y vision was. On the day-of, Teresa did all the make-up (and my hair) while her assistant focused on the hair for my girls. My mother (hair and make-up) and grandmother (make-up) also looked absolutely gorgeous, and were able to meet their requests of natural looking makeup. Since I had to plan from states away, I felt that communication between Mi Amore and myself could have been better. I felt that emails were often unanswered for a couple weeks...but if I was able to meet face-to-face with Teresa, I think communication would have been better!

I did a trial with Cherlyn also and am so glad I did because it gave me so much peace of mind in the months leading up to the wedding. Teresa was very easy to work with during the booking/planning stages, as well. Overall, highly recommended!

g me in on the day of my wedding. She had another wedding booked later that day so her and her team came in the morning to service myself and bridal party. She did an amazing job. I believe it was a blessing in disguise that this happened.

ould be weeks until I heard a response. Not good for a bride trying to plan a wedding. I hired Teresa to take care of my bridesmaids and me (9) and my mothers, a total of 11 women. We needed to be done by 2:30 and Teresa scheduled us for 6 am. Needless to say my sisters with children found that nearly impossible and dropped out. I told Teresa that 9:30 would have to work and she couldn't do that either, she did 9am. Once she showed up around 10, 10:30 (coming from another wedding..hmm..) my bridesmaids asked me if we had a problem because she had an obvious chip on her shoulder and was not professional or kind to them. She rushed through us all and had to go to another wedding around noon. The woman she had with her doing our hair was great and the only reason she's getting any stars. She took her time, about an hour with each girl and they looked great. With me it was about a half an hour and not the same style I showed her. My hair had to be redone. I am very disappointed in the services rendered. I hope no other bride has the same appalling experience I had.

ad a second hair and makeup trial, just to make sure I knew what I wanted. After my trials, I wasn't worried at all. I loved the way my hair and makeup looked. Teresa was not the best at getting back into contact with me through phone calls or emails, but that was alright. I wasn't too concerned about it. BUT, the real problem was on the wedding day. On the wedding day, even though I booked Teresa and was told that's who would be doing our hair and makeup...someone else came. Someone else did the hair for all of my bridesmaids, aunt, friends, mother, sister, etc. The other person showed up around 6 AM, and Teresa didn't show up until almost noon (my first look was supposed to be at 11:30). Teresa was late, and the other lady told me that it was because she booked another wedding that morning. Are you kidding? I have a 6:00 appointment and you think you can book someone else before me? I reaIly wanted her to do my hair and makeup. She didn't get there until about two hours before my ceremony. I was supposed to have a first look with my fiance, but I missed it because my hair and makeup weren't done...because Teresa was LATE. Yes, late on my wedding day. To top it off, my hair and makeup looked completely different than they had in either trial. I HATED HOW I LOOKED ON MY WEDDING DAY. I still look back at my photos and hate how I look. My hair was not what I wanted at all, but there wasn't time to change it because by the time she was finished it was time for me to walk down the aisle. Booking Mi Amore Event Hair and Makeup Artistry was the only thing that went wrong on my wedding day. But, this was a huge mistake. I now hate how my wedding photos look because I didn't feel pretty on my big day. Everyone bride wants to look and feel beautiful on her wedding. If that's what you'd like too...please don't book Mi Amore. In fact, if you'd like to have a stress-free day...then, I most definitely would not book with her. She was late on my wedding day and I was unable to relax and enjoy getting ready with my bridesmaids because of it. It still makes me sad that I didn't feel beautiful on my wedding day and that I hated how my hair looked. Please do yourself a favor and book with someone else.

I have never felt so beautiful and confident and I have them to thank for that! On top of them being amazing at what the do, they are so fun to be around, and very professional to ensure everything runs like clockwork! All of our makeup and hair stayed throughout the entire night even though we were all outside, dancing, and crying. Thank you again Teresa! It was amazing!!

f fun. Very personable and had yearssss of makeup experience. I chose to have the airbrushed version while my maids elected to go with the normal foundation method. I was not disappointed with the airbrushing and it stayed put the entire day and night. I appreciated that my artist was willing to go through a few pairs of fake eyelashes in order to get it just right for my preference. I wanted a classic look with a pop in the eyes and my desires were brought to life. Pricing was great...id say even in the lesser expensive side compared to other competitors. She could even charge more based on the quality of services we received. Communication was great. I've recommended this company to many friends and will continue to do so.

re what I wanted. My hair looked great and she was able to easily tone down my makeup when I was afraid of it being too dark. The trial went well and on the wedding day she remembered exactly what I wanted. On the wedding day they had to start early in the morning, but our hair and makeup lasted the whole day with no touch-ups. It was nice to be able to relax in our hotel room and have them come to us. I was a little nervous when I had my hair and makeup trial about a month before the wedding, but I told her how I wanted to feel and she gave me exactly what I wanted!!! She listened to me, made modifications at my request, and made sure I left satisfied and with enough photographic evidence so that we could recreate the look on my wedding day. On my wedding morning (Aug 30), Teresa and her assistant were 10 minutes early, and got right to work with myself, 2 moms, 6 bridesmaids, and a flowergirl. She was very professional, and worked quickly and efficiently. Every single one of my bridesmaids were very happy with their hair, and I got exactly what I wanted! Personally, my hair survived from 3:00pm before the wedding, through 2 hours of pictures (outside in the humidity), the entire wedding ceremony and reception, and when we finally closed a bar down after our reception at 3:00am, it was still in fantastic shape! I also ended up getting my makeup airbrushed, and from the pictures that I have seen, it looks even, smooth, and very natural. In short, Teresa was professional, competent, and everything I could have asked for as my hair and makeup professional on my wedding day. I am happy to have found her and would gladly recommend her to anyone in the Detroit area getting married ... she can give you exactly what you want!

do not wear makeup at all most days of the week but I had her do the airbrush makeup and I still looked like me. I loved my makeup! It stayed all day and all night long. I had an outdoor wedding at 4pm and it was 85 degrees and sunny the whole day and I needed no toug-ups. I also spent the whole ceremony with tears running down my face and I still didn't need any touch-ups. Everything was wonderful and perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks so much Teresa!!

g our initial consultation she made sure I was happy with how she was going to style my hair and make-up on my wedding day before I left. She was very flexible with adding bridesmaid hair and make-up up until the wedding date as my girls needed to finish up their budgeting and decide what they wanted. She arrived exactly on time and we were done before the time I told her we needed to be done by to get to the venue. That was HUGE for me as I've heard so many horror stories about peoples hair and make-up making them late for their own wedding! I had 8 bridesmaid get hair and make-up in addition to me and my mom got her make-up done—it was seamless! Also—if you are like me and do not wear a ton of make-up normally, do not be intimidated by airbrush make-up! Teresa makes it look so natural and it doesn't look or feel heavy and it will last all day/night, so worth it!

I normally never like the results of hair and make-up and I truly was thrilled with the results. Everyone was so happy with how they looked and the best part is she really wants you to like your hair and make-up. It was wonderful having Theresa and her team come to the hotel the morning of the wedding. They did a wonderful job and it was fast. My hair and make-up lasted through a 1 1/2 hour non air conditioned ceremony, 3 hours of driving around taking pictures in the hot sun and a 6 1 /2 hour reception. I am actually sad I don't have an excuse to have either done anytime soon. Theresa is also wonderful in working with your schedule for a trial session if you live out of state and have limited availability.

knew I had to book them. I was nervous about how everything was going to turn out.I was trying to make sure everything was perfect, and no detail in what I wanted was over looked. Teresa responded promptly to every email and even called me the week of the wedding to calm me down and give me a time-line and a detailed run-down in what to expect. Teresa and Jill showed up right on time and, wasted no time at all. they finished myself, 5 of my bridesmaids, and my mother in about 2 hrs, or maybe less. everything turned out just how I hoped and we had plenty of time to spare, and relax before the big moment. Teresa gifted me an "Urban Decay" Setting spray so that we could use it throughout the day to help our makeup last all night, which it did. My photographer had not arrived while they were doing our makeup and hair so Teresa left me a hand mirror and Makeup brush so the photographer could still get the beauty shots I wanted. I was extremely pleased with my hair and makeup and received tons of compliments on it all night! you can really tell that Teresa cares about her brides and went above and beyond to make my day all that and more :)

having your hair done. I paid for a trial with Teresa and everything was fine. On the day of my wedding (October) it ended up being warm with 95% HUMIDITY!! My hair will no hold a curl or do ANYTHING in humidity. I wanted to slightly alter my plan to make sure it looked beautiful for my photos. First of all, a different girl did my hair. This was never told to me. Ever. And I would have not paid for a trial if I had known. What's the point? Then they both became extremely frustrated with me (I asked for a braid to hold a half part and the girl did two small little tiny tiny braids). She clearly had no idea what she was doing. After being told "they can't guarantee anything" and "well I don't really have many options" (I'm sorry. I'm the bride. And it's my hair. I have many options) I just came up with a quick idea that worked. They offered no help. She snapped at my photographer/video crew, she didn't seem like she wanted to be there at all, and they told me I was the only wedding that day so I had girls coming a bit later bc they had hair appointments elsewhere. She kept asking me what time they were coming. As soon as they were done they asked if everyone could pay them and they ran out without evening saying goodbye to my mother nor did they thank us for choosing them to be a part of my special day. Honestly, I felt like she regretted taking my job. She didn't seem happy for me or excited about the girls and how they looked. It was so disappointing. My married friends had such wonderful experiences with other vendors (brought them snacks, followed them to church, etc). If it's just a few girls for makeup and you want no chatter and it done quickly with no conversation, pick them. However, for the price of trials and services I felt ripped off. I have worked in customer service for almost 15 years and I just was in shock. It's my WEDDING DAY. At least pretend you're happy for me. I gave a few stars because My makeup was perfect. But sadly everything else was lacking. Oh, and they left a mirror, comb, and hair spray in my bathroom. I guess they were really in a hurry. Hope this helps!

Teresa went and purchased hair extensions for me (for an added cost) but that saved me a lot of time and hassle as the bride. beautiful. My hair is thin, and we decided to add clip-on extensions to the up-do. It was a great suggestion by Teresa, and I absolutely loved how my hair was the entire day. My make-up was also flawless and she even helped calm me down when I was having a moment -- yes this would be called ugly cry-- right before the start of hair and make-up. She is awesome and is a great value as well! Her pricing can't be beat! Thanks for making me and the women closest to me feel most beautiful! xoox
