Working with Meredith was a joy! One of our daughter's wishes for her wedding day was to have Meredith paint a scene from the day. After learning I was trying to surprise her and her fiancé for Christmas, Meredith offered to give us a small personalized piece of art to be wrapped for Christmas morning. What a fun moment! Meredith met with us twice before the wedding, making sure we all shared the same vision. The painting turned out to be such a highlight of the reception. Everyone loved watching Meredith's talent take shape on the canvas. She captured the moment beautifully. What a treasure to have original artwork of their special day. Meredith's talent is amazing, but her warmth and kindness are just as wonderful.

When my daughter got engaged last fall, we began a fun year of planning. One of her ‘wishes’ was to have Meredith Piper paint live at the wedding reception. Meredith is a light + was a joy to work with. She paints with the biggest smile of joy on her face. She has a gift as an artist. She allowed guests to peer over her shoulder as she worked her magic. She created the most beautiful painting, with all the details...even down to the tree line. (This was huge because my venue was my family pine and sod farm.) Meredith’s painting was such a beautiful and unique addition to my daughter’s wedding. The video of the bride and groom seeing it for the first time after the ceremony will always be one of my favorite moments. Meredith was everything I could have asked for in a wedding portrait artist and more. She was organized, dependable, professional, and most importantly, the portrait she painted for us is breathtaking. She customized it to colors and scenery that were important to me. She was involved and completely capable without being overwhelming or asking a million questions (I was a very hands-off bride... the fewer the questions, the better). However, she nailed it. I decided months ahead of time to surprise my husband with a painting of our day, and Meredith was the perfect person to do it! She was very responsive and offered multiple sizing options - even recommended taping up an area on my wall where I wanted to hang the painting, so I knew which size to pick. I initially thought I wanted our painting to be of the inside of the chapel during our ceremony, but Meredith suggested painting the outside with us walking through the doors - and I’m so glad she did! As my husband and I began wedding planning, we knew having a live painter at our wedding was a must-have for us. Meredith was such a huge hit at our wedding and her work is so magical. Everyone was blown away with how quickly she was able to create our painting and how real it looks. There were no details left out, she is extremely talented and worth every penny! We got married right before covid hit, and seeing the painting in our living room every day is the sweetest reminder of the best day! A highlight of our wedding weekend was Meredith Piper Art’s talent gracing the ballroom of our reception venue. Barely 24 hours before our wedding reception was to begin, our painter had to cancel due to a COVID exposure, and Meredith jumped in to save the day responding within minutes to my wedding planner’s Instagram DM. I couldn’t imagine it now any other way. A live painting was something I had envisioned from the beginning of the planning process, and we couldn’t have dreamed how perfectly a piece would capture this special moment in time - our first dance surrounded by our closest family and friends. 2 days later it already hangs proudly on our wall for us to see every day, and not a day has passed yet that my husband and I haven’t noticed a new detail or said “have I mentioned how much I love this?”. “Everything works out for a reason”, Meredith wrote on the back. She couldn’t be more right about that.

Having Meredith at our wedding was hands down one of the best decisions we made. First off, it is one of the neatest things to have a piece of art in your home that is from your wedding. Not everyone has that in their home but brides to be, you can. It really is one of our most cherished pieces in our home. Second, Meredith is such a joy to work with. She really is such a sweet and fun person. There is a lot that comes with wedding planning and it was so nice to talk to someone that was nice, helpful, and detailed. Third, having a live painter at your wedding, not only are you getting a priceless piece of artwork but you are also getting entertainment for your guests. Our guests absolutely loved it! We personally had our ceremony painted but she finished the painting at our reception and our guests were able to go up and watch her throughout the night.
