My fiance and I absolutely loved working with Mersadi! We hired her to do our engagement photos. From the beginning, she was a joy to talk to and very responsive if we had any questions. The shoot was fun and she made us both feel at ease in front of the camera. She was also incredibly efficient and made sure we got photos at the different locations we requested. I cannot say enough good things about Mersadi as our photographer. My husband and I eloped on Kauai, and with just the two of us there, we let her call the shots on where to go — 1000% the right move because our entire photo gallery absolutely blew me away. She captured us perfectly and helped make this the most perfect day in every way. We had 4 hours with her, which flew by but was plenty of time to squeeze in a variety of locations and even made it possible for us to experience parts of the island we otherwise wouldn't have made it to. Mersadi was absolutely amazing!!! I reached out to her via Instagram for a last minute engagement session because my fiancé got deployment orders a few days after he proposed and we wanted pictures before he left a week later. Mersadi messaged me back right away, we scheduled a shoot for three days later, and I got the engagement photos of my dreams!! She was so helpful with picking a location, outfits, posing, and bringing the pictures in my head to life. Her website made the scheduling/payment/planning process so easy and smooth. She is so knowledgeable about photography, professional, and not to mention, so beyond sweet! Amazing experience.

Mersadi is AMAZING! My partner and I decided to have a very last minute elopement, and Mersadi communicated everything we needed in the short time leading up to our day. She knew exactly how to capture our ceremony perfectly. We aren’t the most comfortable people in front of the camera, but Mersadi guided us and captured so many amazing photos. Mersadi is truly the most incredible photographer to work with. She will go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience and photos. I came to her asking what she thought about photographing our engagement on a cliff at 5am and then our elopement literally the next day, and she was all over it. She gave us the best proposal spot ideas as well as brought us champagne and leis. She then got our engagement photos back to us within 3 HOURS!!!! The next day her and Jay came to shoot our elopement and I had forgotten my mints as well as my mascara. She drove to 2 stores on the way to make sure she got everything that I had forgotten. I 1000% recommend doing the full service package with her. It will make your life so much easier in the planning process as well as be a stress reliever. One of my favorite things about my experience with olson photography was that Mersadi got back to my emails within a few hours every single time. I had so many problems trying to contact vendors that would take days or never respond at all. This was so nice to actually be able to speak with her and get things worked out all within a day. My husband and I had the best experience with Olson Photography. I will now be coming back to Hawaii so she can photograph all of my major life events! I cannot recommend them enough, you will not regret choosing Olson Photography!!!!

Mersadi has been so awesome to work with, from our initial interviews to the day-of, to final delivery. I love that she took the time to get to know us and get a sense of what was important to us beforehand. I think that was clutch for the day-of, when everyone (especially our mothers) had requests for different photos. She stayed flexible enough to accommodate those requests but also stayed focused on what we wanted. When we wanted to take advantage of a break in rain and extend our beach photo time, she did that and got the most amazing shots. She also coached us through everything in a way that we were able to be candid and goofy but still get stunning photos. Then, she delivered our preview gallery faster than we expected and the full gallery blew our minds. I wish I lived in Hawaii so I could hire for every big moment!

The idea of eloping was a little scary at first, but Mersadi and her team exceeded our expectations in every way and stage of the process, and if we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing. Mersadi was amazing! Together with my Fiance, Mersadi pulled off the perfect proposal and captured the moment beautifully. Since posting the pictures via social media, several of my friends have reached out to say how wonderful the photos turned out. Mersadi knows how to capture the best angles, especially for a couple who is a little camera-shy! If you want gorgeous photos, you should definitely reach out to Mersadi!

My fiancé and I did long distance for 20 months while he was stationed in Hawaii. We booked Mersadi to do an engagement session before he left the island. Mersadi was very flexible and able to fit us in within a weeks time. She suggested locations and what to wear as well. We ended up shooting at a wonderful spot on the westside that had so many different backgrounds. My fiancé was not too keen on taking the engagement photos at first, but Mersadi helped pose us and made us feel at ease. It was a fun session and the photos turned out beautiful! If we come back to the island, we would definitely book a shoot with her! She's fun, upbeat and great behind the camera. You definitely will not regret booking any form of photography with Mersadi! If we were getting married in Oahu, we'd definitely see if she could shoot our wedding.

We had the pleasure of having Amanda, one of Mersadi's associates, do you engagement shoot. The experience was wonderful! Amanda was super helpful in giving us tips for posing, giving us ample time to change, and overall, we had so much fun! Mersadi was awesome with communication, coordinating the logistics up to the event. AND THE PHOTOS TURNED OUT TO BE MAGICAL! The vibe, the warmth in teh photos, it was PERFECT! 10/10 would recommend!

Mersadi is a Gem! My Fiance and I booked a photoshoot at our favorite spot on the Island. We thought we would look "awkward" but Mersadi made the process fun and simple as she guided us through the entire process :) The photos came out better than we could have hoped for.

When I first inquired about pictures she asks about an all about you to get to know you and see if you’re a great fit and then she responds to you asks questions and gets to know you as a couple with your spouse and then she sends over a contract which lays out all the information and it was so easy to sign and put the deposit down. So easy! I really loved how quick and responsive she is to any questions you may have and she even gave us a guide on what to wear. She has clear communication throughout and I felt really comfortable knowing if I had any other questions or inquiries she would answer right away. At first I felt really uncomfortable getting pictures taken (because I feel awkward in front of the camera) but she made it so much fun and the shots were absolutely incredible. She is an incredible photographer and her work speaks for itself. I loved getting to know her 1:1 during the photos and having a blast with my spouse. After the shoot she was quick to send us our photos to select the ones we wanted and it was such an easy and fast process! I recommend her to everybody!! It was such a great experience and we get to cherish these beautiful photos for forever. Mahalo!!

Mersadi and Jay were the best photo and video duo! I always enjoyed my talks with Mersadi leading up to the wedding, then on the wedding day she was always calm, cool, and on top of everything! I used to do photography myself, so I was super picky with finding a photographer, and immediately I fell in love with Mersadi’s work and how awesome of a person she is. She captures moments in such a journalistic approach, while also making the couple feel like models on their special day. You spend your whole day with your photographer and it’s important you and your partner get along with them. By the end of the day, my husband and I felt like we were reconnecting with old friends (with Mersadi and Jay) because they are just so down to earth and easy to get along with. As someone who’s always been behind the camera, I am terrible at being a “model” and Mersadi was always on top of adjusting my hair, giving me options with my hair styles and bouquet, and giving me posing techniques. Then as a huge bonus was the next day we got over 60 sneak peek photos! I couldn’t believe the turn around on those. We cannot wait for the full set and video, but based on what we already have, I know it’s going to be amazing. We hope to work again with Mersadi the next time we find ourselves in Hawaii. She and Jay are an amazing duo. Make sure you hire them, it’ll be the best decision you make!

Mersadi & Jay we’re amazing to work with. An elopement has its challenges as there is no friends/family to help with touch up’s, carrying your stuff, the little things you don’t think about! They helped with everything and made the day flow seamlessly. We enjoyed chatting with them and the photos could not of came out any more perfect. I’ve received endless compliments on their work from family and friends.

There is a reason there is nothing but five star reviews here. Mersadi and Jay are the DREAM TEAM. They photographed and filmed our micro wedding/elopement on the Big Island this year. Mersadi has a talent for capturing the raw and genuine moments. Jay can make a master film out of the most awkward of couples (🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️). The only thing I’m disappointed about is that we can’t hang out with them every day. They made us feel like family and friends from the moment we met them. I can’t recommend them enough!!

It's hard to put into words the magic of Mersadi, but simply put... SHE. IS. AMAZING. My husband and I are definitely awkward in front of the camera and aren't always the most photogenic, but it was really important to us to capture the day. Mersadi put us right at ease and was so easy to work with. We felt like we could completely be ourselves and all of her directions were seamless and natural. And can I just say… the final pictures were INCREDIBLE!!! Seriously in love with her work, and I honestly can’t stop scrolling through them! As a note we also decided to do the photo + videography package  and that was probably one of the best decisions. It made everything so easy to coordinate, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Mersadi and Jay were on it, and they are truly an incredible team. Their energy was just awesome to be around, and it was so nice to have them both there throughout the day.  I 100% can say it was an absolute privilege to having them capture our day!

She was there every step of the way during the ceremony and capturing special moments that I wasnt even aware of until i saw the pictures. shes amazing!. Mersadi Olsen Photography and Video was Amazing! I am writing this review having only seen the preview of my daughter's wedding photos....they are that good! The rich colors Mersadi caught in these photos is un like any wedding photo I've seen before. Not only are the photos amazing....her and her husband (who shot the video....which I haven't seen yet) are so nice! They blended right in and talked to a lot of the guests. Everyone loved them! We had canceled the year before (due to Covid) but they flew out this year to Santa Cruz, CA. The wedding was AGAIN canceled by the wedding venue the night before, due to weather, and pushed to another venue by our wonderful wedding planner. Mersadi and her husband showed up the next day at the new venue ready to go. They were easy to work with and professional! I would highly recommend them both!

Mersadi was INCREDIBLE. On booking, she's very professional - straight forward and to the point. Gives you the information you need and helps you to mold the type of day you want. She is thorough and detail oriented, and very responsive to messages as well. Our biggest concern was that we do not feel very comfortable in front of a camera and we didn't want that to show up in the photos. Mersadi made us feel comfortable, cracked jokes, and gave clear instructions, so all of the picture taking went very smoothly. And the pictures turned out amazing! Very unique looking, with deep colors and contrast. I really enjoyed working with her. Would definitely hire her again, without a doubt!!!!!!

We reached out to Mersadi for engagement photos once we had a last minute change of plans to our Maui trip. She was so responsive, quick, and accommodating. She set us up with one of her associate photographers, Thais, who is the sweetest person! She gave us great directions and made us feel 100% less awkward than we normally feel. My review is way overdue!! Mersadi is an outstanding photographer. She brings so much joy and beauty in the work she does and it is really reflected in the photos. I remember browsing through different photographer Instagram pages and the moment I came across hers I knew she was the one! Planning a wedding is already stressful enough, but she made it so easy when we had to make sudden changes to our wedding plans due to the pandemic. She even travelled to the Central Coast region of California in short notice (within 6 weeks) when we had to make sudden location changes (originally planned in Kauai). Can I add that she photographed my wedding on HER birthday?! She's amazing and you won't regret choosing her as your photographer. Her husband did the videography and it was so much fun working with both of them together. Nothing about their work felt staged. Their work is a dream. What a duo!

Mersadi Olson is the GOAT of photography!!! From her Artistry, Craft and ability to use nature to capture the Essence and Elegance of her subject is PHENOMENAL. I shared with her my vision for my 35th Birthday photo shoot and Mersadi delivered. Her knowledge of the island and beautiful location chosen for my session had me in AWE. The direction and guidance she provided along with her sweet spirit during the shoot made way for us to capture some of the most Amazing shots and allowed me to put my insecurities behind me. When my fiancé proposed to me, I was super surprised and to be honest, not well prepared to have photos take of me. But Mersadi and her husband have a magic touch and made me and him look incredible! You know how in your mind you imagine your photos to come out a certain way, so you buy clothes and put on make up, but for some reason it just isn't right? These two will help any modeling newbies to look natural, relaxed, and most importantly gorgeous. They also have this calming presence so even though my mind was racing a mile a minute, the photos came out sooo beautiful. They even helped my fiancé plan the location, timing, and helped him get some last minute stuff for the shoot!

We absolutely scored in being able to book Mersadi with our elopement date being less than one week out. We were coming from out of state and Mersadi jumped in and was extremely helpful with helping plan our day. She assisted with everything from location to make up artist recommendations and flowers (she even handled the ordering/transaction/pick-up!). Very easy to communicate with and such a fun and playful personality. We can't stop looking at our pics over here.

We booked Mersadi for a couples photo session and she went above and beyond! She found the perfect spot to take the photos and made my husband and I feel so comfortable. Seriously, choosing Mersadi as our wedding & engagement photographer was the BEST decision I made in planning my wedding. She made each of our sessions, personal, comfortable and so much fun. She captured my husbands and I’s personalities, took breathtaking candids and all my good angles. She’s so accommodating and will go to any lengths in providing the absolute best work. The day of our engagement shoot she treaded a four mile hike uphill, last minute notice, at 4 am to capture our sunrise shoot, not one complaint! Her down to earth and amazing vibe is everything! She is a true artist and professional, she worked hand and hand with my wedding coordinator & videographer exuding amazing teamwork. She made my life so easy on both my wedding day and the day of our engagement shoot. I love that she asked me to fill out a questionnaire to get to know my husband and I personally. The questionnaire was quick to fill out & understandable, it made me feel like we were both on the same page and shared the same vision. She read my mind and understood what memories I wanted to cherish forever, captured it and made it 1000000 times better than I could of ever imagined. Honestly speaking from the heart, best decision I made and we’re forever grateful for all her hard work and extra care she put into our wedding.

MERSADI IS A GIFT FROM HEAVEN!! Mersadi was super helpful from the very beginning. As I was planning this wedding alone, she jumped in to help guide me through the process and answer any questions I had. From creating a timeline and coordinating with vendors, I should've called her my co-wedding planner. As you can tell from her Instagram and website, she is all about photography and makes it look SO easy. I had booked her for 8 hours including the "get ready" stage, ceremony, dinner, sparkler entrance, speeches and cake cutting and she did not fail to capture every moment. I absolutely love all my candid photos from the day as she was so calm and laid back through it all. She took charge when needed and was flexible with timing and family requests. She was by far, my favorite vendor to work with and would recommend her to anyone!

Mersadi was amazing! She was so great to work with and she was SO MUCH FUN. I hadn’t met her until my wedding day and she just instantly felt like one of my friends. She knew what she was doing and was very professional as well. I got my pictures back really fast and am obsessed with them! They are perfect. I am so glad that I chose her as my photographer!

There are no words that could fully describe how wonderful Mersadi is. She helped us out so much in planning our Oahu elopement. She helped us choose our location, directed us to vendors-everything! She was so much fun to work with, she helped us feel so comfortable in taking photos. She made our day so special and it shows in our photos!
