Mersadi Olson Photo & Video

gaged in June and knew we wanted to do something intimate for now. I researched for a bit trying to find a perfect elopement package that had full planning and photography. I stumbled across Mersadi’s social media and website. Needless to say, I fell in love with the aesthetic. I reached out and received a response within 48 hours which was amazing! The details were gathered, I chose to work with her team (she was not in Hawaii the week of the wedding), and contract was signed! I sent her a link to a Pinterest board for my vision and man did she make it come to life!!! It was so easy working with her; she was on top of any obstacle that came up with several options to compensate. Our elopement quickly went from 4 guests to 9 guests but it was completely okay. She worked very well with the adjustment. Her packages and extra add ons are very budget friendly!! If you can’t work with her the day of, don’t worry, she still has her hand in the mix!! You will be well taken care of as a bride and literally not worry about a single thing. The team and vendors she has are a dream!!! This was the best decision! Make the jump and reach out!!

grapher. We were traveling from far away and she was very responsive when it got closer to the date about timing and location. Our photographer, Tiare was super sweet and very patient!! I am not super comfortable behind the camera and she made the whole experience fun and relaxing. I would highly recommend them for any type of photography event!

during the photo session. Not to mention, the photos were incredible. Would work with her 1 million times over.

oking itself to the day of. She communicated extremely well throughout, and even coordinated a last minute location change to accommodate us better due to time constraints. At the shoot, she made us feel so comfortable and gave great direction, making for amazing photos - even with some inclement weather. She is truly the best!

for a lifetime. Their professionalism and attention to detail were truly remarkable, and they made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout our entire elopement. From the stunning portraits to the candid and aesthetic shots, every image and video exceeded our expectations. We can’t thank them enough for their work and dedication in preserving the magic of our special day. You guys were exactly what we were looking for! Highly recommended without hesitation!

hrough every shot, capturing moments with an incredible eye for detail. Her communication skills made the process smooth, and her friendly and personable nature put us at ease during the shoots. What truly sets her apart is the passion she brings to her work, telling our story through each captivating image. I highly recommend her for anyone seeking a photographer who goes above and beyond to create beautiful memories.

estions. The shoot was fun and she made us both feel at ease in front of the camera. She was also incredibly efficient and made sure we got photos at the different locations we requested. When we got our gallery back, my fiance and I were blown away. The photos were gorgeous!!! Mersadi is truly talented--amazing photographer and gorgeous editing style. I highly highly recommend her.

000% the right move because our entire photo gallery absolutely blew me away. She captured us perfectly and helped make this the most perfect day in every way. We had 4 hours with her, which flew by but was plenty of time to squeeze in a variety of locations and even made it possible for us to experience parts of the island we otherwise wouldn't have made it to. She's insanely talented, so much fun, and got our gallery to us faster than anyone I know has ever gotten their wedding photos. If you're getting married on Hawaii, you absolutely HAVE to work with Mersadi!!

e wanted pictures before he left a week later. Mersadi messaged me back right away, we scheduled a shoot for three days later, and I got the engagement photos of my dreams!! She was so helpful with picking a location, outfits, posing, and bringing the pictures in my head to life. Her website made the scheduling/payment/planning process so easy and smooth. She is so knowledgeable about photography, professional, and not to mention, so beyond sweet! Amazing experience.

xactly how to capture our ceremony perfectly. We aren’t the most comfortable people in front of the camera, but Mersadi guided us and captured so many amazing photos. If you are looking for a photographer, my advice is to book Mersadi NOW!

ble. Thanks to her, my photos and video turned out so amazing!

details throughout the process. We have got the photos and cannot be more satisfied about the quality.

job!

ought about photographing our engagement on a cliff at 5am and then our elopement literally the next day, and she was all over it. She gave us the best proposal spot ideas as well as brought us champagne and leis. She then got our engagement photos back to us within 3 HOURS!!!! The next day her and Jay came to shoot our elopement and I had forgotten my mints as well as my mascara. She drove to 2 stores on the way to make sure she got everything that I had forgotten. I 1000% recommend doing the full service package with her. It will make your life so much easier in the planning process as well as be a stress reliever. One of my favorite things about my experience with olson photography was that Mersadi got back to my emails within a few hours every single time. I had so many problems trying to contact vendors that would take days or never respond at all. This was so nice to actually be able to speak with her and get things worked out all within a day. My husband and I had the best experience with Olson Photography. I will now be coming back to Hawaii so she can photograph all of my major life events! I cannot recommend them enough, you will not regret choosing Olson Photography!!!!

important to us beforehand. I think that was clutch for the day-of, when everyone (especially our mothers) had requests for different photos. She stayed flexible enough to accommodate those requests but also stayed focused on what we wanted. When we wanted to take advantage of a break in rain and extend our beach photo time, she did that and got the most amazing shots. She also coached us through everything in a way that we were able to be candid and goofy but still get stunning photos. Then, she delivered our preview gallery faster than we expected and the full gallery blew our minds. I wish I lived in Hawaii so I could hire for every big moment!

all over again, we wouldn't change a thing. I am so glad I trusted them with everything. We were blown away by Mersadi's exceptional professionalism, creativity, talent, and care from start to finish. We just had to SHOW UP. Booking her Hawaii elopement photo + video package was our best decision. She took care of everything, including finding the breathtaking locations, photography, video (AMAZING VIDEO), coordinating to find the perfect flowers, hair, makeup, and setting up the most romantic and elegant picnic for us. Our day was PERFECT, thanks to them! My husband and I are shy/introverts, but spending hours with Mersadi and Jay felt like we were hanging out with our friends- that is how comfortable they make you feel every minute! They made us feel safe and at ease. They truly bring the laid-back, fun-loving, tropical sensibility to any celebration. No one else is better in the business, and we're eternally grateful we found them! LOOK NO FURTHER. BOOK THEM NOW!!  Thank you, Mersadi and Jay, for capturing the best day of our lives!!! <3 Stephanie + Gilbert

y friends have reached out to say how wonderful the photos turned out. Mersadi knows how to capture the best angles, especially for a couple who is a little camera-shy! If you want gorgeous photos, you should definitely reach out to Mersadi!

and able to fit us in within a weeks time. She suggested locations and what to wear as well. We ended up shooting at a wonderful spot on the westside that had so many different backgrounds. My fiancé was not too keen on taking the engagement photos at first, but Mersadi helped pose us and made us feel at ease. It was a fun session and the photos turned out beautiful! If we come back to the island, we would definitely book a shoot with her! She's fun, upbeat and great behind the camera. You definitely will not regret booking any form of photography with Mersadi! If we were getting married in Oahu, we'd definitely see if she could shoot our wedding.

t like reconnecting with an old friend, and Mersadi’s light hearted personality melted our nerves away. The photos that she captured absolutely BLEW us away. She somehow found a way to display our relationship perfectly, and each image feels like a little capsule of our love. Not to mention that she got us a sneak peak super quickly and over delivered on our images. If you get a chance to work with Mersadi, TAKE IT. Our experience couldn’t have been more positive and we will treasure our photos forever.

oli'i Gardens at Kualoa Ranch. Mersadi also took my engagement pictures in Hawaii as well. She was efficient, punctual, friendly, professional, and a wonderful person to rely on! Coming from California to Hawaii for a destination wedding, Mersadi went far beyond her role of wedding photographer for me. She gave me endless recommendations for other vendors and more. Mersadi has such a unique gift of truly capturing a couple's love on their wedding days, elopements, engagements, and so much more! As someone who believes they are awkward taking pictures, Mersadi has a way of making you feel comfortable behind the camera. I truly could not recommend Mersadi more, she is truly a talent that should not go unnoticed. She is a gem of a human being that I am blessed to know and stay connected with. Thank you Mersadi! -Brooke & Christian Meng ❤️

ing us ample time to change, and overall, we had so much fun! Mersadi was awesome with communication, coordinating the logistics up to the event. AND THE PHOTOS TURNED OUT TO BE MAGICAL! The vibe, the warmth in teh photos, it was PERFECT! 10/10 would recommend!

ed us through the entire process :) The photos came out better than we could have hoped for.

ou as a couple with your spouse and then she sends over a contract which lays out all the information and it was so easy to sign and put the deposit down. So easy! I really loved how quick and responsive she is to any questions you may have and she even gave us a guide on what to wear. She has clear communication throughout and I felt really comfortable knowing if I had any other questions or inquiries she would answer right away. At first I felt really uncomfortable getting pictures taken (because I feel awkward in front of the camera) but she made it so much fun and the shots were absolutely incredible. She is an incredible photographer and her work speaks for itself. I loved getting to know her 1:1 during the photos and having a blast with my spouse. After the shoot she was quick to send us our photos to select the ones we wanted and it was such an easy and fast process! I recommend her to everybody!! It was such a great experience and we get to cherish these beautiful photos for forever. Mahalo!!

f everything! I used to do photography myself, so I was super picky with finding a photographer, and immediately I fell in love with Mersadi’s work and how awesome of a person she is. She captures moments in such a journalistic approach, while also making the couple feel like models on their special day. You spend your whole day with your photographer and it’s important you and your partner get along with them. By the end of the day, my husband and I felt like we were reconnecting with old friends (with Mersadi and Jay) because they are just so down to earth and easy to get along with. As someone who’s always been behind the camera, I am terrible at being a “model” and Mersadi was always on top of adjusting my hair, giving me options with my hair styles and bouquet, and giving me posing techniques. Then as a huge bonus was the next day we got over 60 sneak peek photos! I couldn’t believe the turn around on those. We cannot wait for the full set and video, but based on what we already have, I know it’s going to be amazing. We hope to work again with Mersadi the next time we find ourselves in Hawaii. She and Jay are an amazing duo. Make sure you hire them, it’ll be the best decision you make!

ink about! They helped with everything and made the day flow seamlessly. We enjoyed chatting with them and the photos could not of came out any more perfect. I’ve received endless compliments on their work from family and friends.

ear. Mersadi has a talent for capturing the raw and genuine moments. Jay can make a master film out of the most awkward of couples (🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️). The only thing I’m disappointed about is that we can’t hang out with them every day. They made us feel like family and friends from the moment we met them. I can’t recommend them enough!!

ogenic, but it was really important to us to capture the day. Mersadi put us right at ease and was so easy to work with. We felt like we could completely be ourselves and all of her directions were seamless and natural. And can I just say… the final pictures were INCREDIBLE!!! Seriously in love with her work, and I honestly can’t stop scrolling through them! As a note we also decided to do the photo + videography package  and that was probably one of the best decisions. It made everything so easy to coordinate, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Mersadi and Jay were on it, and they are truly an incredible team. Their energy was just awesome to be around, and it was so nice to have them both there throughout the day.  I 100% can say it was an absolute privilege to having them capture our day!

way during the ceremony and capturing special moments that I wasnt even aware of until i saw the pictures. shes amazing!. She will work with you whatever your situation. I had postponed my wedding three times in Hawaii during covid and ended up back in California. She traveled to California to take my pictures. That told me alot about her work ethic and made me love her that much more. Do not think twice about hiring her for your special day... trust me

i caught in these photos is un like any wedding photo I've seen before. Not only are the photos amazing....her and her husband (who shot the video....which I haven't seen yet) are so nice! They blended right in and talked to a lot of the guests. Everyone loved them! We had canceled the year before (due to Covid) but they flew out this year to Santa Cruz, CA. The wedding was AGAIN canceled by the wedding venue the night before, due to weather, and pushed to another venue by our wonderful wedding planner. Mersadi and her husband showed up the next day at the new venue ready to go. They were easy to work with and professional! I would highly recommend them both!

She is thorough and detail oriented, and very responsive to messages as well. Our biggest concern was that we do not feel very comfortable in front of a camera and we didn't want that to show up in the photos. Mersadi made us feel comfortable, cracked jokes, and gave clear instructions, so all of the picture taking went very smoothly. And the pictures turned out amazing! Very unique looking, with deep colors and contrast. I really enjoyed working with her. Would definitely hire her again, without a doubt!!!!!!

of her associate photographers, Thais, who is the sweetest person! She gave us great directions and made us feel 100% less awkward than we normally feel. WOW our pictures turned out amazing!! We can't wait to use them for our guest book!

ing through different photographer Instagram pages and the moment I came across hers I knew she was the one! Planning a wedding is already stressful enough, but she made it so easy when we had to make sudden changes to our wedding plans due to the pandemic. She even travelled to the Central Coast region of California in short notice (within 6 weeks) when we had to make sudden location changes (originally planned in Kauai). Can I add that she photographed my wedding on HER birthday?! She's amazing and you won't regret choosing her as your photographer. Her husband did the videography and it was so much fun working with both of them together. Nothing about their work felt staged. Their work is a dream. What a duo!

ucks, she doesn’t miss a single detail. Receiving our gallery made my heart so happy with so many moments I would have forgotten if she hadn’t been there. She is the best choice we made in wedding planning. We hope to work with her for the rest of our life events because she’s just that good!!

y vision for my 35th Birthday photo shoot and Mersadi delivered. Her knowledge of the island and beautiful location chosen for my session had me in AWE. The direction and guidance she provided along with her sweet spirit during the shoot made way for us to capture some of the most Amazing shots and allowed me to put my insecurities behind me. Previously, I have done quite a few photo shoots but this by far was truly special and Mersadi's talent with imagery made it a GREAT EXPERIENCE with Spectacular results!

rom the start she asked us what music we listen to and put on the best playlist for us! She gave us such good direction to make our pictures look completely natural and not staged at all. The lighting was perfect in every picture and really captures us as a couple. She’s very personable and was so much fun!! We had the best time. You won’t regret booking her!!

t and the wedding, it is worth it! We both enjoyed her and she captured all aspects of us, the goofy, romantic and everything in-between. She even gave us helpful tips with having the wedding in Hawaii and just is a great friend to have.

o-taking super comfortable. She nailed shot after shot and our photos will forever be a treasure. Her husband Jay did our videography and we are soooo beyond happy that we decided to add it on. A decision you will definitely never regret! The video turned out amazing and now we get to relive those moments over and over again. Thank you Mersadi and Jay for perfectly capturing the best day of our lives!

erish for the rest of our lives. They really know how to capture the most beautiful moments and work so well together! All I can say is WOW! I was so hesitant on spending extra for a videographer but if you’re questioning it here is your answer JUST DO IT! Forever grateful for Mersadi and her husband. They are true artists!

iful. She’s so talented and I’m so happy with what we got as a result of her coaching us along the way. Thank you times a million Mersadi!!!

/family. I really appreciated her flexibility and willingness as I constantly pivoted and changed plans with her. She deserves even more than 5 stars! We LOVE our photos, thank you Mersadi!!!

im look incredible! You know how in your mind you imagine your photos to come out a certain way, so you buy clothes and put on make up, but for some reason it just isn't right? These two will help any modeling newbies to look natural, relaxed, and most importantly gorgeous. They also have this calming presence so even though my mind was racing a mile a minute, the photos came out sooo beautiful. They even helped my fiancé plan the location, timing, and helped him get some last minute stuff for the shoot!

ed it so much that we decided to try to set up an engagement shoot on a whim. I checked out Mersadi's instagram&website and absolutely loved her style, emailed her asap, and she replied quickly. She knew we were dying for a shoot (since our previous engagement shoots were cancelled back at home) and was able to do it so last minute which I thought was awesome. Photos turned out amazing and I highly recommend setting up a shoot with her!! <3

t in front of the camera. We received a lot of great pictures and can’t stop starring at them ! 😍 Thank you, Mersadi, you are so talented and you made our trip to Hawaii unforgettable 🥰
