The second that we walked into the Garden to visit, we knew this was the perfect spot for our wedding. It is absolutely gorgeous and you can really make the space your own. But hon...
estly, you don't even have to add much because it's already a botanical garden! Maurice and Corey are so lovely to work with and so caring about making sure everything was perfect on our wedding day. Maurice helped us brainstorm ideas, gave us great vendor recommendations, and worked with us tirelessly on the bar package. He also fluffed out my dress and veil right before I walked down the aisle! I can't recommend this venue enough. The Garden is magical and we had the best night of our lives!
What's more romantic than a garden wedding in the spring? The Miami Beach Botanical Garden was the perfect venue for us (my *husband* and I--can't stop saying it!). We don't live i...
n Miami anymore and booked this venue from only seeing photos and somewhat successful FaceTime call with Maurice--the Events Director Extraordinaire. He was so confident that our day would be so beautiful that we believed every word. We got married during Ultra Music Festival weekend and spring break but the location of the garden was almost secluded, and we were in our own fantasy world living out the fairytale dream. It was honestly the perfect day not only because of the setting but everything leading up captured everything we could've hoped for.
The plants are beautiful, the environment is magical - the garden serves really well for an event space. There is a covered outdoor terrace, a big ballroom, two great lawns, a foun...
tain area with koi fish, and more. We booked our wedding here and are so thankful we did! Maurice helped us execute the wedding, answered our many stupid/specific questions with grace, and demonstrated a great commitment to the success and importance of the day - he made us feel cared for as a client.
I grew up minutes away from the botanical garden and never knew it was there until I started searching for wedding venues- I’m so glad I found it. I had so many guests comment on w...
hat a perfect/beautiful/magical/insert-other-adjective-here venue it was. There are plenty of big spaces for the main events- we got married under the banyan tree (and made the banyan the central motif of the wedding) and then had the reception under a tent in the front lawn- but there are also so many gorgeous little corners for guests to wander around in. We didn’t spend a lot of money on entertainment (games, photo booths, etc) because we knew our guests would be busy taking advantage of the perfect scenery to fill up their Instagram stories- and we were right about that! The staff at the garden is also wonderfully professional- I loved working with Maurice. If you can book the whole garden for your event, I highly recommend it!
We recently had our wedding at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden and it was magical! I grew up on Miami Beach and didn't discover the garden until 2 years ago when my fiancé and I...
were visiting my family for Thanksgiving. We absolutely fell in love with this little piece of paradise and tranquility in the midst of South Beach and knew as soon as we got engaged that this was the only place to have our wedding. From our first meeting with Maurice, we knew we made the right decision. He was extremely helpful and made sure our event went off without a hitch (other than us, of course). Over the course of our planning, he sent us photos of the gardens lit up at night and kept us updated on the status after Irma hit. Even with all the construction going on, the garden was a quiet sanctuary. We took all our formal photos prior to the start of the wedding so we could capture that last vestiges of sunlight before the guests arrived. The garden provided beautiful backdrops and as we exchanged vows under the banyan tree at sunset and the fairy lights came on, it was pure magic. Our guests were able to enjoy the garden both inside (the beautiful Banyan Room) and outside the entire evening and everyone had a great time.
I was married here on April 1 and Maurice and the rest of the staff at MBBG could not of been more wonderful to work with. Their goal was to make our special day truly special. Mau...
rice went above and beyond not only to make sure we were happy, but also to make sure our vision came to fruition. From the minute we put down the deposit until today, he has been very reachable. responsive and informative. Keep in mind that you will need to provide everything for this venue. They do provide a variety of tables and the white folding chairs. Maurice is happy to suggest vendors. While this venue did require more work/planning than a traditional ballroom, it was well worth it. The garden is beautiful and I could not imagine a more beautiful landscape to be married in. I had a fairy-tale wedding and it still feels like a dream. Thank you Maurice!
Working with Maurice and the MBBG staff was a pleasure. We were looking for a venue that was different and authentic!. We got married on 1-15-17 and it was a magical day in a perfe...
ct venue! For a bride it was difficult to find that in Miami without going down south to Homestead of South Dade. The MBBG is in beautiful, walkable, Miami Beach- a perfect location for our majority out of town guests. The venue price was fair although more than I expected but you do get access to the entire garden grounds, security staff, bathroom attendants, and enough tables and chairs for your entire event!
I have to seriously commend Maurice for all of his his hard work. Despite Zika concerns in the fall and construction at the MB convention center, our concerns were quelled and Maurice went out of the way to handle our vendors, guests, and every factor that seemed to come our way.
In the end we had a beautiful day at the most picturesque venue in Miami! Be prepared to bring in allllll of your own vendors and pay extra for 4+ hours at the Garden (all workable and worth it)!!! Thank you MBBG!

isioned our wedding to be. All of the
staff was very helpful and professional, but we would like to especially thank
Maurice, the Sales Manager. He went out of his way to accommodate all of our
needs and we truly appreciate all of his help and hospitality, and we hope he
enjoyed the piece of wedding cake we left for him! This is a stunning venue
that won’t break the bank, and the staff could not have been more helpful.
Thank you all!!
As a bride and groom on a budget, the MBBG was one of the most affordable venue options, while being more beautiful and elegant than some of the pricier places in Miami. This was t...
he perfect place to hold our wedding and reception. The staff was extremely helpful, and our pictures came out gorgeous!
I loved this venue for my wedding. Why?
1. Beautiful scenery
2. Choice of having dinner indoors or outdoors
3. Amazing location - South Beach!!

ckdrop for a wedding. The only reasons I give it 4 stars is that you are expected to be VERY independent and bring ALL of your own vendors. The management is very nice, I never had any problems with them, but sometimes I wished I had a more "hands-on" venue that included the little things like a place to get dressed or advice on transportation, etc.
We immediately fell in love with this venue. The gardens are beautiful. The hall ended up being a little small but we made it work by renting a tent and set up the dinner in the pa...
tio. Overall we were happy but did have a few issue....
First, when you sign the rental agreement there is a membership fee included in the price of the rental. Not negotiable, I signed in November and to date have not received any info about the garden or my membership.
Second, we were not allowed to have our rehearsal picnic there, even though we are members and are paying for renting the place. Something about we are a big group and if we bring food it's considered an event. I didn't understand since random people walk in and have food while there but whatever.
And last, the gates must stay open during the event due to fire safety but that mean anyone can walk right in and believe me they did. We had a strange drunk woman in the middle of our garter toss hitting on the single guys. She was escorted out and left peacefully but that was probably because she was fed and had a few drinks on us. So overall the beauty of this place is worth it, but keep in mind a few minor details. We had a great time and a great wedding but there were a few bumps along the way.
The venue is beautifull by itself. The place is perfect for pictures. Clean, pretty, confortable. Everybody was taking pics of the place.
The MBBG is a beautiful venue that tends to go unnoticed by most locals. After a 6 month renovation and expansion, the garden was more beautiful than ever. The location is ideal ...
in that it has a gorgeous view and it is big enough for guests to roam around the grounds during the reception. MBBG was a huge success.

ime spent in Miami and make a vacation out of it. The Miami Beach Botanical Garden is one of South Beach's best-kept secrets in the heart of the hustle and bustle of one of the biggest party scenes in the world is tucked away this beautiful, serene garden totally open and free to the public, and the perfect location for our evening garden to-do in the warmth of the sunshine and the backdrop of lush tropical vegetation. The staff were very friendly during the planning stage, we booked early despite construction planned to completely re-do the garden - we were assured it would be completed and beautiful just in time...and it was. We were the first wedding debuting the newly renovated garden! The ceremony was outside, I walked along the winding walkway and up to our beautifully decorated bamboo an crystal arch, right up to my groom. Our guests flanked both sides of us in the Banyan Garden and after the ceremony we had excellent lighting in the Japanese Garden for our photographs. The cocktail was held on the Banyan Terrace and we filled in the Banyan Banquet Room for dinner and dancing! Their rates are unbeatable for the perfect mix of indoor/outdoor garden/city...was exactly what we are made of! Thank you MBBG!
Venue was remodeled recently. The garden is breath taking and they only book one event at a time. Only problem was the manager Diana who wasn't very helpful and made promises she c...

We got married here a couple weeks ago and the botanical garden did not dissapoint. It's a gorgeous venue for the price in Miami Beach, outdoors ceremony and cocktail hour and did ...
the reception in the banyan room. My only real complaint is that the AC in the banyan room could be a lot better. The guests were hot at some points of the party. Silvia the garden attendant does draping too for an extra fee, she is very nice and responsive. Overall a great experience, the pictures even from guests are just beautiful.
We just got married April 9 and had both the ceremony and reception at the garden. The venue is beautiful which made all the pictures come out amazing!!! You do have to have to do ...
everything yourself because they don't provide any services. They do have a lady named Silvia who drapes the Banyan Room (totally worth it!) and will get you a runner for the isle if you need it... all at an additional cost of course (~$800 more). It was truly the PERFECT setting!
Searching for a reception site for our wedding literally brought me to tears. Miami is expensive, especially for hotels and outdoor venues. Many of the outdoor venues are historica...
l sites and have strict rules (like no glassware) and high prices. A coworker suggested I look at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, which I didn't even know existed. I went and fell in love. The Banyan Room was PERFECT for our wedding of around 60 people and allowed us to have our reception outdoors in a private garden with the inside room as the backup in case of bad weather. They were very easy to work with, especially when we asked the week of our wedding to extend the reception an extra hour. (They said, "Sure!" And we paid via credit card over the phone.) We were also able to bring in an outside caterer. Many hotels required us to use their catering services and they had a food and beverage minimum of upwards of $10,000, which was ridiculous for only 60 people. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue both for its beauty AND affordability. I would definitely have an event there again.
MBBG is the perfect venue for anyone who loves the outdoors! The gardens provide an elegant backdrop while also allowing a blank canvas for any decor!
I wanted a low key place and a garden scene. I got everything I wanted and more. The garden has such beautiful elements that I didnt even want to mess with anything. Location was a...
wesome, the people who I dealt with there were a little to snotty. One person says one thing, another said another thing. Overall I had the best time of my life and all of my guests fell in love with this location!
This location worked for our wedding as we wanted an outdoor ceremony and our wedding was in aug. The venue was perfect because there are many areas to chose from for the ceremony,...
many different areas for beautiful pictures and a banyan room that is air conditioned. The entire wedding was held in one location. There is however a contract that you have to sign and there are rules and regulations that one must adhere to. It was painfree for us because we used an event planning company that has worked closely with the MB Botanical Gardens and is very familiar with the rules. But follow up on them with the landscaping and cutting of the lawn at your wedding site in the gardens.
I had both my ceremony and reception there, it was absolutely stunning and the staff really went all out to make sure my wedding day went smoothly.
This place is spectacular for a garden wedding! They have several gardens available for rental depending on what you want and the size of your wedding. They have gardens available...
for a party of 10 or you can even rent the entire garden if you'd like which I'm sure can fit thousands of people. The overall price for renting is quite affordable, probably the most affordable we found. We were able to rent an area that included the garden and an indoor salon (to fit 150-200) for under $900.00. They are strict on their policies but overall very much worth it!
The atmosphere is beautiful! I definitely recommend this place to anyone!
My ceremony and reception were at the same location which my guests truly appreciated. It was a beautiful location which made for great pictures from the ceremony to our send-off.;...
Have a good day-of wedding coodinator; any complaints I might of had were taken care of by my planner so Im uncertain of what went wrong. The On-site manager at the time was careless and didn't return my deposit but once I called and spoke to the new staff the addressed the matter quickly. One other thing we had noise complaints twice because the on-site manager did not inform the band or dj about the acoustics so the cops came twice due to noise complaints.
The area is very open and airy...the surroundings of the lush gardens were beautifully lit at night and looked amazing.;Rent a tent! The weather is unpredictable and if it rains,...
it could ruin your event.
Garden had very nice areas for pictures, quaint and private;MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING, BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD CLOSE THE GARDEN AN HOUR EARLIER FOR ME AND ...
THE MANAGER AT THE TIME DID NOT PUT IT IN THE CONTRACT; SHE LEFT THE JOB AND ANOTHER MANAGER CAME IN AND TOLD ME SHE COULD NOT DO THAT BECAUSE IT WAS A PUBLIC PARK. SHE DID NOT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING AS SHE WAS NEW AT HER JOB AND NOT A PEOPLE PERSON AT ALL, NOT WILLING TO WORK WELL WITH OTHERS.
The place is beautiful. Pretty gardens convenient location in the heart of South Beach.;Facilities need to be updated such as bathrooms and other building features
We had the wedding reception in the great lawn. Backdrop was a garden wall. The cocktail hour was in the Japanese Garden. Lovely pictures. Reception was in the Banyon Room.;We re...
