Located in Alexandria, VA, Mia’s Italian Kitchen is a restaurant and wedding venue. Nestled in a historic building close to the water in Old Town Alexandria, the restaurant was designed with thoughtful and sophisticated decor. Both a lively yet refined space, the restaurant provides not only an environment of understated luxury but fresh and flavorful dishes to complete the event. Family is the soul of Mia’s Italian Kitchen and a heart-warmning story of familial relationships echoes in the walls of the restaurant. In 1904, Filomena Galeazzo Masucci landed in America with her husband from Italy. There they started a family and established their new life. Filomena would go on to inspire her great-grandson Dave’s love for cuisine. It was the language of food that the two communicated with, given that Filomena did not speak English. Teaching him the traditions of homemade Italian cooking from her native Naples, Dave gained his initial experience with the wonders of cooking. These are the traditions that drive the restaurants he now owns. Inside Mia’s Italian Kitchen you will find two floors of welcoming earthen hues and considered furnishings that bridge sophistication and comfort. French doors and large windows offer a note of elegance, while the green color of the bar, the lushness of leather seating, and brick walls provide a rustic ambiance. Meanwhile, marble accents and artwork lend themselves to a sense of cultivation. Inside there is seating for up to 180 and there is more room outside on the patio. Catering and drinks are provided for through the restaurant, which continues their dedication to quality ingredients and carefully crafted dishes for your wedding meal. Your event's food can be served in a variety of ways, including buffet or plated styles.
