e. Both my fiance and I have a good amount of experience behind the camera ourselves, so we had very high expectations, which Mia exceeded ten-fold. We interviewed a LOT of photographers before deciding to go with Mia. Many of the other photographers (some with HUNDREDS of 5 star reviews), were overpriced, spent hours talking about themselves leaving no room for us to actually assess if they were a good fit. Many other photographers were extremely vague about pricing and their packages when we probed further about where their prices were coming from and what adjustments could be made to achieve the highest quality photos without sacrificing a second shooter or pictures spanning across the full wedding day. Mia's packages are straight-forward and reasonable. You get exactly what you want while sacrificing nothing. Our biggest priority was finding a photographer that was reasonably priced but could deliver the best possible results (stunning photos!). We wanted to make sure our wedding and engagement photographer had an extensive knowledge of Newport (best places to shoot, best times to shoot, etc.), a photographer who would get really creative with their shots, and be able to capture the depth of our relationship. We really wanted to find someone who would make us feel (and look) comfortable in photos (I'm someone who seriously does not know what to do with my hands and arms, haha). We could seriously NOT be happier with our decision to go with Mia. The engagement photos we got back from her are STUNNING. There's no other way to put it. We felt like she captured us in a way that shows just how much we love each other, but also how much we have fun and LAUGH together. She didn't miss a beat or a moment- even capturing some hilarious (and romantic) candids that we didn't expect her to. Other photographers that are new to the game tend to overedit and overexpose their photos which makes it hard to see the details in the photo (the couple and the gorgeous background). Mia's editing is on point and she's able to highlight the couple beautifully while still extracting all of the gorgeous details from the environment you're in. We had an absolute blast with her, and by the end of the session we felt that we had made the hands-down best choice for our Newport Photographer. CHOOSE MIA.

The night of the proposal Mia was very discreetly hidden to capture the moment. John later pointed her out to me, and I was so excited! She photographed the proposal and shots after of us too. After exchanging a couple messages, she gave me a call to brainstorm with me ideas of what I could do. I really appreciate Mia working with me by providing insight and recommendations to the Newport area. Being from out of town, I knew generally what I was wanting to do, but with her guidance and expertise I was able to set in stone my plans and how I would pull it off. Leading up to the engagement, Mia and I remained in contact to discuss timing and logistics. A few days prior to our arrival, Mia went to scope out the area in order to find the right angles for her pictures, and where we should be in order to capture the sunset and lighthouse in background. She even sent pictures an hour before of an inconspicuous rock she laid out as my "marker" as the place to stand, facing the water. I was not able to go to the location where I would ask Alexa, so I am very thankful Mia made this as simple as it could be to find where I should go. Mia captured the surprised engagement very elegantly and beautifully. Afterwards, we took a series of photos around the proposal location and up near the resort we were staying at. Mia did a wonderful job capturing this moment after. Some were staged and others were candid of us just enjoying the most exciting moments of our lives. The next morning, I scheduled a private yacht cruise to relax and watch the sunrise from the water. I asked Mia if she would come along with us and take photos. She immediately said, absolutely! We had a blast celebrating with a few mimosas and Mia captured every second! Mia, thank you so much for investing so much into our lives and capturing a truly special time. I give my highest recommendation of Mia. Her work is stunning and will take you back to that place in time no matter how long it has been!

My husband and I had never had any professional pictures taken, so we were a bit nervous and unsure of what to expect, or how to pose. Mia made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and we couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out. Mia also took the time to meet me at our venue to do a walk through of potential shooting spots for our wedding photographs. We called our engagement shoot off a few times for the rain and then finally we decided together that a little rain wouldn’t hurt a picture but would actually make it better. We are in love with our engagement shots and have a bunch blown up and in our house. She kept constant contact and was very flexible with her hours along the way to our wedding day. She is definitely the type of photographer that you can trust to just use her judgment and you’ll end up with gorgeous shots. She just did our wedding last weekend at Patriot Place. A few weeks before, she came and met us there to scope out the place and get an idea for where we wanted pictures and such and she just ran with it. Mia’s attention to detail and the lighting of our pictures was phenomenal. Everything was captured beautifully, in such vivid color. I was also impressed by her assistant’s work. She was completely accommodating and patient as we went back and forth on when and where to do our first look photos. She went above and beyond in picking out a number of really neat sites within a close distance of one another that lead to a really diverse collection of engagement photos that I love. Our wedding photos exceeded our expectations and that of our parents. We ended up with a rainy wedding day, but Mia managed to take phenomenal photos anyway. This really came in handy because it did turn out to be a rainy day and Mia had plenty of ideas for our group shots and our couple shots featuring the beautiful architecture and decor of the hotel. When I found Mia’s work online I remember having an instant feeling of relief, she was perfect and her work was beautiful. s. We just had our engagement shoot about a week ago and already have the photos back. They are beautiful and Mia was extremely easy to work with. She is quick to respond to emails and very flexible in terms of location. The website she uses for viewing photos is easy to use and she also sends a USB to her couples. upon an entry on "Style Me Pretty" which featured Mia. I instantly knew she was "the one!". Her work is not only beautiful, but seemed to really show all of the emotion that a wedding entails. At our first meeting, Mia was organized, professional and had such a calming personality, I knew she would be perfect. About a month before the wedding, we scoped out the ceremony and venue site which was really helpful to determine a plan for the day of. The afternoon of the wedding, my hair and makeup was running a little behind and I was getting super stressed. From the second Mia got there, she was such a calming force that all of the stress was erased for everyone (including me!). Both her and her assistant, Nikki, were professional, go-with-the-flow, and also helped keep the day moving, which I really appreciated. When we received our photos, I can honestly say that I was speechless at first. They were beyond what I could have imagined, and truly captured how the day felt. Mia is not the type of photographer (or at least not my impression) that will throw you from one staged shot to the next. She expected for me to take the lead, and whatever my husband and I did, she snapped the shot. If you are looking for a ton of staged shots, I would recommend talking with her about this first.
