WOW. Kristen with Method & Matte is truly a jewel of a photographer in Michigan. This is the kind of small business that makes you want to stay connected for life. From the very st...
art, Kristen exuded excitement, kindness, and attention to detail, while also understanding how stressful and overwhelming wedding planning can be.
She made it a priority to get to know my husband and me on a personal level, from grabbing coffee just to hang out, to making our engagement shoot so much fun. Those touchpoints gave us complete confidence in Kristen heading into our wedding day. Honestly, the #1 vendor I trusted most with my vision, hard work, and timeline was Method & Matte!
By the time our wedding arrived, we felt so comfortable working with Kristen and were grateful to lean on her guidance in the middle of all the nerves and chaos. Her partner, Dan, was an incredible support throughout the day, helping with photos, timing, and everything in between.
I cannot recommend this talented duo enough. Kristen gave us not just stunning photos, but also peace of mind, laughter, and joy along the way. We’re already looking forward to working with them again for future milestones!

n you need it to feel comfortable in front of the camera. From the planning stage all the way to the final event day, the whole process of getting wedding day photos was just that stress free-experience that every couple should have. Kristen, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! :)

r husband as well. Our wedding and engagement pictures capture our love story perfectly and I am obsessed. We are so lucky to have found Kristen and will be going through her for all our future photography needs!
Kristen and her partner/husband were very open to a variety of ideas and requests that we had for our engagement photos. We had many ideas (which may have been non traditional......
such as action photos of us riding bikes side by side?) to recreate some of our first dates for our engagement photos and she incorporated all of our ideas into the shoot. She was friendly, punctual, and prompt to return emails. We met over zoom to plan the shoot prior to the actual day - so we were all on the same page on the day of the shoot. She made us both feel comfortable on the day of the shoot. The end result was, in the words of my fiancé "an abundance of riches". We received several high quality photos where we both look great and the essence of us as a couple shines through. We have several "favourites" and it was hard not to frame the majority of the photos and hang them all over the house. We would have had Kristen do our wedding as well but we are getting married out of state. MANY friends and family members have told us how amazing our photos are as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

pictures taken but she kept making me laugh & hyping me up that it turned out to be really fun & it definitely showed in the photos. She’s really professional yet makes you feel very comfortable & relaxed. I’ve also seen the work she does for couples at weddings & wow!! I wish she was doing this when I got married. I highly recommend Kristen!

Kristen is an outstanding photographer. Our elopement was actually in May a couple years ago and very small. We opted not to hire a photographer, but looking back, we kinda wish w...
e did. Because of that, my wife wanted to get out to do some couples photos for our anniversary with Kristen this year since we skipped 2020 due to the pandemic. Our shoot with Kristen was AWESOME. The photos came out so well and we are very happy with our album. Thanks Kristen!! Would love to do this again!
