Book these two ASAP!!! We are overjoyed with the beautiful photographs from our September 2023 outdoor Virginia wedding. Michael and Laura were so organized and incredible to work with from the second we reached out. We were nervous to get in front of the camera, but Michael and Laura immediately put us at ease. We did our engagement shoot at sunrise in a park in Washington, DC - they coached us through poses and scouted out the best spots in advance - and we loved the photos so much we worked with Michael and Laura to make them into a guestbook for our wedding. On our wedding day, Michael and Laura captured every moment so beautifully and were great to work with. They were so attentive to our every need, from making sure my husband's hair was in place to keeping tissues and eye drops close when I needed them. They made sure to get every shot we asked for and helped make our timeline run smoothly so Laura could pull us away for some stunning golden hour photos. Our family and friends are still talking about how much they loved Michael and Laura. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

Michael and Laura were an absolute pleasure to work with for our September 2023 wedding! Not only are they extremely talented photographers, but genuinely amazing people. My husband and I do not particularly enjoy taking pictures, but Michael and Laura made our engagement session so laid back that we knew we would be comfortable during our wedding day! They do a fantastic job of portraying you both as a couple, and not as a scripted pose. They encouraged us to laugh and giggle and be ourselves throughout our engagement session and our wedding day. Their attention to detail is second to none, and they also work so well with other vendors like coordinators and videographers. I could not believe how quickly they turned around our photos! They had a slide show at our RECEPTION with a few pictures throughout the day and then posted so many pictures on their blog just 5 days after our wedding. They are just such a wonderful couple, and we are so thankful we found them to capture our special day!

We hired Michael & Laura for our wedding in Lexington, VA and were blown away by how comfortable they made us feel during shoots and how stunning the photos turned out. From our engagement shoot, to the rehearsal dinner and wedding day - they did an amazing job! They made us feel so comfortable and confident, flattered our guests and captured so many special moments. Outside of the photography, their communication throughout the planning phase and execution of our wedding day was phenomenal. Michael and Laura are wonderful! Not only are they talented photographers, they seem to really care about your happiness. They’re responsive and happy to answer questions/provide advice. I’m very detail oriented and they’ve never acted annoyed by my outreach. I did 3 sessions total with Michael and Laura (engagement session in October and wedding in June with my husband as well as a bridal portrait session in April). They were the first vendor we booked after choosing our venue and date (actually, we reached out to them before we booked the venue/date but waited until we had both finalized to sign the contract). One of the things I loved about the bridal portrait session we did (which I actually wasn’t initially super sure about doing) was that they really put me at ease ahead of our wedding. I’m very critical of how I look and I struggle with anxiety but being able to put the whole look together and then receive tons of gorgeous photos (seriously, I felt so happy and reassured when I saw those photos, I’ve never felt more beautiful) really helped ease my stress and the pressure I was putting on myself. The only negative from the bridal portraits was that my Maid of Honor messed up the buttons on my dress! My dress had a beautiful back so a lot of the photos were taken of the back and the button issue was VERY obvious. But, of course, Michael and Laura came to the rescue and were able to photoshop the back in some of my favorite photos. Maybe the best thing about them is how great they are at hyping you up. They help you feel confident while taking photos and just make the whole experience fun! I can be really awkward, especially in photos/when people are looking at me but when you’re with them, it’s hard to overthink because they’re keeping you hyped and engaged and taking so many pictures. After the photoshoots, they worked with us to get us what we needed for our albums and stationery. In October, after our engagement shoot, I needed to get save the dates out so they worked quickly to get our photos to us, first sending us a bunch of “favorites” that we could start working with and then delivering the full gallery soon after (even though it was a super busy time for them). Now, we’re working with them on some albums from our wedding and they’ve continued to make some edits to our final photos so that the albums are the best they can be. If all that isn’t enough, they really impressed everyone they interacted with on our wedding day. They offered to hold people’s glasses (both eye and wine) for photos, brought me water, ran back to our sweetheart table to grab my bouquet while we were taking sunset photos, and more! Oh, and they love DIY and even built us some shelves to use for our champagne welcome (seriously!) If you want a light and airy style and photographers who care about your happiness, don’t hesitate to hire Michael and Laura.
