iately knew he was the one to capture our big day. He went above and beyond in record breaking temperatures to ensure our engagement shoot was absolutely perfect. He communicated with us frequently throughout the year between our engagement shoot and our wedding day to keep us updated and make sure our timeline was perfect and all of our special moments were captured. He showed up early the day of our wedding to capture the most beautiful getting ready pictures and detail shots and took time to make sure our bridal party pictures were perfect despite our VERY large wedding party. Neither one of us feel comfortable in front of the camera but he truly made us feel like the camera wasn’t there & captured the most beautiful pictures throughout the day that truly tell the story of our wedding day. He spent so much time with us while also allowing us the space to enjoy our day while capturing special moments. Not to mention he spent several hours in the snow and freezing cold temperatures ensuring we got the perfect shots. Based on experiences our married friends have shared, we anticipated to wait weeks-months for our photos but Scott delivered them promptly and sent a print for us and our two sets of parents. He was exceptional and we could not ask for a better photographer for our wedding day and would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

We did an engagement photo session with him where he had plenty of location suggestions to guide us in what we envisioned, and then brought takeaways from that session into our wedding day. My husband and I are very casual and love a good crowd! Our wedding guest attendance was ~180 people and a majority under 30 so it was LIVELY to say the least. Scott captured all the high energy fun in his creative shots and moved around the venue space seamlessly to secure the key moments. Our sunset pictures and final wedding album came out absolutely stunning! I must also mention that my bridesmaids and I were an hour late to First Look photos but Scott managed to get us all in line just in time for ceremony! I recommend him!

wedding day, Scott communicated well with us to create a timeline for pictures before the wedding including even suggesting unique local sites. Scott was very efficient, taking seemingly hundreds of photos in just a few minutes, and still made sure our wedding day was fun. During the actual wedding, he balanced taking photos and letting us enjoy the party. His photos captured candid moments, natural expressions, and creative unique shots.

The portraits turned out so perfect and I also highly recommend getting the photo album from Scott, ours was so perfect. he groom’s sister’s wedding a few years before. The photos from that wedding were creative, artistic, and, simply put, stunning. It didn’t take much to convince either one of us to go with him as we were both drawn to his unique style and original point of view. Scott was so easy to work with, right from the first time we contacted him. All of his responses were timely and professional, whether via email or phone. We met via Zoom to discuss his services and pricing and immediately felt at ease. For an incredibly fair price, we got Scott and a second photographer (Kathy) for 8 hours. Also included was an album with 60 retouched photos, a thumb drive with all the photos taken, and an incredibly sweet blog post highlighting some of the gorgeous photos from our day. He also guaranteed that if he couldn’t make it on the day of the wedding for whatever reason, he would provide a back-up photographer for us. On the actual wedding day, we gave Scott complete artistic license to bring our day to life through photos. His work with reflections is so second to none; it’s so interesting to see ourselves reflected in a wine glass or a table top. He did a great job corralling our large families to get all the shots we had asked for, especially given that the sun was setting and the natural light was quickly disappearing. He kept everyone on task and did it in such a way that it only enhanced our experience with him. Many of our friends and family complimented Scott's (and Kathy’s) professionalism and willingness to accommodate any requests that our guests made of him for their own unique pictures all while making sure we were his priority throughout the day. After the wedding, Scott created a beautiful slideshow on YouTube that we were able to show our guests. It so perfectly encapsulated our day, especially given how quickly it seemed to pass for both of us. We cannot recommend Scott Metzger enough. His artistic vision is eye-catching and visually appealing. He is very fairly priced and incredibly easy to work with. If you’re looking for a photographer with an artistic eye and that listens to what you want out of your photos, please consider Scott.

I'll admit that my new husband and I aren't the most comfortable in front of the camera but Scott did an amazing job of keeping us smiling, happy, and looking natural throughout all of our photos. Javier was also an incredible addition to the team and acted like a guest at our wedding (in the best possible way - blending in to the crowds so he could grab shots from the middle of the action, and getting my 90 year old Nana out on the dance floor. I think she ended the night with a crush!) There was truly no angle spared, and I felt like Scott stayed for as long as I needed him to - well beyond what most photographers afford their clients! On the day of the wedding, I had a problem with my form of payment and Scott could not have been nicer about it - assuring me not to worry, and being willing to accept the second installment a couple days late because of it. Since the wedding, Scott has been prompt with communication/follow up and I could not be happier with the photos. I would highly recommend Scott and his team to anyone!
