of time planning these services, between coordinating with my bridal party and making arrangements with Mia. I spoke with Mia mostly through e-mail and twice on the phone. The first time I spoke with her on the phone, she made me cry; She made me feel bad about asking to negotiate on prices for services and on site fees. (I had no idea how much all services should cost, but I thought it was pretty outrageous). After being shamed about a simple question, I still went ahead and booked, without any price negotiation. Mia recommended that I do a trial hair and makeup which would have cost about as much as having my day of services done. I politely declined, assuring her that I wanted something very simple (natural looking curls and all down). I was trying to save myself time and money, and honestly didn't think it would be possible to mess up. She "strongly encouraged" me to do it and was "very concerned" which of course then had me very concerned - problem was she told me this two weeks before the wedding date and I had no time to do a trial by that time. Around the same time, she wrote me with a frantic message about me needing to pay, which she never invoiced me for, and I told her that I was ready to pay and asked for the invoice. At a time when I was already stressed preparing for the wedding, Mia piled on more stress. Fast-forward to the day of, I was ready to enjoy getting ready with my bridal party, and the two hair stylists showed up that morning without having had breakfast or coffee. They both seemed annoyed..about where to set up, who was going first, etc. I felt like a paid a penalty for not having done a hair trial, because they did a horrible job, didn't really confirm with me what I wanted. I got some messy curls with lots of hairspray. I asked if they could smooth them out some which they did but still did not look great. All of my bridal party was having to get their curls touched up because their curls were not holding, then they ended up touching up their own hair even after and having to apply more hairspray. The only saving grace of all this was Kelly the makeup artist. She did a wonderful job with my makeup, she was very kind and put me at ease. The only issue I had with my makeup was that she didn't use long lasting lip color. She did give me a small container of lip color to reapply, but after we finished getting ready, I couldn't find the container and was not able to reapply. My lip color was completely smeared off except around the edges before the ceremony even began. All in all, I don't think I looked my best on my wedding day, and my girls felt the same way about their hair. Considering we spent a total of $1200 on services, I'd say Mia Bella Beauty Lounge was a total let down. When I see my wedding photos, I am disappointed about the way my hair looked and the way my lip color came off. I wasn't going to write a bad review, because I was over it and I enjoyed everything else about my wedding, but to this day when I think about it I still find myself annoyed with the way Mia and her team made me feel leading up to the wedding and on the day of. I honestly cannot recommend them for taking care of you on a day when you want to look and feel your best, because I did not get that with them.
