He is so personable and we were delighted to have his wife Donna accompany him, who was also extremely sweet and helpful. We feel that his service was very affordable and that the service you get from him is worth every penny. The system for choosing your music is very straightforward and he was able to easily edit our first dance song for us. We highly recommend Don as a DJ and can’t thank him enough for giving us the best night of our lives!

They will help you create a timeline that works best for your event, curate your vibe, keep people on the dance floor all night long, and allow you to enjoy about your event without worrying about a thing. Throughout the planning process, Don and Ted met with us several times to organize and iron out any and all details, but also we would just have a good time chatting with each other. At the wedding, our guests asked us if our DJs were personal friends of ours, because we got along so well and had such a good relationship formed throughout our planning process. We had several requests throughout planning to help personalize our music, vibes, etc. and Ted seamlessly integrated them throughout our event. Day of, we made some last-minute changes with our timeline, and Ted provided us with solutions and transitions that made our day go so smoothly. He also MC'ed all night long with perfection. Our guests were always ready for what was coming next, as well as making sure we were prepared as well :) They truly will go above and beyond to make your event exactly what you want it to be, and we are so grateful to have found them.

or, but only played 2 slow songs that we wanted and 1 that was not on our playlist (could have been a request, not sure). I understand wanting to keep the party atmosphere going, but I was very sad when I realized all the songs that got missed because of this decision. I personally feel that a wedding DJ should play the songs that the couple wants him/her to play, regardless of how the guests are reacting. Otherwise, Don was great at communicating with us beforehand and had forms to fill out on his website that were simple and covered all the bases. He even had song recommendations for things such as cake cutting, which we took advantage of a few times. If you are someone who lives for the party vibes, then Don is a great choice for your DJ!

as both A) what we wanted to listen to and B) a great mix to keep people on the dance floor. He went the extra mile to help pull off a surprise for the groom (me). We wholeheartedly recommend him for anyone needing a DJ for any event!

from the beginning that Mike would be our DJ, we then had 2 follow ups with Mike. Don even kindly mixed a song for our father daughter dance! Mike was AMAZING! He played what requested and built an awesome set list off of it. People of all ages complemented our DJ and how everyone was on the floor more than once. He was also very professional in making sure that all other vendors were ready when he transitioned. I can’t imagine a different DJ! Thank you!!

s to mix all our music into the day. On the day of the wedding, he helped make sure everything went smoothly and created a perfect flow of music from cocktail hour to dinner to the last song. We also had live musicians play and he graciously made sure they were included and celebrated. He did a great job and made us feel like the day was really "ours".

met with Don and Chris about two weeks before the wedding and went over the details of the event. We discussed several details at length. Following the meeting, I sent a detailed schedule of events to Don and he said he would be sure to share them with Chris. However, on the day of the wedding, Chris didn't know how to pronounce the groom's first name. So as we were coming into the reception, he had to ask us. We felt like, first he should have known our names and second, there were several people he could have asked besides us.... our wedding coordinator, or bridal party for example. 2. We had explicitly said that we would be changing clothes prior to our first dance. It was also listed right on the timeline he was following and he went ahead and introduced our first dance before we changed leaving us to awkwardly have to tell him to play a few songs while we went off to change. 3. We had specifically requested that "This Will Be an Everlasting Love" as the last song. We even talked about this at our meeting prior to the reception and said we didn't care what the second to last song was just so long as the last song was correct. Chris pulled my husband aside and asked him what to play second to last. My husband said he really didn't have an opinion. So Chris suggested the song from Dirty Dancing which was fine with us. But, then he played the songs out of order anyway so we didn't end the night with the right song and awkwardly ended on a song that we weren't expecting. There were other small issues throughout the night and overall we were left feeling pretty frustrated. We reached out to Don after the wedding to share our concerns and he pretty much brushed them aside stating that he had never had issues with Chris before. I will say on a positive note, that we had several kids at the wedding and since we had two spaces, Chris did play music for the kids so that they would have something fun to do while the speeches were going on.

e ended up having Chris and we were disappointed with several things. The main thing was that he did not follow the agenda during the ceremony and didn’t end up playing an important song. If you can get Don, it would probably be fine, but I would not recommend Chris.

He was wonderful with announcing tables and moving things along at our wedding, played great music and he just made it all EASY. Which is how it should be! We can’t speak highly enough of Don and his company.

Our pre-planning meetings put us totally at ease because it was clear that he had everything taken care of! using his company, I thought I need to thank you!! Everything was perfect, not a single mistake. He was so knowledgeable with music and gave a ton of suggestions. We had to move our wedding due to COVID and Don was so easy to work with and so helpful to make us feel that no matter what he will be our DJ for our Big Day no matter when! I have already referred Don to 3 of my friends and I know moving forward he will always be who I tell to use for someone else's Big Day. We had so many of our guest compliment on how awesome our DJ was!!! Thank you Don so much for making our Wedding so fun and entertaining!!!

en our officiant knocked over a water bottle and cut the music during our ceremony. His meetings with us beforehand gave us great confidence that he was going to fit in everything we wanted, including some sorority/fraternity traditions and requested songs. Our wedding was a blast and Don helped keep the party going the entire time.

WE love music, good music- classic rock, disco, classic hits, funk, etc. Just great tunes to dance to boogie too and Don was well up to the task to help us put an awesome playlist and production together. The music was so good, we had many of our 114 guests- all ages- compliment us on the music all night long. "I havent heard that song in years!" "Wow the music was really good, like really good!" We had a lot of fun working with Don because of his years of experience and knowledge of great old music and not just the stereotypical same old lame wedding songs. We were really able to make it our own. We could tell he enjoyed working with us too since we agreed on a lot of the music we chose. Don is also very good at moving the reception along and handles any things that may arise as to bother the bride and groom too much on their special day so they can enjoy. He has a great passion for what he does and that shines through. Aside from everything else, he is just a great guy. He too wants you to have a good time! We hope to cross paths with Don again in the future, we felt we really developed a good friendship with him.

DJ in Indianapolis came to meet us there and worked with us for our wedding in May 2019. He made the process so easy for us, even finding a certain version of Canon in D that I could only find streamed on Amazon Prime! His online website is full of song ideas to help you create your perfect ceremony/reception. And our reception was a true dance party, for ALL ages. He played such a good mix of oldies and new songs and people never left the dance floor. Trust us, book Don for your wedding NOW!!

He took time to meet with us and really learn about our music taste and that of our families so that he could create the perfect wedding mix. Don was early to our wedding and worked with our officiant and coordinator to make sure every part of the ceremony and reception would run as smoothly as possible. And I kid you not, our friends and family were on the dance floor ALL NIGHT. He somehow brought my rap-loving family and my husband's country-loving family together for a night of endless dancing and memories. I would book Don 1000 times over. I didn't have to worry about what song was playing or when-he had everything down perfect. He communicated with us so well throughout the whole time we worked together. I have had many of my wedding guests mention to me how great of a job Don did. I really can't say enough great things about him!

recorded from a live performance. MGS DJs was able to clean it up and remove applause, they made it perfect! Also, they were reasonably priced and not pushy (like some other DJs I talked to). We were all exhausted and sore from dancing so much for so long!

Mike played every song we asked for during the ceremony and the reception dinner, and then played a great mix of dance songs during the later parts of the reception, respecting our requests and tastes, and filling in the spaces with great song choices. Mike was entirely professional and attentive on our wedding day, and he moved the reception along smoothly. We would highly recommend MGS for any central Indiana wedding, especially if you want a DJ company that can help give peace of mind and take a load off during wedding planning.

ong requests were not at all common, but he got them for us without a question. My groom surprised me with an acoustic song during the reception. He and Don worked it out beforehand so everything was set up to go off without a hitch. Our guests complimented how great he was, he can feel out a crowd to know what to play and when to play it. I would recommend him for any of your party needs!

He was flexible when we needed to change something last-minute, and everything was perfect. He paid special attention to name pronunciations when announcing the bridal party, too. His voice wasn't super loud or invasive, either. He didn't try to steal the show, and he made sure to keep the flow going throughout the night. He gave me and my groom a big hug at the end of the night and thanked us for letting him DJ our wedding. We have also heard great things about Don, another DJ within the same company. We originally requested Don but we were absolutely satisfied and impressed with Mike. We would recommend him in a heartbeat. Also one of the best prices we had seen in our search for a DJ... Can't beat it!
