This review is extremely overdue (sorry, Mia!). Mia and her team were nothing short of exceptional. They showed up early, they were extremely prepared, they listened to my ideas and provided recommendations, and they were so friendly. I loved how my makeup and my bridesmaids' hair and makeup turned out! They definitely nailed the natural glam look that I had envisioned for my wedding. On top of everything else, they were extremely gracious when one of the bridesmen decided the girls looked so good that he wanted a little skin touch up too! I thoroughly enjoyed working with Mia and her whole team. They are total pros and made the whole experience so relaxing that I forgot about my wedding nerves for a few hours! If I could do it all over again, I definitely would.

Mia made my now husband and I both feel pampered on our wedding day! I didn’t think he’d enjoy it so much, but the makeup for him was so subtle yet made him feel very dapper and handsome. As for me, she asked what I wanted every step of the way and executed perfectly. She even asked to see my favorite lipstick color then created a similar color on the spot! I am very picky with my makeup and I had not a single complaint the entire time. She definitely knows what she is doing and does it extremely professionally! I felt very comfortable with her as well. She made me feel like a mermaid the way she worked her beauty magic and I can’t thank her or recommend her enough!!! You will not be disappointed one bit if you book with her

Mia is phenomenal! The Artists Co were some of my most responsive vendors, answered all my questions and made the whole process seamless. She did my bridesmaids' hair and they all absolutely loved their looks. My hair and makeup was also perfect, even better than I could have imagined, and held up so well despite wind and rain. Mia has a calming energy that is so needed on one's wedding day. Thank you, Mia!

Mia did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my wedding. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, but Mia got to know me and my personality and made me look like my most beautiful self. I still think back how light my make up and how beautiful I felt the day of my wedding 6 years ago. Mia had also done my MIL and mothers hair and make up. Let me tell you - when I had a different stylist for both of them back in NYC they could not stop complaining and comparing. They kept saying how come you can’t make me look like this to the poor stylist back home. They could not stop saying how Mia had also made them feel beautiful and her work was exceptional.

I cannot recommend Mia enough!! She did exactly what I wanted without me fully knowing what I wanted or what to show her I wanted. I like a very natural glowy look and she absolutely nailed it. My now husband was blown away by how I looked and I couldn’t have felt more beautiful on my big day. She also did an amazing job on my hair. It was even better than the pictures I showed her. And as impressive as she is at her job, she also has the sweetest personality and I loved talking to her throughout the getting ready process. She was so much fun and I’m so happy I chose her for my wedding!

I am so grateful for Mia. She is the sweetest soul I have ever met and her work is absolutely stunning. After having another makeup artist cake my face for our engagement photos (my husband and I both thought it looked bad and unnatural), I did a lot of research for finding a makeup artist that matched the natural look that I was wanting. Although Mia is based in Kaui, after looking at her profile and how stunning and natural she made her brides look, I decided it was worth the little extra to fly her over for our Oahu wedding. Through all the changes that occurred due to COVID, Mia was super flexible, understanding, kind, and patient. She even decided to travel a day earlier than expected to do my hair and makeup for my wedding rehearsal after I had asked if she could last second. As Mia did my hair and makeup, it felt like I was talking to an old friend. She has this calming and humble presence about her that made me feel comfortable and relaxed event amongst all the stressful wedding planning. Come wedding day, I asked her to do a look that was different from what she had done at my trial. She nailed it spot on and made me feel beautiful which I never think or say. Her assistant, Caitlyn, was also very good and OMG hilarious! She too also helped to bring positive vibes into the room while everyone got their hair and makeup done. I would hire Mia for any event. She is absolutely the best at what she does, plus she is the sweetest and most genuine person you'll meet. Thank you so much, Mia!

Mia is the BEST!!! She is so sweet and made me feel so comfortable and beautiful for my sunrise elopement last month. She is very talented and turned my vision into a reality from seeing just a few inspo pictures. She met me at my hotel at 3:00AM on time and ready to go! She truly knocked it out of the park! Absolutely book Mia!! We had originally planned to get married in May, but needed to switch things up for a smaller ceremony in November due to covid. Mia was flexible, communicative, and happily supportive every step of the way. She arrived the morning of the wedding with an extremely professional setup. If you needed or wanted it, she had it plus some!! I felt gorgeous inside and out the day of my wedding, and even had a touch-up kit for the day :) Above everything, her grounded, positive, and calm demeanor is lovely! I'm so grateful for her presence the morning of the wedding. She eased the big energy of the day, and I felt so grounded and beautiful. I grew up on Kauai and know many of the wedding vendors in the community. Hands-down, Mia is the BEST! Look no further to feel beautiful inside and out on your big day :)!

I was so nervous booking someone to do my hair and make up without ever meeting them. That's just kind of what you get when you plan a destination wedding. Mia was everything I could have wanted and more! She did a great job with both my hair and make up. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day. Mia is the best! Getting my hair and makeup done with Mia was easily the smoothest part of my wedding day. I couldn't have been more pleased with how my hair and makeup turned out and Mia was a pleasure to work with. She even fixed my flower hair clip that the florist made way bigger than I requested. Mia is such a great and beautiful soul!! I went to Kauai to get married just me and my now hubby. No family, no friends.. just us. We wanted to focus on us but I was nervous about getting ready solo. If you're looking for someone to do your bridal hair and make-up, Mia Moriguchi is your lady! I couldn't have been more ecstatic with how my hair and make-up turned out. First off, Mia is super responsive to emails. I had a ton of questions, and Mia always responded with good guidance. Secondly, Mia was punctual (arrived 15 minutes early to set up) and came with print outs of the pictures I had sent her. Her level of preparation was very professional. Finally, and most importantly, Mia replicated the hair and make-up I wanted perfectly! Everything held up throughout the evening, too. Not only is Mia amazing at her craft, but she is also super sweet and calming (helpful on the day of your wedding!). So what are you waiting for? Hurry up and book her, as she is usually booked several months out!

Mia did my hair and makeup, as well as my bridesmaid's and mothers. She emailed me back immediately and had a positive, happy attitude. She was very professional and willing to work with our hectic wedding day schedule. She was a lot of fun to be around and really helped me to relax while we all got ready. Not only did I love my hair and makeup, but all 5 of my bridesmaids loved theirs as well! We all looked incredible in my photos and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I would definitely recommend the airbrushed makeup, as it stayed in place on a very hot and humid day. I would recommend her to anyone and would definitely hire her again!!!

Mia/Caitlin were the best makeup/hair professionals I've ever had! Mia did my hair/makeup for my wedding day and she did it so perfectly. She listens to ideas and provides suggestions to enhance what you have and not mask it. I could not be more satisfied with the end result! She also did my bridesmaid's makeup and they all loved it, even the ones that do not wear makeup daily. Caitlin did the bridesmaid's hair and all came out beautiful! Mia is AMAZING! She is SO kind and talented, and I could not be happier with my decision to hire her to do my hair and make up on my wedding day. At my trial, Mia put me completely at ease. I brought in a photo of what I thought was the perfect hair style, and she styled my hair even better than the photo! On my wedding day, she and her assistant showed up early (even though she was sick!) and worked their magic. Everyone was happy with the results. I got the airbrush make up and I'm glad I did; it lasted all night and I did not have to worry about it at all. And I loved my hair style almost as much as I loved my dress! Mia was the perfect match for my girls and I. I truly have never felt so beautiful in my life. She and her team took care of 5 bridesmaids, my mother and the MOG. They did both our hair and makeup. I was planning my wedding from California and Mia was always very responsive and informative. She is a real sweatheart and it was a pleasure having her be part of my big day.

Mia came to our condo to do the hair and makeup for our wedding and she went above and beyond our expectations! We are 2 brides and we wanted to be sure that we each got a different look and she completely succeeded with that. Both of us loved our looks! She brought a helper to do our bridesmaids, and we were happy with her work as well. We even got our 6 year old flower girls' hair done- an experience she can't stop talking about! The entire experience with Mia was perfect for our wedding day. She was so professional and thorough. She positioned the chair that she did the makeup in so that we looked out to the ocean - and this small detail is one of the many reasons I would absolutely suggest Mia. Mia Moriguchi & Assistants – A+ Hair/Makeup I was THRILLED at the job that Mia and her assistants did on the hair & makeup of the bridal party. Everyone looked amazing in photos, and they really listened well to what we wanted. Mia and her team came to our hotel room prepared with printed out photos, which saved us time. Her prices were much lower than the prices at L.A.B. salon, and I was very happy with the end result. I would recommend using Mia Moriguchi for hair/makeup.
