Scott was amazing! Super easy to work with and spoke with us ahead of time to check in about specific shots we wanted for our wedding. He did a beautiful job capturing our special day and we cannot stop looking through the gorgeous album he put together for us. I would recommend Scott to anyone looking for a photographer!

Scott exceeded our very high expectations. Starting months ahead of the wedding, he did our engagement photo shoot, and he was flexible on both time and location. Leading up to the wedding day, Scott communicated well with us to create a timeline for pictures before the wedding including even suggesting unique local sites. Scott was very efficient, taking seemingly hundreds of photos in just a few minutes, and still made sure our wedding day was fun. During the actual wedding, he balanced taking photos and letting us enjoy the party. His photos captured candid moments, natural expressions, and creative unique shots.

It was a dream working with Scott for our wedding. We seriously could not have asked for a better photographer. He was so easy to work with and did the best job capturing our day and not to mention how easy and fun he made taking the portraits. He had our whole wedding party smiling and laughing the whole time and made my fiance and I so comfortable with the all the different poses. The portraits turned out so perfect and I also highly recommend getting the photo album from Scott, ours was so perfect. Scott is truly INCREDIBLE!!!!!! He did my wedding at the Oceanview of Nanant November 2023. Honestly I want to start by saying thank you to Scott because he captured moments that I am so thankful to have. Moments I didn't see or wouldn't have thought of documenting. Photographer Scott Metzger of Metzger Studios Scott photographed our wedding in August of 2023 and we could not recommend him more. We knew of his incredible work as he had shot the groom’s sister’s wedding a few years before. The photos from that wedding were creative, artistic, and, simply put, stunning. It didn’t take much to convince either one of us to go with him as we were both drawn to his unique style and original point of view. Scott was so easy to work with, right from the first time we contacted him. All of his responses were timely and professional, whether via email or phone. We met via Zoom to discuss his services and pricing and immediately felt at ease. For an incredibly fair price, we got Scott and a second photographer (Kathy) for 8 hours. Also included was an album with 60 retouched photos, a thumb drive with all the photos taken, and an incredibly sweet blog post highlighting some of the gorgeous photos from our day. He also guaranteed that if he couldn’t make it on the day of the wedding for whatever reason, he would provide a back-up photographer for us. On the actual wedding day, we gave Scott complete artistic license to bring our day to life through photos. His work with reflections is so second to none; it’s so interesting to see ourselves reflected in a wine glass or a table top. He did a great job corralling our large families to get all the shots we had asked for, especially given that the sun was setting and the natural light was quickly disappearing. He kept everyone on task and did it in such a way that it only enhanced our experience with him. Many of our friends and family complimented Scott's (and Kathy’s) professionalism and willingness to accommodate any requests that our guests made of him for their own unique pictures all while making sure we were his priority throughout the day. After the wedding, Scott created a beautiful slideshow on YouTube that we were able to show our guests. It so perfectly encapsulated our day, especially given how quickly it seemed to pass for both of us. We cannot recommend Scott Metzger enough. His artistic vision is eye-catching and visually appealing. He is very fairly priced and incredibly easy to work with. If you’re looking for a photographer with an artistic eye and that listens to what you want out of your photos, please consider Scott.

After attending a friend’s wedding, seeing Scott in action, and seeing how their photos came out, we knew right away that Scott was going to be our first choice for a wedding photographer. Two years later… we are beyond happy that we chose Scott as our wedding photographer! He is the absolute best! Scott captured our day perfectly and efficiently. My wife and I found Scott through our wedding venue at Zukas. As soon as he showed us his portfolio we knew he was the perfect photographer for our wedding. Leading up to the wedding he communicated very well so we had no worries before the wedding. The day of the wedding him and his helper were very professional and most importantly they were very creative with the photography. Through out our wedding day they were extremely easy to communicate with and made our wedding day alot easier because of it. The final results were better than we could of imagined. I met Scott when he was photographing my friend's wedding during COVID, and was impressed by his talent, creativity and friendliness. We hired him as our wedding photographer, and was so glad we did! He was super responsive, and so supportive on the day of the wedding. His portfolio and editing skills were also very impressive. We knew right away we wanted to have Scott shoot our wedding. His photography is simply excellent - composing shots that are far more than the typical cookie-cutter poses other photographers offer. Scott is a true professional and is all around a great guy. We hired Scott for our wedding in August 2023, and we could not be more thrilled with the results. He was very accommodating to any needs or requests we had, and he was great at keeping us on schedule throughout the day. I’m so glad we chose Scott as our wedding photographer! He did both our engagement photos and those on our wedding day, and each shoot was fun, relaxed, and packed with creativity. He was always on his toes in his surroundings, looking for the next shot. He would set up one, and seem to think of the next three ideas right there and run with it. He was very professional, and quick to respond to all of my emails. His quote and contract were very clear, and there were no surprises when it came to what we would be paying for his services. I will always recommend Scott for any type of professional photography. I truly believe that no one else could have captured how lighthearted and whimsical our wedding day was quite like him.

Another 5 star review for Scott and he deserves it! Before we even got our photos back everyone told us how much they liked him because he's so creative and sets up such fun shots. He commands the group very well (which is important when you have so many shots to get) but is incredibly nice. The preview photos were posted quickly, and watching the slideshow was like reliving the day in the best way. He documented everything so beautifully and creatively. He also carefully retouches the images afterwards, and prints them creating true treasures. 10/10 would use Scott again!!! Everyone loved him.

Scott was great to work with from the start. He was very responsive and answered all our questions, I even sent him a copy of the wedding day timeline to ensure he agreed and had enough time to capture the shots we wanted. On our wedding day I can tell Scott & his assistant Patrick had a creative eye from the start. He wanted us to be comfortable and have fun with the shots. Throughout the day we rolled with the punches and even got some fun shots based on what was around us. Every photo came out amazing and makes it hard to pick pictures to print & add to our album. Scott was our absolute favorite vendor of the night. Not only did he look amazing in his nature vest, but he did an incredible job with his photos. We were blown away by Scott's professionalism and talent from the moment we met him. When we talked with him about what we wanted in terms of capturing the day, he listened and went above and beyond. We wanted a combination of some staged shots and the candid raw moments throughout the day, and some of our favorite pictures are the candid moments. Scott Metzger is a photo-genius! When my daughter announced she planned a Lexington Town Hall within the month, with only a dozen immediate relatives, I began frantically searching for a local photographer. To be honest, while immediately enchanted by Metzger Studios portfolio with award winning acclaim, I feared Scott would be both unaffordable and unavailable. However, once Scott and I touched base by phone I was delighted to find Metzger Studios available in town for the Tuesday afternoon booked, and offering a reasonable package to suit our needs. Within just over a two hour span, Scott produce an array of over 300 photos so fabulous, my daughter hesitated to let me post them on social media at first for fear her friends she's had an elaborate full scale wedding and not invited them! None of us had any wedding planning experience, so Scot, like a seasoned pro, lightly guided us as needed to capture phenomenal photos capturing memories that will last a lifetime. From the start, Scott has been nothing but patient and accommodating. We had a Covid wedding, right when the events were limited to 10 people and Scott was very understanding and helpful while we were navigating these obstacles. From the start setting up our engagement shoot to having to push our wedding off a full 18 months due to COVID- Scott really worked with us on finding a new date to work so we could continue to work together! Scott and Javier did such an amazing job for my wedding. I had found them through some friends and ended up booking about 2 years out, so I had lots of down time before I actually had a chance to meet with them. Throughout those two years, Scott was always incredibly receptive and helpful when I reached out - even if it was just to make sure we were still on track, or just to say hello. By the time the wedding rolled around, Scott had eased every fear I had - he found a location for first look photos near the venue, had coached me on what kind of shots I might want to have, and had worked with me to figure out the timing of everything for the big day. I'll admit that my new husband and I aren't the most comfortable in front of the camera but Scott did an amazing job of keeping us smiling, happy, and looking natural throughout all of our photos. Javier was also an incredible addition to the team and acted like a guest at our wedding (in the best possible way - blending in to the crowds so he could grab shots from the middle of the action, and getting my 90 year old Nana out on the dance floor. I think she ended the night with a crush!) There was truly no angle spared, and I felt like Scott stayed for as long as I needed him to - well beyond what most photographers afford their clients! On the day of the wedding, I had a problem with my form of payment and Scott could not have been nicer about it - assuring me not to worry, and being willing to accept the second installment a couple days late because of it. Since the wedding, Scott has been prompt with communication/follow up and I could not be happier with the photos. I would highly recommend Scott and his team to anyone!

Everyone knows weddings are stressful. Everyone wants things to go as near perfect as they can get it. Especially with photos which will last a life time. Scott and his second in command Javier did what we were hoping for and so much more on top of that. We were a pandemic couple who had to reschedule many times. Scott was always in constant communication and was extremely flexible with us. I cannot speak more highly about the work Scott and his team captured for our wedding. I was originally supposed to get married in May 2020. We had to postpone our wedding THREE times due to Covid. Scott was so flexible and kind and accommodating the whole entire almost 4 years we were working together through this. It was worth the wait, because Scott's photographs were AMAZING. Scott was absolutely AMAZING! Scott was a wonder to work with. From the first email, he was kind, personable, and easy to communicate with. He always responded quickly and was very patient with all of our questions. Fast forward to the wedding day, and Scott and his assistant Javier were incredible! Justian and I hired Scott Metzger to be our wedding photographer, and we were never happier with our decision. When researching different photographers, Scott immediately stood out. We completely fell in love with his style of art from the very beginning. Scott proved very easy to work with, including his flexibility, as we had to re-schedule the wedding due to the pandemic. When the big day finally arrived, the entire wedding party had a blast working with him and Javier, (second shooter for the day). Scott was great to work with. On the day of the event - he gave great direction while still being open to anything I wanted to have photographed. What I was most impressed with was that he was able to get a group shot of 160 people without it being painful. I also loved that he stayed the entire reception without needing to to keep getting great candid photos of the dance floor. After the event, he was timely with getting over initial photos and the wedding album. I couldn't be happier with how the photos came out.

We did a lot of research on photographers, but knew IMMEDIATELY we wanted Scott after seeing his work and speaking with him. Such a nice guy and his photography is phenomenal! Multiple people have reached out to us telling us our photography was the most beautiful they've seen from any wedding. His assistant was great and he was a lot of fun to work with! Also the turnaround time on our photos was astounding, especially when taken into account how busy Scott is with the pandemic wedding boom! Our wedding was delayed by a year due to the pandemic, and while a lot of aspects and vendors changed, we were happy to stick with Scott through all of the ups and downs. Scott went the extra mile for every part of the process. We chose him because of his creative style and impressive portfolio and he did not disappoint! Other than marrying my husband, choosing Scott as my photographer was the best decision I made! His creativity and uniqueness is second to none. From the moment he started taking pictures, to the end of the night, he made sure to capture all the moments. I was thrilled to have his assistant photograph the guys while Scott stayed with me. Scott has to be the BEST- photographer around! We had a little trouble finding a photographer and our videographer gave us three recommendations for one. After the recommendations he said “with all those being said- If Scott Metzger is available grab him. You will have no regrets” how lucky we got landing Scott amazes me!!! Coincidentally, after booking with Scott we found out that our best friends also had Scott as their photographer. Their wedding was a month before ours so we got to see all of Scotts work. Scott Metzger is one of the most talented wedding photographers I’ve ever personally come across. Not only does he have talent, he also happens to be an extremely nice person! Lots of ups and downs through our journey to finalize our photography plan with Scott, but in the end, we were so glad we worked with him! The resulting pictures were fantastic! Scott is fantastic. We got married during the pandemic and we were a little worried about how this whole wedding thing would turn out -- but photos were NOT a concern. Scott was professional (wore his mask and didn't pressure any guests to remove theirs if they weren't comfortable) and creative. He took AMAZING shots and we couldn't be happier with the results. When we saw his portfolio we had a great feeling about him -- I'm glad I went with my gut on hiring him! The best decision I made for my wedding day (besides marrying my husband) was hiring Scott! We got married March 2021 and due to the pandemic we never were certain about, anything really. My husband and I found Scott Metzger through a search on The Knot in 2019. He is a true professional. We met over the phone for a consult, where we told him our hopes, dreams and must haves for our special day. On our Wedding Day, he enlisted the help of his assistant to capture moments of the men getting ready while he stayed with the women to do the same. Throughout the ceremony and reception, the pair zeroed in on the fine details among the major moments - leaving us with very hard decisions to make during photo selection time. A few days after the wedding, he published a slideshow set to one of our favorite songs to show off the highlights. After 500+ days, we finally ordered our album. It's amazing! We are so pleased with how it turned out. The way the pictures flow together tells the perfect story of how we remember that whirlwind of a day. The only downside to working with such a professional is that you don't have rights to the photos (ie you choose the photos you want to purchase from a password protected gallery and place your order with Scott). Depending on how many special photo orders you need to make, it could get a bit pricey.

We could not have had a better photographer than Scott! We got married back in September 2008 and finally got around to completing our album selections this year - life, ya know? The day we got married, Tropical Storm Hanna hit Massachusetts, and we had planned a beach ceremony. Scott never complained when we said we were going to continue with the ceremony outside (thankfully, we had a brief respite with the rain), and we could not be happier with the quality of the pictures he took at both the ceremony and reception. He even took some pictures of my grandmother and I prior to the ceremony, as she fell and needed to be taken to the hospital to be checked out. (She was fine!) Those pictures are some of my favorites, and remain so to this day. Scott's style was a perfect combination of traditional and photojournalistic - he managed to capture the personalities of our friends and family, as well as the light-hearted tone of the day. Scott is a passionate and a skilled photographer with an eye for details. He makes sure that lighting, angle, subjects and everything else in his frame are in perfect harmony to convey the emotions of the couple. He photographed both our engagement and wedding and both turned out much nicer than we could imagine. In both the events he came earlier than the starting time we proposed. Before we reached the site, he already checked the surroundings and set his camera in proper position. The best thing we loved about him that he continuously gave us nice direction that made us look really beautiful and candid at the same time in photos. We received a lot of compliments from our friends and families about our photos. We cannot give enough thanks to Scott for that. On top of the photography skill, Scott has an amazing personality and very good sense of humor, making it incredibly easier to work with him.

Scott was our photographer for our New Year's Eve wedding. He was on time, attentive and SO creative. Most of the day he was a fly on the wall, he captured the most amazing moments of our day while barely being noticed! He paid close attention to detail and didn't miss any of our 'must-have' shots. It was New Year's Eve in New England and he had us out on the harbor for some amazing shots that we will cherish forever. Scott delivered our photos SO quickly as well! I was married on March 14, 2020 and the complete uncertainty about the day and the minute by minute changes that were happening with coronavirus absolutely put a very strange feeling on the day, but Scott was incredibly professional and I'm so thankful and appreciative of his being there among the start of weirdness! I was absolutely a bride that did not want to spend by day posing and was most interested in his unbelievable candid photos! The photos he took of our day are so much fun to look at because they complete capture the feeling, emotion and fun of the day. He of course took all the formal photos that you'd want to have and they were beautiful. He also took many that were so creative, I didn't even know I wanted! I still can't get enough of looking back at everyone on the dance floor and the joy and energy of the day. We didn't have a videographer, but I almost feel like I didn't need it because those pictures really bring me back - and are so much fun to look at while we're spending so much time at home!

My husband and I decided to inquire Metzger Studios after being at a venue and looking through albums. Every album we were drawn to was from this studio. The first time we met Scott we knew he was the perfect person to capture our day. He had a great personality, an awesome sense of humor and his love for photography and his edits was evident. The day of the wedding Scott arrived on time and ready to start. He asked hair and makeup artists if he could adjust the lighting for a brief time to get some shots. He worked so quickly hair and makeup didn't miss a beat. The makeup artist actually said "I'm hiring him if I get married!" At the wedding Scott and his assistant continued to exceed our expectations. Scott seemed to have his eye on everyone at all times. He would approach my husband and I at the perfect moment, where we had a good amount of downtime, and steal us for some photos. He worked so efficiently I'm not sure if he was taking a hundred photos in 5 minutes or it just felt like 5 minutes! He is an incredibly talented photographer but also a genuinely great person!

I found Scott through two of my friends who had him as their wedding photographer. I was so impressed with how professional and talented he was and also loved the way their pictures looked. I knew when we got engaged and started planning our wedding that we would ask him to be a part of our wedding day too. We planned our Boston wedding from California, and then Ohio, and he was very easy to work with throughout the whole process leading up to our wedding. On the day of our wedding, he was prompt, professional, thorough and captured all of the images we wanted on that day. He was even great about getting four separate photos of my husband and my maternal and paternal families (which I asked him to get that day). Getting four different, chatty and large groups of people to focus and smile is no easy task but he did amazing and my family all wanted copies. He was also very prompt with editing the photos and getting them back to us shortly after our wedding. We had such a hard time narrowing photos to include in our album because he captured so many great ones!! When we finally narrowed it down, he turned them into a beautiful album that we will cherish for years to come. Scott was the greatest! So professional. Kept the whole day running smoothing and I had a semi-large bridal party with around 25 people so it was so great to be able to rely on him to keep things moving get people in place and where they needed to be. Not normal to say about a photographer, but something I thought was so amazing, is there were times where I didn't even notice Scott - and I mean that in a good way! Getting the pictures back I would say wow! I didn't realize he was even standing there or how did he get that shot?! It was great!! He stayed through the whole reception and even longer and I just really appreciated all he brought to the day. He is affordable and does beautiful, creative work. Highly recommend to all! :)

Scott is both a wonderful photographer and person! He was our wedding photographer July 2017 when my husband and I got married in Gloucester MA. We found him through a wedding website (I forget which one) and I scheduled an in-person meeting with him where he showed me his beautiful work. We have been recommending him to friends/family since. He is very affordable, which is important when dealing with overwhelming wedding costs. He's dedicated to detail and took some of the most unique/beautiful photos to capture our day.
