend of rustic, industrial, vintage aesthetics and it's nestled in the cutest small downtown. All of the staff we worked with went above and beyond our expectations. Stephanie, Jess, Levi, Eric to name just a few. We purchased the Premier Coordinator package and it was well worth the price! Our coordinator Stephanie had our decor displayed beautifully and kept the day running smoothly. Eric and the night shift team had everything packed up and ready to be picked up the next morning (part of the premier coordinator package). All in all they really gave us the perfect day and I am so grateful for Mercantile Hall and staff!

We got married at Mercantile Hall in July of 2024. This was the only venue that my husband and I toured. We knew instantly that it was a perfect match. We cannot compliment all of the staff at Mercantile Hall enough for helping us make our wedding dreams come to life.
The venue is intimate yet spacious. Even with the minimalistic decor that my husband and I chose, the Urb Garden and indoor reception space was absolutely stunning. Every corner of this venue lends to beautiful photography. Our coordinator was so attentive and helpful, putting me and my husband at ease on the day of the wedding. Nicole made our vision come to life and ensured that the day ran smoothly.
The add ons that my husband and I chose made the day extra special. From the bridal suite upstairs for my bridesmaids and myself to comfortably get ready in, to the outdoor camper bar, to having access to the bag boards and s’mores pit at the end of the night- no detail is overlooked and you and your guests are sure to have an unforgettable experience.

We had our wedding back in March 2024 and mercantile hall was our venue. They were amazing!! We couldn’t have picked a better venue. All the staff was super nice and helpful, the communication was always on point, highly recommend getting the day of coordinator package (made our day go super smooth and stress free) Dj listen to our request and had everyone dancing , signature drinks were delicious and just how we wanted them!
Our guest can’t stop talk ing about how comfortable and how much fun they had.

We had an amazing wedding day at Mercantile Hall! The venue is gorgeous with it’s brick accents, lighting, amazing outdoor space, and much more. They offer various decorations to personalize the space to make it feel even more special for you on your wedding day. We loved that our guests could stay inside and show off their dance moves or go outside for a quieter environment. All of the staff at Mercantile are so helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have while going through the wedding planning process. We had a perfect day and definitely would recommend Mercantile Hall to any future couples to celebrate their love!!!

We recently got married at Mercantile Hall and our vision of our wedding was able to be completed here. It is a nontraditional wedding venue and allows you to really be flexible in what you want. We chose an outside ceremony which it turned out to be a beautiful perfect day and worked out beautifully. We also chose to have a heavy app "dinner", and not have guests in assigned seats - just an open flow which turned out fantastic. Mercantile Hall was extremely accommodating for this request and we greatly appreciated it.
The venue is stunning and you can keep your decor to the minimal side, which is really nice. However, if you do choose this venue I highly recommend Gertrude and Evelyn - Susan was so wonderful to work with, had really reasonable prices and she does the set up and take down!
Mercantile Hall also offered great partners for food (we chose Tuscan which was OUTSTANDING) and offered a lot of great idea's like flowermoxie for doing our own flowers, pizza partners in town etc.
We also had an open bar, and although it was a little pricey - by a lot of these other options (limited decor, great food partners, doing my own flowers) we were able to fit it into our budget. The in house staff was excellent the day of and so accommodating.
I did not have a wedding planner or day of coordinator and did it on my own with my best friend and groom and it did go smoothly.
My only feedback was the in-house DJ which is why this didn't get a 5 star. There seemed to be no communication or review of what our plan was prior to the day of. We had an hour meeting about exactly what we wanted prior with the manager of the team, we also filled out a workbook, excel spreadsheet of exactly what we wanted and did not want and a word document and provided it to the team and the day of I was stuck answering very simple questions that were all laid out in those documents. While he was super nice and easy to work with - I thought for the price we paid for the in house DJ to play was extensive, I would have just created my own playlist and played it for what ended up happening.
BUT it doesn't take away from how wonderful the venue truly is, I would just consider not doing the in house option.

My Husband and I got married at Mercantile Hall this past May and we adored every minute of it. We knew immediately after taking a tour that it was our venue. In fact, we wanted to get married at Merc. so bad, that we booked it before being officially engaged. We have received more compliments about the venue than you could imagine both during and since the wedding.
10/10 recommend getting the day of coordinator package. Racheal was our coordinator and I was blown away!! When I saw all of the decor set up, it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. She was there for us every step of the way and responded to any questions we had in a timely manner. Racheal literally only had to ask me one question the whole wedding, otherwise she took care of everything and did it so seamlessly. Mercantile Hall staff also cleaned up all of our decor which is priceless. They even took care to wrap all of my vases and package everything so it wouldn’t get damaged on the way home. Trust me when I say that you NEED to get married here!

We had our wedding at Mercantile Hall this past May. It was such a great experience! The venue is beautiful inside and out. All staff that we worked with was so helpful and really made the planning process and wedding day fun and as stress free as possible. Our event manager was Nicole and she was sooo nice! We just had a baby in March and she gave us a diamond ring shaped rattle and a Just Married bib for the baby! So cute!! All in all this venue is amazing and beautiful and I can’t recommend it enough!

Mercantile Hall was so amazing to work with throughout this whole process! Every staff member was so helpful in their role to make our wedding day so much easier. We had Racheal as our day of coordinator and Levi as our DJ through Merc Sound and they were both amazing and flexible with us all day. The location of Mercantile Hall is perfect with many photo op spots in and around the venue, a lot of parking for all of your guests, and many hotels/short term rentals to stay at that are just blocks away from the venue. We have nothing but great things to say about the venue and their staff for helping make our day amazing.

The Mercantile was the best venue. They were so sweet, helpful and very professional! Through out the whole process you can call or email with any questions and they were so fast to answer. Along with that they always had an answer. I loved all of there energy’s! The venue in its self was absolutely beautiful. They had extra like a disco ball if you wanted that extra decor, they also had more add on you could choose from. I would truly pick this venue over and over for my wedding! So a big thanks to the Mercantile Hall for making our dream vision come to life. It truly was a magical day!

I can guarantee you that having your wedding at Mercantile Hall will be nothing short of perfection. From the day you tour to the day you walk down the aisle, Mercantile Hall is there for you every step of the way to help and customize it for you. Our coordinator, Racheal, took out so much of the typical stress of wedding planning and helped the day of go absolutely flawless, handling communication with vendors, setting up all of our decoration, and making sure everyone was where they needed to be. I knew I wanted to have our wedding at Mercantile Hall as soon as I found it on Google. The style of the venue is what caught my attention. We chose to have a micro wedding. The event managers were extremely professional and response time was always great. The only thing I would note is that the space for an indoor ceremony isn’t huge, but it was perfect for our smaller wedding (around 70 people). We are super happy that we chose this venue and would highly recommend it!

We got married October 2023 and it was the most perfect day. Mercantile Hall was the second venue we toured and we booked it the next day. The indoor and outdoor spaces are just amazing! It made for beautiful pictures and we are so thankful we found this space! Also super thankful for Destiny who was our coordinator and helped us every step of the way by answering all my questions and giving awesome vendor recommendations! We LOVED Mercantile Hall! It was the first and only venue we toured. We fell in love with it and knew it was the only venue we wanted. It is beyond beautiful! We used their coordinate package and Destiny was our coordinator. She was truly amazing and made our wedding truly special. I loved that with their coordinator package they handle all the set up and clean up at the end of the night. It was pretty expensive but well worth it in my opinion.

We got married this September at Mercantile. I truly don't even know where to begin, but you MUST put this on your venue list to come see. I'm so thankful for The Knot for recommending Mercantile. As soon as I went to their Instagram, I was intrigued, and then their website. I immediately fell in love with Suzanna from the pictures! My first impressions of Mercantile started before we even went on our tour. They sent us a confirmation the day of and told us where to park. If that was any indication of how well their communication is, I was impressed. Destiny was our tour guide, and then we were able to have her as our day-of coordinator, which she was FANTASTIC at! Halfway through the tour, I knew this is where I could picture getting married! It's the perfect space for an intimate wedding! The communication throughout the year was phenomenal, and any questions I had for Destiny, she answered all of them in a timely manner! She was so helpful! I loved all of the add-on options as well, which I know they've expanded since we toured. I loved that they were upfront about the cost of things and payments throughout the year! I'm so glad we added on the Bridal Suite - it's stunning and such a great room to have the entire day! Mercantile just really makes your life easier when it comes to planning a wedding! Our wedding still feels like a dream, and I cannot thank Mercantile enough for being so wonderful. Mercantile is a hidden gem! It was better than we could've ever imagined!

My husband and i got married at Mercantile Hall this past weekend and we could not be happier. We had a situation come up earlier in the year where we needed to rework everything we already had planned with our wedding, and as soon as i toured Mercantile Hall, i knew this was the place we had to get married at.
Racheal was our event coordinator and she was WONDERFUL! She communicated so well, answered all of my millions of questions, and made my vision come to life the day of better than i could have imagined.
The way Mercantile operates made everything run so smoothly. I had SO MANY friends and family who are already married to make sure you scarf your food down cause you will barely eat that day and the day will go by in a flash, but i truly did not feel that was the case. My husband and i got our full meal, dessert, and even drinks. The venue is so beautiful and especially at night! I wish i could relive the day all over again.
I could go on forever about how much i loved Mercantile Hall, as well as the experience of getting married here! I promise you wont regret it 😊

I had my October 2023 wedding at Mercantile Hall & it was perfect! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, so well maintained and it has so many cute touches and details. Our coordinator, Destiny, was incredible! She was there for every step of the way with us & our day wouldn’t have been as amazing without her. She was professional, organized, & went above & beyond in so many ways! Every staff member was helpful & committed to making it a great day. I had my wedding this summer at the Mercantile Hall and would highly recommend them as a wedding venue. I planned my wedding from out of state and their coordinators were very easy to communicate with and flexible with my schedule when I was in town for additional tours and meetings. The venue is absolutely stunning and very thoughtfully laid out. It easily held our 125 guests without feeling cramped. The indoor space is beautiful with the old brick and wood; there are lots of options for customizing the interior to make it personalized to you. The outdoor space was my favorite and was perfect for our ceremony. The venue is also near several parks and other great photo spots for you and your bridal party. Their fees were on the higher side for venues that I looked into but they were transparent about pricing upfront (ie let you know about their service fees and minimums or if something was an upgraded cost - there were no surprise add on fees). With that being said, the Mercantile Hall team was excellent, professional, and made sure everything that day ran smoothly. We utilized their coordinator package, getting ready suite, bartender w/ Susana rental, and DJ; this really streamlined the planning process and all of them did an excellent job.

Mercantile Hall is the perfect place to get married. It is unique, has so much character, and affordable compared to surrounding areas. The venue itself is beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures online. But what really made our experience incredible was our Event Manager Destiny. I can’t tell you how easy she made the wedding planning process for us. My favorite part about working with Destiny was her extremely fast communication and organization. She responds to your questions quickly so you’re not sitting around waiting on answers. The planning process was straight forward, easy to follow, and clear. We are still getting compliments to this day about how beautiful our venue was. I would recommend Mercantile Hall to everyone! 10/10 experience.

We had an amazing experience with Mercantile Hall and are so happy we decided to have our wedding here! The venue itself is stunning and has so much character. We loved that it was indoor/outdoor and the new upstairs bridal suite was perfect for getting ready. The price-point is very fair and we loved the a la carte nature of the pricing and add-ons because you can really build out the wedding that makes the most sense for you. The staff was caring, thoughtful, attentive, and helpful at every step of the planning process. We decided to take advantage of their Coordinator package, which made everything so easy. Racheal did an amazing job helping us to bring our vision to life and answered every little question and email quickly and thoroughly. The Merc Team did all of the set up and tear down for us, so we got to just show up and enjoy the entirety of our day. They gave us super helpful tools to plan on what needed to be done and when. They sent reminders throughout the process. We also took advantage of their assigned in-house DJ, which felt like a gamble at first, but they took the time to answer all of our questions and make us feel comfortable with the process. Finally, we loved that all of our vendors knew each other and were able to refer each other making us trust our team wholeheartedly. We had our dream wedding and would 100% recommend booking your wedding at the Mercantile Hall!

Mercantile Hall made for the most magical and romantic wedding, even in the middle of winter. The venue was flexible and accommodating especially given it was a last minute wedding due to family health concerns. We loved having the ceremony and reception in one place with such ease. And again, I cant stresa how accommodating the staff and venue was which helped make our wedding feel unique and so memorable. The venue was also conveniently located for our guests mainly residing in WI and IL, with a hotel, bars and restaurants within walking distance, making it a nice getaway for guests. Burlington is such a charming city and such a perfect wedding village with hair and makeup, caterers, bakery and more all in the area. We stayed at the beautiful Mart Apt which made getting ready, taking photos, and hosting friends and family so easy. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

We loved working with Mercantile Hall! We booked one of their coordinator packages as well and got to have Destiny Palachek as our wedding coordinator. She was amazing, extremely helpful and honest through the entire process. She was super sweet and personable and was quick to reply with any questions we had. Even if you don’t get to work with Destiny, I highly recommend using one of their coordinators for your big day. We also used their Dj services and I was also very pleased with this. I was a little hesitant since you aren’t allowed any meetings with the Dj but the music was great. He played all the music we were looking to hear! Kept up with the vibe of the guests on the dance floor. Overall we loved the hall itself, and the entire mercantile team. Everyone there was super helpful and nice. It was an amazing experience for our special day!

From the moment we set foot in Mercantile Hall, we knew it was the place we were meant to be married. The team was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with our endless questions and requests. They work well as a team to cover each other to ensure all of our questions were answers and our needs were met. We got married in October at Mercantile hall and had our ceremony outside. The venue was the perfect size and aesthetic for our 150 guest wedding and the day went perfectly. The Mercantile Team has weddings down to a science! Once we gave a set up plan to the team, they were incredibly efficient in getting it done without needing my guidance and they utilized their knowledge and skill to set up in the most aesthetic and efficient way possible. We did not have to take down our decorations after the wedding and everything was packed neatly and efficiently for us to pick up the following morning. Our wedding coordinator Amy, went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect and she felt like family by the time the day came. She collaborated with all of our vendors to take a lot of the work off of our plates and was incredibly knowledgeable in all the processes involved in planning a wedding. The experience was absolutely perfect and there wasn't a single moment I felt stressed. Mercantile was worth every penny, and we also fell in love wit Downtown Burlington and visit frequently! The only thing I feel like I missed out on is the bridal sweet that just opened upstairs! I would have loved to utilize that extra perk and think its such a great idea that they created it! Mercantile Was the best venue we could have asked for and we felt like family through the whole process of planning our wedding!

Mercantile Hall is such a beautiful wedding venue and we loved getting married there! We were able to get married outside but they were so flexible about the changing weather which really helped my anxiety that day. Our coordinator, Racheal, was the best I could imagine and she made the whole day so smooth and was always a step ahead in dealing with all of our other vendors. We just loved this venue and everyone who helped us out with our big day! Our wedding coordinator, Destiny, was fantastic! She made sure we got to have our ceremony outdoors (which was huge for us), always made sure we had fresh drinks, and made sure the night ran seamlessly. Our guests loved the indoor/outdoor capability of this venue and thought the camper bar was the sweetest touch! We had the best night dancing away with our friends and family!

We are so happy that we picked Mercantile Hall for our wedding venue! We started wedding planning right when the pandemic started and did a tour of the space via zoom and LOVED it! Even over the computer screen we could tell how special this space was. The day of the wedding our coordinator Stephanie made sure everything ran as smooth as possible. We also loved that they had a bar package and an in-house DJ (Merc Sound) which made planning so much easier. It was a one-stop shop for all our wedding needs! We had our ceremony outside in the urb garden and used Susanna for cocktail hour, which our guests loved. It was the perfect space to celebrate our love and would recommend this venue to anyone getting married!
We loved working with Mercantile Hall while planning our wedding! From the second we stepped foot in the venue, the staff made us feel SO special and important. They asked us what we wanted, how we envisioned our wedding day, and provided us with time to get a feel for the environment while touring.
All the logistics were spelled out, crystal clear. There were no hidden fees or extra costs. Communication was via email with reminders as to when payments were due. Merc has an online account that is used to help organize all payments, layout of the venue, guest lists, etc. which I LOVED, as a type A bride! Throughout our year of planning, I knew no matter what I could call Nicole, our coordinator, and she would happily answer my questions.
On our big day, Nicole was there to help with everything. It made us both feel so confident knowing the coordinator we planned our day with would also be there on our wedding day. She helped with the decorations, the schedule, and extra details going above and beyond!
Mercantile Hall made our wedding day so magical. From the first consultation to the last song on our wedding night - the mercantile hall team made us feel so special, almost like family! They made planning a wedding so fun and easy!
I can't say enough about Mercantile Hall! We got engaged in August of 2019 and picked our date of August 2021. Throughout all of the craziness of COVID, when I'm sure that they had a million other issues/things to think about, Mercantile kept in contact with us and ensured that we felt comfortable with any questions that we had. From the beginning, Stephanie and her team were the obvious choice for us - their energy, their support, and the overall style of the venue were a no brainer for us. I am so glad we made that choice. Our guests were so impressed by the intimate feeling of the space, the romantic vibe of the reception, and the service that Stephanie provided as our coordinator (we did opt in for the coordinator package - so worth it in my opinion!). Stephanie seamlessly corralled our large wedding party, rolled with the punches on the day of, and made the day essentially stress-free. The whole experience made me want to get married again and again! :)
Mercantile Hall is a beautiful venue that perfectly fit our style of modern and industrial. The staff is wonderful to work with, and remained flexible even through our COVID postponement. We had both our ceremony and reception here, and are very glad we made the decision of Mercantile Hall as our venue, and highly recommend it to others!
We truly cannot say enough positive things! Mercantile Hall is such an incredible venue. They have stunning outdoor and indoor options for weddings, and have the most accommodating and professional staff members. Stephanie made our dreams come true and eased any questions we had before and during our wedding day. We continue to get compliments from our guests how responsive the staff was throughout our event and how beautiful the venue is. We would undoubtedly recommend Merc to any prospective couples. It’s so good that we truly hope to host a milestone anniversary there in the future!
Mercantile was the most beautiful venue I have ever seen! When we stepped foot in the hall I knew I had to have my wedding there. Stephanie was so great to work with, she was so helpful and really pulled everything together for us the day of the wedding. She made the day feel seamless and easy. This small town, industrial chic venue was everything I could wanted and the vibe of Mercantile is unmatchable.
We made the decision to alter our wedding plans after postponing our wedding date twice already. I stumbled on Mercantile Hall online and they had the date we needed available. It was very serendipitous as the look & feel of the venue was what I always dreamed: light & airy, exposed brick, industrial lighting, outdoor space. The staff was super accommodating, especially the day of. They made everything go so smoothly. I truly never felt like there were any problems or hiccups throughout the entire day and night. I would recommend this venue to any bride looking for an elegant loft style venue in the middle of a charming small town!
Getting married at Mercantile Hall was an absolute dream come true. The second I stepped through Mercantile Hall's doors (and met our coordinator Stephanie) I knew I was right at home! The venue was absolutely stunning, and Stephanie was the sweetest, most calming coordinator a bride could ask for! In just 3 months, Stephanie helped us plan our entire wedding from start to finish; we could not have pulled it off without her!
On wedding day, we moved our ceremony inside due to weather, and yet again, Stephanie and the Mercantile Team handled the transition effortlessly. Our indoor ceremony was so personal and intimate; our guests couldn't believe that wasn't the plan all along! The entire night went better than we could have ever imagined. I cannot thank Mercantile Hall enough for giving us the most perfect wedding day!
We moved our venue from West Loop Chicago to Burlington. This venue knocked it out of the park. The small town feel made the location feel way more intimate. You could walk with your formal clothes on to the venue. It was that close. The cute coffee houses and bakery's were walking distance also. We used the park behind the hotel on the river for a farewell party the day after. That was walking distance also. The staff at the venue was incredible. They helped us replan our wedding so quickly. Meghan went above and beyond to help us. Andrew the owner also did. It was the best decision ever to move it out of Chicago. We would have had to pay $65 overnight parking. Also a lodging and a city tax. You need to figure all that in. It adds about $100 a night more to your room tax. The mock tail drinks were actually pretty. The Urb garden was so cute with the camper bar. I could go on and on.
Even through all the craziness of COVID, Mercantile Hall helped us pull off the most perfect reception. We worked with Meghan and she went above and beyond. She was so so helpful and always so positive. I literally cannot say enough positive things about Merc. The venue is incredible and the staff is fantastic. All of our guests raved about how neat of a place it is. Such a great experience. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing.

I was fortunate enough to get married at Mercantile this past January and in was an absolute dream come true! I fell in love when I saw it online and knew it was going to be my venue. When I saw it in person it took my breath away, it’s gorgeous with such a warm and inviting feeling. The city of Burlington is such a cute town and will forever hold a place in my heart. Meghan was my saving grace so many times throughout the planning process, she was always so reassuring when responding to my multiple, overlapping emails. She’s also so fun to be around and hilarious to boot! Everyone at Mercantile is amazing, they will go above and beyond to make your day everything you’ve ever wanted, including shoveling The Urb Garden hours before the ceremony. I love this place so much I only wish I could get married every weekend, I would not have changed a thing!

What can I say about the Mercantile Hall, except that is it the most gorgeous venue with an amazing staff. My (now) husband and I had a short engagement, 7 months, and we were so excited that the Mercantile was available. As soon we walked into the venue, we looked at each other and knew that this was the place that we wanted to get married. The Urb garden was not even built yet, but as Stephanie described what it would look like upon completion, we knew that it was going to be spectacular and it was! Stephanie Heft was our wedding coordinator and she was amazing! She worked so closely with us to ensure that the vision of our wedding came to life. You always have an idea of what your wedding day will look like, and my wedding at the Mercantile was even better than what that picture looked like! I cannot tell you how many compliments that we have received about how beautiful our wedding was as well as the space.
Just had my wedding here last weekend and 10/10 would recommend! The place is so unique and pretty. It gives off a warm, welcoming vibe. It rained on the wedding day so we didn’t get to have our ceremony outside in the new Urb Garden they built, but the ceremony was just as intimate and gorgeous inside the venue. The new urb garden is really pretty and they have a little mobile bar out there that is adorable. Working with the coordinators Stephanie and Meghan made planning less stressful. They helped me the day of my wedding so smooth. Everything was executed perfectly and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue, better day, better team.
The staff were amazing and the venue is just stunning. They provided us with a wedding planner who made the day go smoothly and absolutely took our breath away!
I had my wedding here is April! And omg was is not beautiful! The team at the mercantile is so accommodating and makes your day go absolutely perfect! They felt like family! The venue itself is amazing! So many unique touches that you don’t really have to do a ton decor wise if you don’t want to! I highly recommend them!
Picking this venue for our wedding was absolutely the best. Stephanie and Wendy were exceptionally easy to work with and worked their butts off - they are worth every penny. The exposed brick and amazing chandeliers lead to GREAT pictures. Our wedding wouldn't have been quite as special if we did not have it at Mercantile Hall.
I can't say enough about the Mercantile Hall, mainly because of Stephanie and the rest of the staff. The hall itself is unspeakably beautiful--it's enough of a blank canvas to do what you want, but it's so pretty on it's own that you could get away with really light decor. From our first tour all the way through the wedding day, Stephanie and the staff walked us through each step of planning and provided so much useful information and guidance. When we had a crazy April blizzard the day of the wedding, Stephanie gave us an extra day to come back and pick up our stuff rather than have anyone drive in the weather. Our friends and family still cannot stop talking about how beautiful the venue was, and I am so glad we chose the Mercantile Hall for our Wedding.
Mercantile Hall & their staff are amazing!! Stephanie was so wonderful and patient in helping us plan our day, and it couldn't have gone any better. Merc Hall is such a fun location + they add in extra touches like a gallery wall where you can hang your engagement photos, a handwritten menu, cool signs by the bar, and fun lighting! Our guests raved about the space and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!
Mercantile Hall was absolutely amazing! All of the staff was unbelievably helpful, especially Stephanie. If you have an idea or a vision they will help you make it happen. The venue is absolutely beautiful and you can set up the layout however you'd like. It is a new and exciting venue that is different than the standard wedding venue.
Our experience at Mercantile Hall was wonderful! We came to them with a mission to have our wedding in a little over two months and they didn’t bat an eye. We worked with Stephanie, Mercantile’s Events Director, to prepare for the wedding and she served as our onsite coordinator the day of as well. She was personable, professional and friendly every step of the way. We were able to relax and know that everything would be perfect! Not to mention, the venue is a gorgeous, modern gem.

The venue is so gorgeous, even before bringing in any extra decorations! They also had a lot of cute extra touches such as the option for a slideshow or photos projected and framed photos along the hallway walls as the guests enter, which made it really unique. Stephanie was an awesome resource when it came to planning our wedding, and everyone there was so helpful! We got so many compliments on our venue, I couldn't ask for a better spot.
My husband Jordan and I were married here in July of this year after our previous venue pulled out on us just 4 months from our wedding day. When we first went to look at Mercantile, they were in the middle of construction, which made us a bit hesitant but they made sure that we were updated as progress was made and helped to ease any worries and concerns we had right away. The staff was so great as we worked through our engagement period and planned our wedding and accommodated us in so many different ways. When the place was done it was even more beautiful than we had expected! They did such a great job at making it come to life and putting it all together. After they were finished up with construction they were always doing fun events and having different giveaways to participate in. The staff was such a pleasure to work with, especially their coordinator Stephanie was extremely helpful in our planning, and made us feel so well taken care of. They had great pricing over all, although we had some very minor expenses we didn't realize we were being charged for i.e. extra tables, and table cloths. However overall everything was very reasonable and they worked with us so much. We would absolutely recommend the mercantile hall as they really made our wedding day everything we had planned for and so much more!
Mercantile Hall- you are a dream come true! I am so thankful that we took a chance in choosing Mercantile Hall as our wedding reception venue, although the space was still under construction. (We were only the 3rd wedding in the space!) We love & cherish the history of the building and what the owners are doing for the city of Burlington. In a nutshell, Mercantile Hall exceeded our vision for the space. Stephanie, the event planner, was amazing to work with! She was extremely responsive and supportive in the planning process. Her team blew us away on the wedding day- they were SO professional, kind, and thoughtful! They really kept everything together :) I don't know what we would have done without them. Here is a perfect example, we planned to have a popcorn bar and brought all the decorations in the night before. Believe it or not, I (bride) forgot to pick up the gourmet popcorn we ordered! When Stephanie realized that, her team went out (8 pm) and got popcorn for us!! They will go above and beyond for you! Finally, our guests had an amazing time! Everyone was extremely complimentary of the space & no one wanted to leave at the end of the night! Merc Hall, thank you SO MUCH for making our wedding such a spectacular day! I have no doubt that your venue will become a highly sought-after location.

Stephanie was fantastic! Had a tour of the space and can't wait to have my wedding reception here. Although it is just beginning construction I can see the final vision and I am delighted! Great Venue!
Amazing location with the perfect mix of rustic and industrial. Stephanie is absolutely delightful, and will gladly give you a tour of the space. The staff are experienced, and although the venue is not open until Spring 2017 I encourage you to check it out! It is affordable and located within walking distance to a hotel. There are multiple vendor and bar packages to meet all kinds of budget needs. Really is a one-of-a-kind venue!
