Markel’s was the florist included in my full service package from sugar lake lodge and I’m so glad they were. They took my vision and did it better. As a surprise, they installed floor to ceiling live ivy all through the reception all. It was a showstopper. She hand crafted a hair piece to match my bouquet and basically did everything I wanted better than I could have dreamed.

When I first got engaged I knew immediately that I wanted Kristin and her team at Merkels to be our florist. Kristin's attention to detail, willingness to try anything, and overall easy-going personality made the entire planning process with her so smooth. When we sat down to discuss the vision I had for my wedding I told her I was thinking blues, purples, whites, and I wanted the entire place to give off a coastal Italian vibe - which I was positive made no sense, but Kristin was the biggest yes-woman. She immediately understood what I wanted and was so helpful when sitting down to discuss what I was thinking for the wedding. On top of this, she was incredibly conscious of our budget and worked with me to make sure I got everything I wanted within my price range! Another thing I never got to compliment on was her memory & attention to details; I had asked for Dahlias and Peonies in my bouquet if possible - knowing it was probably not going to happen as they weren't in season ... BUT SHE GOT THEM which I did not expect at all. From our altar and signage, to the centerpieces and bouquets, Kristin and her team exceeded my expectations by 1000%. I would not change a single thing. Kristin, we love you so much, and cannot thank you enough!

Out florals were a dream! Merkels took my slightly disjointed vision and created a breathtaking display. We wanted to maximize our budget and Kristin and her team truly worked some miracles! She is also just an angel on earth and I’m so thankful I got to work with her!

Merkels blew me away since my initial consultation meeting with them. My "vision" came to life in the most simple yet elegant way. I loved working with Kristin. Working with the Merkels team for our wedding was such an honor and a blessing. Throughout the entire planning process, Kristin was incredibly organized, professional and detail-oriented. For a couple that knew little to nothing about florals, she was able to talk us through our vision of the day and bring to life designs more beautiful than we could have dreamt. In addition, the entire Merkels team was incredibly efficient and adaptable. From transporting the ceremony’s floral arch to our reception venue within a limited time frame, to adding rose petals for the aisle the day of the event. I knew that the Merkels team would have our backs and deliver, and for that we are incredibly thankful! Kristin has such a calming presence and was a person we were so grateful to have in our corner. A moment that I will always cherish from the morning of our wedding was getting to see Kristin walk up to me as I got my makeup done just to show me my bridal bouquet for the first time. Delicately wrapped with ribbon and and charms from my grandmother that I had passed off to her to incorporate - Kristin and her entire team put so much love into everything they do. And they make their couples feel so special and taken care of! We even asked her to replicate the bouquet for a small church ceremony with our families a few months later and she was so amazing to help us out. We are so excited for future couples to get the opportunity to work with Kristin and the entire Merkels team for their big day!

Kristin and her team from beginning to end were nothing but perfection. They had so much knowledge and experience that helped us with our decisions. They were quick to respond and were patient with any questions, or changes we asked. We had a vision and they completely exceeded our expectations. Merkels made my wedding day. Literally, I could not have picked a better florist. Kristin communicated with me through the whole process and made it so easy. I made a Pinterest board and sent it to her, that was it. To say after that she made my dreams come true would be an understatement. Merkels blew me away with the floral arrangements they made. If I could do it all over again I would work with Kristin and the Merkel's team every time! I was very nervous about selecting a florist because I didn't have a strong floral vision for the day. From our first video call, Kristin took all of those nerves away. She made us feel SO comfortable to share our thoughts and provide feedback and took our ideas and ran with them. She even accommodated adjustments as I changed my mind throughout the process and was so kind and thoughtful every step of the way. On the day of the wedding, we were blown away by how beautifully the space came together and I cried when I saw my bouquet. BLOWN AWAY. Kristin is truly one of the most talented people we could've ever imagined working with for our wedding. She really is the best of the best! We are so grateful to our incredible planner, Engaged with Nora, for recommending her. She helped us stick to our budget while turning The Old Courthouse into pure magic. I'm not usually excited about flowers, but I loved our florals so much that we decided to get them preserved through Blue & Rose Studio. Kristin knew I wanted a pop of color for the preservation, so chose some flowers that would turn into pretty blues and pinks after being white for the ceremony.... it was PERFECT and we couldn't be happier with how gorgeous everything turned out!!! She books up quick so my advice would be to book with her asap!

Choosing a florist to work with was very difficult as there are so many talented florist in the Cleveland area. I knew that I wanted to work with Kristin as soon as I talked to her. Kristin was so patient and truly one of the kindest people I have ever met. She makes you feel so special and makes the whole process so easy. She listened and made my vision come to life. Booking Merkels Floral Studio was one of the best decisions I made in planning my wedding! I was extremely nervous about booking a florist because I wasn’t entirely sure on what I wanted (and changed my mind almost daily) Kristin at Merkels Floral Studio took so much time to talk over zoom and over email and was just so extremely helpful and accommodating. Working with her was an absolute dream and I truly love her so much. She took all of my crazy ideas, and made them into a reality I never could have even dreamt of! They designed and put together such beautiful arrangements, from my arbor to my reception tables, everything was stunning. She was so kind and added elements to the design without me even having to ask! My bouquet was the most beautiful arrangement I have ever seen. Everyone should use this vendor for their events!

The process of creating my wedding bouquet was so smooth and easy with Merkel Floral studio. Communication was great when creating my vision with a proposal plan and the final check ins before creating final flower pieces. Everything turned out way better then I could of ever imaged. I will definitely with be using this florist for all flower needs in the future.

I would highly recommend Kristin and her team to anyone with event floral needs. I've had the pleasure of working with Kristin and her team for my wedding in September of 2022. I first started looking for wedding florists in Autumn of 2020. I had some strong contenders, but Kristin's enthusiasm and personable demeanor set Merkel's apart from the others. She had so much genuine interest and excitement in my floral ideas! I knew from the start that I didn't want a more traditional muted color palette for my own wedding. I wanted a mix of moody, jewel-toned colors with pops of brightness. And Merkel's delivered just that and then some. We were surrounded by gorgeous, local and in-season dahlias - my favorites. Complimented beautifully with smilax, eucalyptus, carnations, garden roses, blue thistle, ranunculus, scabiosa and pops of small orange and blue blossoms. It was perfect. Kristin worked closely with me to find the best floral options for our venue and our bridal party. No detail was missed. From our arch, to a floral display above my ceremony entrance, our table centerpieces and smilax greenery around Rivercrest Farm's winding staircase. An added bonus is that Merkel's had worked with our photographer, Carly Drzazga, before our wedding, so the teamwork and overall feel of the wedding came together seamlessly. Kristin made sure that our photographer had plenty of fresh blooms for flat-lay and detail photos, which turned out absolutely stunning. Kristin is always quick to respond to emails and was extremely accommodating of changes during our Final Review before the wedding. The day-of Kristin and her team were so quick and efficient getting things set up and making sure everything was where it needed to be. Merkel's went above and beyond for our wedding and I am so grateful to have worked with such a wonderful team! They delivered absolutely stunning florals at a very reasonable cost. As someone who was raised by a gardener and avid flower enthusiast who passed her passion onto me, florals were of the utmost importance for my wedding and I was blown away with the final result. I cannot recommend Merkel's Floral Studio enough!

Merkels was by FAR our favorite vendor for the wedding. Not only did they provide quality flowers, but the flowers were meant to bring everything together -- and they did! We did not have matching bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen ties so we truly depended on Merkels to come through with this, and they did. Above and beyond customer service and just genuine happiness for us. Pricing was also very reasonable and for flowers, you don't often find that. 100/10.

It's truly bittersweet writing this review because that means our wedding floral journey with Merkel's Floral Studio has come to an end! I cannot recommend Kristin + Merkel's for your wedding day enough. I feel so lucky to have found Kristin early on in our wedding planning process- Immediately after our initial inquiry call I knew I had found our florist. Kristin is so warm and welcoming and you can truly tell how much she loves what she does. I had a really specific vision for our florals and every single change was accepted with excitement and each detail was so intentionally executed to perfection- I was truly brought to tears. I will never stop raving about my bouquet, the statement pieces, and amount of guest love we received about how incredible the floral details were throughout our wedding. Florals are arguably the most important decor element on your wedding day and Merkel's is hands down the BEST. If I could do it all over again Kristin would be the first vendor I'd book over and over and over again :)

Kristin and her team absolutely blew all of my floral expectations out of the water. I gave her an overall color scheme for my bouquet and I think they might have been the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen in my life. Everything was perfect!

Kristin and her team took a vision we had for our florals and elevated it 1000x. I still am stunned at how beautiful every single piece was and how perfectly everything came together. From our first meeting/questionnaire to the wedding day and after, the merkel’s team has been amazing at communicating with my planner and myself. Kristin and her team are hands down the best floral ARTISTS around. When I first met with Kristin, I told her I wanted someone that I knew understood my vision and could run with it... and did she deliver! She not only executed my vision for the wedding day perfectly, she did it better. One of my favorite things, besides my bouquet, was the floating florals in the pool, which she had to attach an individual floating device to each flower to ensure it stayed afloat. Kristin and her team did an absolutely beautiful job for our wedding at the Old Arcade. Admittedly, both myself and my now husband had a hard time wrapping our minds around how much people spend on floral for just one day. I had a limited budget but I didn't necessarily want that to mean skimpy floral. Kristin walked us through the process and was able to work with us to create a beautiful and impactful design that could be repurposed in several ways throughout the evening to maximize the "wow factor" including a spectacular ground floral arch--seriously I've never seen anything like it! Also, my bridal bouquet was the most beautiful floral I've ever seen. I have a distinct memory from the morning of my wedding day... We were getting ready in the bridal suite when the team started to bring in all of the bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids---and when I first saw the flowers (in all their robust, lush glory), that was the EXACT moment when it hit me, this was all actually happening! I felt like a true bride in that moment. Multiple people commented to me that everything was "Pinterest-worthy" which is a huge compliment for any bride! My mom also told me the best feedback of all, that my late grandmother (who was a florist for many years) would have adored the flowers. I knew she was smiling down on us. So yes, it was all for one day... but it was the best day of my life. I will always look back at the photos and videos and swoon at the dreaminess of it all. If you want lavish, beautiful floral with an artistic, unique touch then Merkels Floral Studio is the one for you! She will work with any budget to give you your dream floral design.

I cannot recommend Merkels enough. Kristin was so easy to work with. She always was timely with her responses and she made the planning process so easy! The flowers were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, and her team was incredible. They really took my vision and made it come to life, even more than I ever could have dreamed. This review is going to get lengthy, so I'll recap with the highlight: Kristin and her team are absolutely PHENOMENAL and everything you want from a wedding vendor. Kristin is a dream to work with, a professional who coordinated with our venue through a number of changes on the venue's side and made our vision a reality with attention to detail that gave me comfort that I was in good hands. From the very first meeting (virtual, we're out of state), Kristin was a true partner and worked with us. I had nothing more than a few Pinterest photos and no knowledge of florals and she put together a proposal that was better than what I could've imagined. We had to move our wedding to a new venue when we decided on a smaller guest count and lost a lot of the natural greenery and floral design between the two spaces when we made the jump. I was worried we wouldn't have the greenery I had originally envisioned, but then we found Merkel's Flowers and Kristin was flexible and worked with us to decorate the ceremony arch with a beautiful floral display and to create a floral chandelier to hang in the space. Not only did we love the flowers, but the guests were also raving about the designs. The chandelier really brought everything together and made the standard tent feel more formal. Guests from the inn we had our wedding at were coming out to admire the chandelier before it was even fully finished and checked back in throughout the day to see how it came out. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the bouquets and boutonnieres! All fresh and ready to go on the big day. Exactly what we were looking for and stunning.

Merkels Flowers TRUELY were the best ever! Kristen understood my colors and what I wanted, and even helped me feel okay after so many color changes!!! I thought I was too vague with the description of what I wanted, but she understood me so much and the flowers pulled all my colors together!!! They are great professionals that are amazing at their job, really know how to make you feel special and NOT STRESS about anything! Merkels Flowers IS A MUST!

I met with her one on one initially and she put a "Pinterest board" style document together for all the ideas we came up with so I could see things come together while planning. On our wedding day everything was beautiful and her and her team were so sweet! I would chose them a hundred times over and if I have any need for florals in the future will continue to choose Merkels.

Merkel’s made my flower dreams come true! I had originally worked with another florist for our wedding but it just didn’t feel right. When I reached out to Merkel’s, I did immediately feel welcomed as a client. It was extremely easy and pleasant to work with Kristin and her team. You can feel that they want your big day to be special and that they love what they do. I had shared some of my visions with them and trusted them with the rest. What they created was more that I could have asked for. The flowers were beyond stunning! Thank you so much to the whole team, you made our day so special!

Merkel’s flowers is the best!!! I shopped around before finding them and Merkel’s by far has the best prices and best results. Kristin was so helpful throughout the whole process. She helped me come up with a theme for the wedding. I was literally in tears reading the customized proposal because she had pictures of her vision and until that point I was unsure about what our theme and color scheme was. I used that proposal to finish all the decorations and small details. When we arrived to the ceremony they had the bouquets, boutineers, and all other details ready to go for us! It was more beautiful than I imagined. Then when we arrived at the reception it looked amazing! Her work is pure art like out of a Pinterest board! I got so many compliments on the centerpieces and floral details. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! Thanks again Merkel’s and Kristin!!!

Kristin at Markel's was AMAZING to work with! We started our journey with an in person consultation (which lasted 2 hours!!!) Kristin did not care at all that we had a hundred questions and different ideas, she listened to us and took notes and really made us feel like she understood what we wanted. She came prepared with a questionnaire that made the process really smooth as we were discussing our wants/needs. It was great that she had the questionnaire because she reminded us of things we didn't even think of for the ceremony or reception and we would've been so sad if we didn't have certain arrangements. A week after meeting with her she sent a proposal via email that included pictures of ideas based on what we said, pricing and details about each arrangement. We had some special requests which she was able to make happen without issue and truly went above and beyond for our requests. The pricing was fair and honestly, after seeing all the floral arrangements at the ceremony and the reception, I can honestly say there is NO other flower studio to use for your wedding! She's extremely easy to get into contact with and responds to emails or phone calls very promptly. ** one word of advise is that they do book up really quick so if you're even considering using them, just do it!

Merkels was so wonderful to work with. Kristin worked with me to develop the vision, colors, and scheme. It was a true partnership for the months leading up, and then the day of was so seamless. The asymmetric arch was absolutely perfect and my trailing bouqet was the highlight of so many pictures and then later our head table. The flowers lasted all night. I couldn't be happier with Merkels.

When I think about Merkels and the work their team does, the first word that comes to mind is "MAGIC"! Kristin spent countless hours on phone calls and in meetings with me in order to make the vision of our special day come to life, and she absolutely nailed it. I was blown away when I walked into our venue, it was a magical moment seeing my vision come to life and I have Kristin to thank. Wedding planning is never easy, especially in a pandemic, but Kristin never made me feel nervous or stressed about any of it. And we even got married over Mother's Day Weekend! She is a true force. She was genuinely kind, passionate, and honest. You could tell that our big day was just as important to her as it was to us. Merkels truly made our dream wedding a reality and we are just so grateful!

We were SOOOOOO LUCKY to work with Kristin at Merkel's Floral Studio for our backyard micro wedding!!! Kristin is an absolute gem and her kindness, helpfulness, and enthusiasm radiated through over email, phone, and Zoom alike during the planning process. I had a pretty vague idea of what colors/type of look I wanted for the wedding florals when I first started planning, but Kristin did an amazing job of walking me through all the decisions, answering all my questions, and then taking my vague ideas and making them into something more beautiful than I could have imagined. (AND staying within our budget too!) Our wedding flowers were stunningly gorgeous and the whole backyard looked like a fairy tale!! We will treasure the pictures forever and are so grateful to the team at Merkel's Floral Studio for making our special day so beautiful and memorable.

We LOVE Merkels Flowers!! Kristin and her team are so great and their flowers are beautiful! They really listen to what you’re looking for in your wedding arrangements and stay within your budget. They helped us with our ceremony flowers in October and we love them so much that we will be working with them again for our reception in May. They were so helpful with set up the day of the ceremony and delivering our flowers to the hotel as well. So I do not even know where to begin with my review! Kristin and Merkel's flowers was by far the best pick for a florist for our wedding. Kristin was always so quick to communicate, she made you feel like a friend, and that you were always the most important client to her. She took into consideration pictures that I liked but also used her expertise in designing the floral creations. Everything was GORGEOUS. It was beyond what I could have imagined and people were commenting on the bouquets and ceremony flowers all night. The best part though was Kristin's customer service. I had ordered a flower crown and she waited patiently until I got to the venue to custom fit it to my head and pin it perfectly in place. I just thought this went above and beyond and showed she truly cared about my happiness.
