February 14, 2020: I contacted Miami Event Photo Booth because I was planning a 200+ person landmark birthday party for my spouse at our home. The party was planned for March 28, 2020.
The Terms and Conditions printed at the bottom of the Invoice states that “If provider cannot perform this contract due to fire or casualty, strike, act of god, or other cause beyond the control of provider, or due to operator’s illness or emergency, then provider shall return the retainer to the client but shall have no further liability with respect to the contract…”
March 17, 2020: The event was ultimately canceled due to Miami-Dade County’s mandated quarantine.
Miami Event Photobooth responded that their “management team has put into effect that any events that are canceled/ postponed due to the Coronavirus can have the deposit transferred to a future date within the year (excluding holidays).” This was not a mutually agreed upon provision, nor a permissible addition to the existing contract (as stated in the Terms and Conditions).
July 27, 2020: I emailed that the event would not be rescheduled. This is because the event anticipated many out of town guests, and because the previously anticipated 200-person guest list was not possible. The same day, I received a response that the Terms & Conditions “still stand as we were able to still work and have been working during the COVID-19 pandemic.” If the Terms and conditions still stand, then the inability of Miami Event Photo Booth to perform their end of the contract due to an “act of god, or other cause beyond the control of provider…shall return the retainer to the client..”
July 31, 2022: I inquired again about the return of my deposit. The company asked me when I had rescheduled the party. In the 2.5 years since the initial event, much has transpired, including among others: (1) the landmark birthday has passed, (2) relationships have ended, (3) some invited guests have passed away, and (4) I have relocated.
August 15, 2022: I’m simply seeking the return of the deposit(s) as per the originally signed agreement. The additional provision was not mutually agreed upon, the cancellation circumstances were extreme beyond what I could have imagined, and there is no longer a need for the services.

opposite of what I asked for… and I even left printed instructions and walked them through it. I also thought the three-photo shoot in seconds was too fast and as a result the photos are not as good as they could have been. I can’t say I would recommend them. Adequate, but not great. I could chalk it up to language barrier, but regardless of the reason, I’d give them a C.

aptured the theme of the wedding and created a design that went perfect with the aesthetics. They were on point with arrival and set up! The attendant was so helpful and even put the left behind photos in the guestbook for us at the end of the night. as simple. We received a quote online and the company followed up. The staff even helped us pick out a package that would save us money but still get us what we wanted. A few days before the wedding, the design team reached out to discuss the design of the photo strips. We sent them our wedding invites and they were able to incorporate it the strips. On the day of, the booth was a hit! The staff was on time and professional. All the guests enjoyed themselves and are still talking about it. I would highly recommend booking them!

They sent two people to help manage the booth and they're probably my favorite photos from the wedding. On a deeper level, my day-of wedding planner was awful and just completely disappeared and dropped the ball so many times. When I came up to the after-party location to check if it was all ready for the guests at 10:30 PM (by myself on my wedding night!!!) ...Miami Event Photo Booth was already set up. They had shown themselves up/never met my planner. Set up on their own, even found my box of photobooth supplies I brought and set it up with their stuff. I was so so impressed and relieved. They were so professional and it was one less thing to worry about. The photos were such a hit and we already have so many friends who have made their pics their profile pics (including my now husband!)
