Merry Maui Weddings

I was really disappointed with Merry Maui Weddings for the lack of value they provided for me as wedding coordinators for my wedding. Erin, my coordinator worked part time which made coordinating replies difficult as the operator just lost most of the time. I had lost confidence that they would be able to perform the ask of coordinator the moment I spoke to Ayesha. I had to move my wedding day forward a day and I ended up coordinating my luau. Mind you, i paid in advance and elected to opt out of most of the package items. So basically, I paid for an expensive minister.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Bouquet was beautiful as were the Lei's. We were married on Charley Young beach and everything turned out beautiful and perfect.

Merry Maui weddings was not the first place I called to inquire about a Maui Wedding. But they were one of the few who actually answered when I called (and called, and called, LOL) . I shopped around to probably about 7 different wedding outfits and submitted at least 5 online requests. Vincent was the only one who answered each and every time. I called Merry Maui Weddings 6 days before we wanted to get married in a panic. You see, I am a world-class procrastinator, though not always by choice. In this case I had to leave for Maui with less than a week’s notice for work and thought it would be wonderful to bring my wonderful girlfriend of 4 years along with for a surprise wedding in Maui. Let me also add, not only am I a procrastinator, but I am also budget conscience. Making there job twice as hard. =) When I first called, I actually caught Vincent (owner/photographer) on his way to another scheduled wedding, but he still took the time to talk with me and make me feel comfortable with the whole process. We spoke briefly about the options he had available and I followed up with him the next day. Vincent was able to confirm my wedding date over the phone, accept payment over the phone and confirm the whole package with ease. I was amazed at how easy he made it. When our big day came, we got excellent directions and met Vincent and his Wife (the lovely Hawaiian minister) at one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The spot they recommended was a pretty area with perfectly manicured grass, lovely swaying palm trees with waves crashing in the backdrop behind us. We also had the option to have the ceremony directly on the beach, but chose the grassy area above to be able to have a variety of pictures. The ceremony was performed by Vincent’s wife, who did a lovely job of administering her version of the traditional Hawaiian ceremony. At the end, we got to exchange lei’s and were allowed the opportunity to exchange our own vows. After the ceremony, we went down to the beach and took several pictures. Vincent is an excellent photographer, he told us exactly where to go and stand and took some of the best pictures of my now wife I have ever seen (he actually showed us some of them after it was all over on his camera so we had a sneak peak). My wife is the first to tell you that she is not very camera friendly, but Vincent was able to capture her in the same way that I see her… the most beautifully bride in the WHOLE world! In closing I want everyone to know just how perfect Merry Maui Weddings made our special day. Somehow they were able to give us everything we wanted, in the time frame we wanted and all for a price that was more than reasonable. I mentioned at the beginning that I was in a hurry, but I did shop around and I encourage you to the do the same. But I promise you will not find a better value than Merry Maui weddings, and when it’s all said and done you will thank me. Note: I also want to add that Vincent has continued to reply promptly to my queries even now after our wedding (and getting paid) he has gone above and beyond the call of duty. I feel doubly blessed to have picked not only the perfect wife, but the perfect wedding planner/minister/photographer. Thank you Merry Maui Weddings!!!

WOW! Our Merry Maui Wedding was amazing. The location was beautiful overlooking the ocean with sunset in the background. We couldn’t have ask for more. From the beginning with the photos, music, and our circle of love. We loved it and it felt so loving and natural right on the sand. If you are planning a beach wedding I would defiantly recommend them. They were always there for me and everything came out perfect just by planning it over the phone. We are so happy, we feel like our wedding was so special because of Merry Maui Weddings. We were so blessed that everything came out so beautiful.

My husband and I chose Merry Maui Weddings in February of this year as our wedding coordinator/officiant/photography/videography. We couldn't be more satisfied with the service and quality that we received. We received our pictures ready to download within two weeks! Most photographers can take a month, so we were very pleased. We also loved the pictures. They arrived on time and eager to begin. They were friendly, polite, and low key. We appreciated that since we wanted a beautiful and low stress wedding. Our wedding party consist of 6 people total. Everything was perfect! Thank you so much Merry Maui Weddings. I would definitely recommend them if you are getting married in Maui. We were married on Maui and regrettably used Merry Maui Weddings as our "wedding coordinators". Similarly to the other poster's comments, we found communication to be somewhat delayed, however always eventually responded to. Essentially what troubled us was that we were made to feel that we were more of an inconvenience to them, and they simply wanted our wedding to come and go so that they could move on. We found their knowledge of vendors outside of their inner circle of the "Maui Wedding Association" to be limited, and we were forced to find and coordinate our DJ, officiate, wedding cake, and tent rental on our own. Granted, they assisted with some integral aspects but frankly, our opinion is that the service should be all-encompassing. Ultimately, the owners of Merry Maui Weddings appeared to "oversee" our wedding, but left partway through the reception, without advising us that they were leaving - let alone any congratulations! They were never to be heard from again, until we received a tacky, homemade Maui marriage certificate. Therefore, our experience was troublesome as we felt we were quite a hassle to Merry Maui Weddings. We hope that we are just an anomaly out of the many weddings that they have done, but it is appearing like this is a sad reality of Marry Maui Weddings.

The officiant didnt know where we were getting married even though we talked to them multiple times before the wedding. They were late!!!!!! The officiant called my husband the wrong name during the ceremony. She dropped part of my wedding band in the sand and if I hadnt looked down at the right moment it would have been washed away in the ocean!!! Wouldnt reccomend them.

I am very happy with the way my Hawaiian wedding turned out thanks to Vincent and his wife from Merry Maui Weddings. Both of our venues for the ceremony & sunset photo session were GREAT! Our pictures came out wonderful and fast shipping on them as well. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience!

While the photography from Merry Maui Weddings was beautiful and told a great story, my husband and I were underwhelmed with the service and value provided on all the other items in our wedding package. Communication was difficult and often delayed anywhere from several days up to three weeks. We spent a lot of our time following up by email and phone to confirm our messages were received. My husband and I had a simple wedding on a public beach with no guests, yet the coordination of several items in our package seemed very last minute, and made us feel our special day was low priority to MMW. Our biggest issue with MMW was their lack of planning and coordination when it came to the details of our ceremony. My husband and I wrote our own personal vows that we wished to share with each other as part of the ceremony. We emailed our vows to MMW months ahead of time so they could prepare beforehand to find the appropriate place in the ceremony for them. Yet again, we called to follow up and confirm they received our vows. But at the ceremony they were completely overlooked! We invested a lot of time and emotion into writing our vows and were crushed to have them handled with such carelessness. What is a wedding if not for the vows? We were never offered an apology, and MMW even went so far as to blame us for not interrupting mid-ceremony to remind them! Be wary of working with this vendor. And be prepared to put in extra effort communicating with them and following up to ensure your day goes as planned.

They were great as well. They were so easy to work with. Again, us being from Indiana I had lots of questions. They were patient and understanding. They answered all my questions very quick. It was like we were best friends before I even arrived on the island !
