reached out to me when we first had contacted her through our venue Sainte Terre. She made sure to take note of the most important moments that we wanted to be captured. Micahla was very organized in every aspect. She made a draft schedule that I received over a year before our wedding date and a finalized schedule that I received a month before. This made everything stress free for both me and my husband (and our wedding party/families). Micahla paid very close attention to the small details that we wanted captured and to the details that we included in our décor. The entire day was stress free and I did not have to think about what I wanted captured; Micahla took care of everything for us! She was very sweet, gentle, and patient with all the kids in our families and accommodated to their unpredictable movements and faces (Both of our families still talk about how great she was). Micahla was a team player for my husband and I after it had started raining after our ceremony; and I swear the pictures in the rain are the most romantic pictures I have ever seen! We received the photos within the 10-day deadline that Micahla has set. The photos are breathtaking, and we get so many complements about how great our photographer was. My husband and I are very appreciative of the memories that Micahla had captured, and we have talked about using her in the future for family pictures.

hed our wedding, engagement and my bridal photos. From our very first email I could tell she was going to be our photographer, this was before I had even talked to her on the phone or met her in person. Her kind personality just shines through the screen. I had a lot of anxiety about our engagement shoot matching what I had in my head and had lots of questions and a detailed shot list. Micahla was supportive and patient through it all and happily collaborated with me. Funnily enough, by the time we got to the actual wedding day I didn’t have a shot list because I knew I could trust her to capture the day better than the ideas I had in my head — she did not disappoint. I should probably mention that Micahla primarily photographs and lives in Louisiana and my husband and I live in Texas. But it was so worth it and a small price to pay for her travel to our hometown in Dallas and then Dripping Springs for our wedding. Normally, I’m very aware of the camera and end up with some very unnatural photos because of it. But from our engagement shoot forward, I felt like I could be myself so the photos feel candid and not posed. The wedding day was oddly calm and stress free. Both my husband and I attribute a lot of that to Micahla being there. The moment she arrived I could tell I felt more at ease. I echo the things other couples have said about her fast turnaround time, light and airy style and so on. That being said, I feel the event that best explains what a joy it is to work with Micahla is when we were shooting my bridals. We were in a converted warehouse studio accompanied by my two cats, Luna and Leon. We were only about halfway through the shoot when Leon made a puddle of pee right in the center of the train of my dress. The whole scene was just plain comical, Micahla and looked at each other with a mix of shock and irony trying to figure out what to do next. Being who she is, she quickly turned a less than ideal situation in to something fun. Not to be bummed out by a little cat pee, we decided to keep shooting — after all that’s what Photoshop is for, right? The rest of the shoot went on without issue. Although we couldn’t stop laughing as I spun around in my dress wafting the smell of cat pee around the room and giggling about how care free we were about the whole situation. All that mattered in the end was that my cats were okay and we had a good time. The spot came out without issue before the big day and those photos with my cats are possibly some of my favorite photos much to my husband’s chagrin. (Don’t feel to bad for him though, he knew he was marrying a cat lady.) Lastly, I think I can speak for both of us when I say we feel incredibly blessed to have had Micahla as our photographer and wouldn't have it any other way. I personally feel like I’ve gained a lifelong friend and she’s the one I will always go to for all my future big life events.

sure everything was perfect! She met us in Dallas even though her daughter wasn’t feeling well! Before our trip she gave advice on outfits and scenery and took the PERFECT set of engagement pictures! We couldn’t be happier! She’s amazing on every level!! So grateful she captured exactly what our daughter and her fiancé wanted!! We love you Micahla!
